I do not see this as a bad price. I am going to buy all the paper minis and that is going to cost me $40 plus I have to print them. Everyone I know would love to just buy something with everything ready to go. ![]()

Two things, if the art work is the hold up could we just forgo the art and just have the product? I have also pre-ordered and I have not asked for a refund, is there a way to verify that I am still on the list. I am worried with the way it was stated that the records may not be all there. ![]()

The first volume will be entitled THE GATHERING STORM and will go on sale November 3, 2009. I will admint I love the WoT series but I can name about 3 books that should have been just cut from the series and it would have made it a lot better. Now Brandon Sanderson is finishing the series and I read the first of the Mistborn series liked it but have yet to finish the seies have to wait for my order to arive. I am hearten by the fact that Jordon kept a lot of notes on how he wanted the ending to happen. ![]()
![]() Poor Baydenostasich I feel bad for you. He was roll playing so well and my Barbaian is the the one who thought he could help and rolled a one. So I apolize for that. Then I tried to save the day but could not roll above a 5 on a STR check to open the door so our poor Bard was alone for a while. I then ran out got nailed by a flaming sphere and had one hit point left. I then told her you had better kill me this round or I will kill you. Witha shrug she said "Ok" and Magic Missled me to -9 and one failed satblization roll I was dead and the Bard was back to playing chess with the flaming spheres. ![]()

No one was setup to be a traitor or be loyal. Players were given Power cards that they could use. The "traitor/loyal" cards were to be given out after the GM felt that the player had made there choice. If the player was acting in a way that was loyal to his or her house they were to be given the loyalty card if on the other hand they decided to go against the house or gain power for them selves then they were to be considered traitor. It was all in what you wanted to do during the game. ![]()
![]() Also Stuart and I talked with some of you after the game but our suggestion was that because there were three challenges that had to be completed and no one knew what they were but the Daemon patrons. You could have had it as each Daemon had three tasks that they wanted done and each time a house completed one they were told about one of the challenges. Each challenge could be set up to cause the same amount of chaos that was going on. The challenges could be suited to each of the houses flavor. For example for the house of assassins kill the head of this house or the house of diplomats gain X amount of people sworn to you house. Then after all three are completed and the House knows what needs to be done to win the throne the GM can now send them up to Steve or Nick. A couple of things could happen at this point. First you could then say that only one person may enter the throne room at a time so that the house has to decide who should go in or you could have who ever is left from the house can enter. Second you could have it so the first one there goes in and no one else can go in until the challenge is won or lost. So if another house tries to go in they can not or you could have it so that it ends up that each of the surviving houses have one person outside the throne room and have a fight to see who gets to go in. Have a table that is only for the throne room maybe set in another room or blocked of from the rest and a table that would represent the outside of the throne room.

![]() First Steve sorry about that I did not mean that he was your wife bit of a editing problem on my part so I apologize to all three of you. I GM part of High House Vonnarc and my group came in think it was a Paizo adventure and was going to be ran like one not like the LARP that it turned out like. It took them awhile but they got into it and ran with it. I ran them outside of town were they fought off several Deathweb’s and undead before making an insane deal with the Shadow Dragon. The second of the house started talking to the dragon wanting to have it as an ally but the Dragon says you’re a weak race why should I prove yourself to me. A big fight with Dread Wraiths ensures and in the middle one of the players decides that they will teleport next to the dragons head and talk while the rest are getting it handed to them. The player then offers up 100 years of servitude to the dragon and anything else it desires to stop and join sides with there house. So the Dragon says that the House will owe it three favors that it can call in at anytime for any reason no questions asked and it will accept. A bargain is stuck and the Dragon takes off to the city. So now the Second of the house is mad because he was in charge and some lower class of the house made the deal. So he waits lets the guy walk back towards the city and summons a chain devil to attack him. After a brief fight the lesser Drow teleports back to the city because he is about to die. Was a great moment when the Second in command yells out “Learn you place young one” and attacks him. I hear latter that the Dragon took out two houses on its own and is still alive.

![]() I was wondering what did people like about the game and what did they not like about the game? I had an amazing time GMing part of High House Vonnarc (Who won by the way lol) I am very thankful to Nick, Steve and his wife, Shane for allowing me to participate. I have so many favorite moments I can not begin to tell them all. My favorite part that I played was introducing a Shadow Dragon who then went on to take out two houses on its own and managed to survive the Chaos. I will say this, the funniest thing I heard about came from Necessary Evil hands down the best story I have heard in so long. If anyone knows how to contact him ask him to post it up because it ranks right up there with the Head of Venca or attacking the Gazebo stories. ![]()

