Honestly, my hexes currently have a save of 24-26, so quite reasonable numbers there. I'm a cardmancer, so no familiar growth at all there, no matter the level. I do lose the Patron spells, but honestly, I can take them as actual spells in most cases if they're useful.

I will be the first to admit that this character isn't exactly optimized, but I love the idea of where its going. I hadn't considered Vital Strike, but that and Pirahana Strike are both really interesting ideas to play with. Vital Strike especially, since I can also start playing with enlarging my character as well.

Thank you for the ideas so far! Keep them coming if you've come up with other ideas. I may be looking at more monster feats, since Natural Attacks is something that most players don't have to deal with but monsters do all the time.

I'm playing a witch (11th level, with 1 level of fighter)and I've decided to go up as elderich knight next level. She's a crocodile shifter, with a 9 strength (10 when in my croc form), a dex of 18 and an intelligence of 28. My gm allowed me to take a feat from the Advanced Options: Witches Hexes (Medusa Locks) which gives me a natural attack with my Prehensile Hair, which allows me to use my intelligence modifier instead of my strength.

Can anyone suggest a few feats for me? Really the only fighter type feat I have right now is Arcane Strike. I was considering taking Improved Natural Attack to raise my hair to a 1d8 rather than a 1d6 dmg, but I was hoping for some other options to look over.

Sorry, I'm reading book three and I might just be missing it, but is the Dark Depository always deadly? Besides being a follower of Nethys, is there any other way past the traps? If it's always deadly, won't the librarians be really pissed to have all their defenses destroyed by people they gave permission to be there?

You're totally not helping me win my 2gp, Merisiel... :P

Merisiel,

I was just wondering if you've ever slept with the innkeeper of the Rusty Dragon in Sandpoint, Ameiko Kaijitsu?

Just asking, since I happened to be in Sandpoint a while ago and saw you flirting with her. I totally do not have 2 gp riding on the answer. ;)

I would love to see a full book on Kitsune and a book on the Whore Queens. I'd also love to see one on each of the Tien countries. Minkai, The Forest of Spirits, Tien... We haven't seen enough of that land yet!

Thanks for this! (I really need to start stopping by more often).

I contacted Reaper and then sent me free! I hadn't expected that. I think she said that a number of the first set shipped to Canada had been sent without the fox by mistake. It was my first time dealing with Reaper directly and I was really impressed with the customer service. Since then, I've started hitting the website rather than my nearby gaming stores when I'm looking for new things. I seem to have a better chance of finding the item on their site than I do at my gaming store (lately, in particular, a small character with wings for our Spivey character in the Jade Regent game).

All in all, I was really happy! Thanks everyone for the great advice!

It is a pretty cool idea. My GM has pretty much said that he won't describe it, mostly because he doesn't care. It's window dressing to him, and if it isn't affecting the game, it can look however you want it to. I personally like the idea of hair and Alexander's idea of it differentiating between the three is a wonderful idea.

I love the idea of a form that looks like the anime girl with fox ears and otherwise human, but yeah, not for my Pathfinder games. I insist that you at least look non-human in your non-human form. :P

Personally, I started using the Best Dice app for Android about a year ago now and I love it. When I'm rolling badly, I can remove the offending die from existence! (Mwahahahahahaha)

Seriously though, Best Dice is a wonderful program that is a physics roller. It shows the dice rolling. You can pick them up and move them around, individually and roll them, if you want. Hell, it even makes the sound of dice rolling on a table!

My GM occasionally had problems with the random rollers, that just seemed to pick numbers, but aside from an eye roll and a sigh when I first started using this one, he seems fine with it. Perhaps because I handed it over to him every time I got a crit for the first few months, since I felt the need to prove that I'd gotten one.

As a GM myself, I don't care how you roll... so long as the table is having fun. If an electronic die roller helps, then so be it!

It all depends on the players and the GM's, really. If my GM asked me not to use them, I'd be disappointed but fine with it. However, as a GM myself, I am fine with real or electronic(especially if its a physics roller).

I'm a huge fan of the kitsune race(I admit, a lot of it is nostalgia, since they're also my fav of the mythological creatures as well), but I had a question.

The books say that a kitsune's normal form is an anthropomorphic fox form. Here's my question... Do the kitsune have hair in that form? Only fur? The pictures of Miyaro from the Jade Regent shows wafting hair behind her, the same shade as her fur, but the picture in the advanced race book doesn't, though that could be due to other reasons (bald human form, for example).

I realize that this is completely a visual effect and won't matter in the game, but I was wondering if there is any official word on this? Or unofficially, what do you guys think? Hair or fur?

It was but I know I bought it over a year ago and thus the box and receipt and long gone. I'll try to contact them and see what they say though. This is the first witch I've gotten to play... lately, I've either been the GM or playing in one of our long term games so I'm really looking forward to the character.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I bought this one in one of my local stores and I love it, but she did not come with a fox familiar. Is there any way to buy just the fox?

Hello. I've been trying to remember a specific issue of Dragon for the longest time. It was 2-4 years ago, and it featured new Bard spells, for 3.0. The only spell I really remember that the article contained was Sum Up. Does anyone know what issue this was in? I know I'm not giving many details, but I didn't have the cash to buy it then, and now I'm going to be playing a bard in a level or two. If anyone could help me with this, it would be apprieciated!

Kobolds. I really like other monsters, but I will always remember my players looking at me with disgust in their eyes, since after all the kobolds played smarter (even if they weren't smarter) than the group of 3 wizards, a fighter and a thief. They still refer to my kobolds as Brandy's Evil Kobolds of Death, Sniper division. I'll mention my other 4 choices after I've looked though my monsters books again.

I love ShadowDancer because it's that in and out-not seen or hit thing that I love, but my personal recent Favourite, was the 5 lvl Druid/7 lvl Shapeshifter Prestige Class. She was the best secondary character. Need a good fighter...Suddenly I'm a hag or a Dragon(abeit a small one). Need a diplomat...here's the nymph with 25 Cha. Need a...Well you get the picture. My favourite moment was when she turned into a pegasus to fly the fighter around during a battle, cause he was the only one who could hit the black dragon. I nearly died from acid, but it was awesome.

My opinion...Personally, I love the update. I'd only played and GM'd for 4 years before they changed to 3.0 so it was reasonalby easy for me to convert. In addition, I hated THAC0 with a passion and refused to play unless I had that wonderful character sheet where you could write all of the THAC0's out (okay so I didn't, but you get my point). My only complaint is that they should have realized the problems, and fixed them before putting out the game. Example: I bought a player guide, then got the "fixes", then boyfriend bought the New players guide with all revisions, then they put out 3.5. Come on, these things aren't Magic Cards, and I don't have the money to buy a new set of books every 6 months!

Hey, after all, if you roleplay one game, you might roleplay this. I'm a 25 year old female gamer who loves to play cybered characters, and my Boyfriend likes Deckers (but will play almost anything). I live in Calgary, Alberta. Hey I play D & D too though. So, if you've got a Saturday game going on and you need another player (in about another month's time), send me a line.
