Wonderful but....

4/5

Only four stars for one of the greatest figures?!! Why? For one simple fact, not painted. And i know its not. What makes it worse is if the detail wasnt there. If she wasnt so detailed, it wouldnt be much of a lose to not paint her. But you see the product picture and thats what you want her to look like, trust me, ALL THOSE DETAILS ARE THERE!!!!! Which is why its so sad they wont paint her like that. if so id buy like a dozen and keep all but one in the box. She needs to be painted. So badly.

A fantastic mini

5/5

I thought I'd written a review already..
Anyway, this is one of my favorite miniatures ever!! I saw & just had to have it.
The detail is amazing.
She comes with her fox familiar, Daji, though baseless. I glued him to a wooden circle. You might be able to make him stand up without such a base, but I couldn't, especially when things get moving. (& who has their companions or familiars glued to the character's bases in the first place?)
I used her for my Elf witch, and the familiar as well. I love that the hair keeps the ears covered so she has many uses.
Feiya rocks!

She'll Put a Spell on You!

5/5

This mini is amazing, you can just see her putting a hex on someone. The Witch is a longtime favorite class for me & my players.

Trust me, you'll want this mini! I know I'm glad I have two of em'!

She looks very cool.

If it wasn't for the face, she'd be as sexy as the picture of her in the back of fallen fortress....I love the top of the hair, and everything from the neck down though.

My Mrs is playing a witch, so this model will have to be acquired and painted for her....

Faces are as good as you paint them, mate. I've seen the same model with a terrible face and with one that looks beautiful only difference being the paint job.

Oh, indeed, they could have made the Mona Lisa in lead* and it'd look like a goblin by the time I was done ;)

What I meant though, is the face looks a lot different, and doesn't seem to fit the rest of the model. YMMV.

*I know it isn't actually lead.

This model is *amazing* !
I cannot wait to get a couple.
I think the face looks fine. Maybe not as small featured as on the back of that book, but gosh, look at the detail everywhere else!
Anyway, thanks Paizo. Feiya rocks!

Just got this figure in the mail today, and it looks fantastic. I wanted to mention that, even though it doesn't appear in the picture, the fox familiar is included with Feiya. It was a nice surprise.

Nice paint job in the image now.

Nice to know that they included Daji with Feiya.

But dumb question time: does the figurine come pre-painted or not? I literally cannont paint miniatures, I just don't have sufficient control in my hands for something that delicate. So if Feiya and the others come already done that'd be a tremendous help.

So no, they don't.

You might put up an ad at your local gaming store that you are looking for a miniatures painter. Someone in your local community might be willing to paint it for you for a reasonable cost. I can't paint either, so I've been considering this myself, as I know there are some good miniatures painters in my area.

I bought this one in one of my local stores and I love it, but she did not come with a fox familiar. Is there any way to buy just the fox?

You could also try talking to reaper's customer service folks - if it was a new in box feiya I think it is supposed to come with a fox. They might send you a free one.

It looks great with the added grass and color textures to it.

It was but I know I bought it over a year ago and thus the box and receipt and long gone. I'll try to contact them and see what they say though. This is the first witch I've gotten to play... lately, I've either been the GM or playing in one of our long term games so I'm really looking forward to the character.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Reaper does often sell minis parts in their online store in a section called "the boneyard," and it appears that they do have Feiya's fox familiar Daji available separately: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/60048/sku-down/60048#boneyard (scroll down towards the bottom).

I'd still contact Reaper and see if they can help you out...

Thanks for this! (I really need to start stopping by more often).

I contacted Reaper and then sent me free! I hadn't expected that. I think she said that a number of the first set shipped to Canada had been sent without the fox by mistake. It was my first time dealing with Reaper directly and I was really impressed with the customer service. Since then, I've started hitting the website rather than my nearby gaming stores when I'm looking for new things. I seem to have a better chance of finding the item on their site than I do at my gaming store (lately, in particular, a small character with wings for our Spivey character in the Jade Regent game).

All in all, I was really happy! Thanks everyone for the great advice!

I'm not sure what to do with the fox? There's a slot in the base for Feiya, but not for the fox. Should I purchase a separate base for it, or glue it to Feiya's base, or what?