If I remember right the Drow were originally a brown skin color and after their banishment was cursed by Corellon Larethian. They then became black skinned because they turned away from the light. This is why they are called dark elves now. I do not see this as offensive. I see this as a way of opening up “good drow” for players and still keep the “evil drow” in play. I personally was tired of the Dritz clones and then having to worry “Well he is Drow but because of this one famous example we should stop and be nice.” ![]()
![]() We loved AOW heck we played an Epic continuation of AOW that took about 6 months. That was really fun but we have tried to play STAP and to be honest the whole group is just kind of like “nuuuu” We had taken a every other week approach to it so we are going to start playing every week on it see if that helps but AOW started out really cool but STAP has been what are we doing, why are we doing this, Why should we help her? Nothing has really made us get into our characters. We are hoping that the Isle of Dread will start to make things interesting but I do not know if it will be something we will finish out or not. We have started playing 4th and really like it. The biggest reason I think personally is that we ran Epic levels and I do not feel like doing high play again. Just not fun at all. ![]()
![]() Wow I mean Wow! Thank you for the advice that is the best advice that I have gotten from a post. If I could I would bake you a cookie but the end up burnt mostly LOL. I do thank you that was very helpful and I feel a lot more confident in doing a Harrow reading for my group now. My hat is off to you. ![]()
![]() Well to be honest while I do agree with some of Mr. Pramas points of the new edition not being too friendly to new players. I can not complain about 4E not attracting new players because the books did something I have not been able to do in the 5 years of my marriage, it got my wife wanting to play. She picked up the PHB while I was reading over the DMG and started asking questions and reading about the different races. Now she wants to learn how to play. Something that the 3.5e could not due and god did I try. Now granted the artwork and the explanations for each of the races was what sold her I believe and she has not tried to read anything else about the rules. She says just teach me it is easier for me to learn by doing than reading it. If our group can get her into the game then she will start to read the rest she says. ![]()
![]() I read a thread were someone basically took the Harrow cards that they wanted to use in the reading, sat them off to the side, shuffled the Harrow deck and when the players were not looking put the cards they wanted on top. This allowed the players to think that the whole thing was random and the DM was able to foreshadow a lot of things that was coming up in the adventure.

![]() I looked at adventure and decided that I will try and stick as close to what the encounters call for. I have been looking at it and I really do not see too much of a problem in converting it over. Oh I know it will take some changes and work but hey who doe not like a challenge  I went with for the first fight something like this. Level 3 Encounter XP 850
A nice encounter and just twisting it enough to make it still have the same feel to it. I plan on running the encounter by opening up the whole fishery as the encounter. In this way they have to deal with everyone and no just ok we got them now let’s get Lamm. This fits in with the whole 4e concept. ![]()
![]() I find that it does not matter what game you play or what edition. Our group has played everything from 3E, Starwars (D6 to Saga), Exalted, Warhammer RPG, D20 Modern, anything Whitewolf. You name it and someone in our group has played it at one time or another. Roleplaying can and is only encouraged by the people in the group and the Dm.

![]() I think that just the thrill of wining would be worth it to my players. I see the group working together and winning. Then as the headmaster steps up and says here are your winnings. The mage of the group setting forward saying "Well seeing as that was not much of a challenge I think we will take these couple of babbles and you can keep the rest to make it tougher for me next year." Not only making a name for himself and the group but making the Headmaster embarrassed. Then you can create tension between then. Warmly shaking his hand and congratulating the upcoming mage but between a fake smile whispering something about how I am watching you or you made a big mistake my young player.

![]() I was wondering if anyone was planing on running the Breaching Festival? I have a player who will want to do alot with the academy, has their sights on becoming the headmaster, which is fine by me.The rest of the party I think will really enjoy trying out the festival. Anyone have any sugestions on what to use and how it would be traped or protected? ![]()
![]() I have a quick question about the Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscription. I have purchased Pathfinder #7, 8 & 9. I want to go ahead and subscribe if I do will my subscription start with issue #10? I also wish to order some several other items and was wondering when one starts receiving there discount? Sorry if this has been answered before. ![]()
![]() I do agree with you that the tone should be toned down (sorry for the pun). I love Paizo and almost everything they come out with. Heck 90% of the stuff our group uses comes from them. Half our group even has helped them out at Origins and other places. I also like that they want to change the 3.5 and try and fix it. I can say I really hope they do well in everything they do.

![]() How do the levels in 4th edition compare to 3.5? I wish to redo some of the adventures that we have that are 3.5. Yes I realize that I will have to completely redo encounters but I would like to try to keep them with in bounds of each other. If the 3.5 adventure would take you to 15 or 20th level in 3.5 what level power wise would that equal to in 4th edition. ![]()
![]() I posted this in the Curse of the Crimson Throne message board but I did not know if I should post it here or there. So I am posting it in both places. I apologize if this is something that I should not do but onto the reason for my post.

![]() I was wondering if anyone has started converting anything of this great adventure over into the new 4th Edition rules. I will be running this adventure and plan on converting it over. If anyone does have some of it done and would like to share please feel free to email me. If anyone else would like to help again feel free to email me. I will gladly share anything that I have. ![]()
![]() Thanks guys. I thought my mah was off but I didnt know it was off that bad lol. I will keep looking in to it I hope to make it though. We have several places we play so we have plenty of room. It looks also like I could just build pices at a time or talk with my DM and see if there are just some places that have nothing in them. ![]()
![]() I was at Gen Con talking to the authors and even Eddie Munster sorry I really can not remember his name. They had me so excited about this movie it was suppose to be the greatest thing ever made. I found it at a local store I bought for my friend and me. I was so excited the books were the first introduction to D&D I had ever had. They are what got me to play it. I a grown man nearly cried after seeing this movie. To keep it short and clean all I can say is I returned my copy to the store and I had to bite the bullet on the other one. It will never be watched in my house again. ![]()
![]() Our group was lucky enough to have played with the scale built model of Dragotha’s lair. It made quite an impression on us. Well now I play on making several scale models for our group starting with Divided's Ire. My question is does anyone have any good websites they know of for supplies or any books that can help me out with the model building? Also looking and counting the squares for Divided's Ire it looks like that thing is going to be 8 foot by 5 ½ feet is that right?
