Good solutions, thanks !

Is it possible to exorcise the Dybbuk in some way other than the "Cast Out" feat (only available for Exorcist Dedication)?

I mean, with a regular Failure vs the posession, the PC can attempt a new Will Save at the start of each turn the Dybukk wants to possess him. But... how can you exorcise the creature after a Critical Failure?

It is possible to ressurect (ritual) a character whose soul has been slaved by a Kalavakus?

"The demon enslaves the soul of a living creature within 60 feet. The target can attempt to resist this enslavement with a DC XX Will save. (...) If a slaver demon kills a creature whose soul it has enslaved, the demon regains 20 HP and the soul is consigned to an eternity of toil in the Abyss, adding to the slaver demon’s tally of souls and allowing the demon to enslave another."

1) I mean... that soul is automatically send to Abyss, without waiting for Pharasma's judgment? And it's possible or impossible to resurrect...?

2) You can Resurrect that soul but when the character dies again, their soul it's still consigned to Abyss? How can you break that slavery? through wish spell , maybe?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english u^_^

Hi everyone. One of my players, a level 11 sarenite cloistered cleric, she wants to resurrect a mutilated NPC. She knows the Resurrect ritual, but at their level she cannot cast the Heightened 7th version who grants the creation of a new body.

At base level, Resurrect "requires the target’s body to be present and **relatively intact**". The NPC was mutilated by a devil, who "deattach" the arms and legs as a torture, and finally he kills the NPC. Now, the NPC is a dead corpse without arms and limbs, but their head and organs are intact.

It is possible to resurrect that NPC with a basic 5-6th level of the ritual? My opinion is yes, but unfortunately the resurrected NPC cannot reattach the mutilated limbs (an imaginative solution: cast augmented spell "gentle repose" to limbs and, in the future, cast Regenerate spell to reattach the mutilated limbs).

Opinions?

The ability to have a target be flat-footed if you Strike right after teleporting would be a perfectly reasonable ability to build an NPC with, though.
Yes. I might have it paired with a skill check of some sort as part of the teleport action. Create a Diversion or Stealth probably.

I will take this, seems pretty reasonable. I'll request some Perception to my players, vs NPC Deception DC . Simple and good, thanks.

My Fighter NPC has a Cape of Mountebank and she can expend 2 actions to activate the effect: dimension door. Can she teleport herself at back of some PC like wizard or cleric (she can see that space) and attack with her last action, ok? My question is... is the PC flat-footed to my NPC with that "surprise attack"?

If a PC or NPC perform a Reincarnate ritual and fails (not critically fails)... is possible to repeat one more time? (matching again the requisites and cost) or it's a only-1-opportunity ritual?

thanks in advance

Hi everyone.

What is the cost of a ritual as a NPC service? We have a Spellcasting Services in the CRB but Rituals are not exactly Spells. A ritual need more time and more than one person to perform it, and different skills... So, a Ritual must be more expensive than a Spellcasting Services, right?

For example, the 10 lvl PCs needs to Resurrect one of them. This is a 5th level Ritual. 1 day casting, 750 gp "normal cost". What will be the final price if they need an NPC (or 2-3 NPCs) to perform the ritual? It's a "earn income" price based, a Spellcasting Service price based... another solution?

Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone.

My team has a formula for upgrade Sturdy Shield from Minor (lvl 4,100 gp) to Lesser (lvl 7, 360 gp) but no time for Crafting (they need to craft some others items and do some adventure tasks).

They know a "wizard merchant" in the area. Can this wizard help with this crafting? I assume yes, why not? But, what is the cost?

If I read Earn Income table, I presume the cost is:
Lvl 7 task, expert: 2,5 gp/day. Crafting task = 4 days. So... 10 gp, right?
An addition, half price from materials. The difference from minor to lesser is 260 gp... half price = 130 gp.
Final price = 10 (earn income) + 130 (materials) = 140 gp.

Another option is consulting Spellcasting Services. In that case, lvl 7 item is aprox a level 4 spell, so 40 gp + 25% for extra time = 50 gp. Plus materials = 130 + 50 = 180 gp.

What do you think? If you have a better option o suggest, be my guest :) And sorry, my english is not very good ^__^U

Thanks!

"From outside, the area looks like a bank of impenetrable black fog"

1) But... what about "from inside"? Characters or NPCs INSIDE the area CAN see and hear the exterior normally?

2) all 100-foot area is "impenetrable black fog"? I mean, it's like a... Darkness? just for enemies? for everyone, including spellcaster and allies? or when you cross through the "barrier" of the area, you are inside and you can see and hear normally this area?

very confusing spell to me :_)

Can a wizard use Counterspell against spells of another traditions/lists?

Example: My wizard has prepared a level 3 arcane Fireball, and I see a cleric (or a trap) casting a DIVINE level 3 Fireball. Can I counteract that spell? As a different list or tradition, a divine Fireball is the SAME spell that a arcane Fireball?

Thanks and sorry for my poor english ;)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Excellent work and updates, fantastic!

One of my PCs is invisible, and he wants to Disarm a target. Ok, Athletics check VS Reflex DC... but, in that case, with my PC unnoticed and the enemy flat-footed, we can apply some bonus or penalty to this action? It seems reasonable to apply the -2 AC to the Reflex DC, but i think its a minor penalty. For example, do you increase one degree of succes by one step at first atempt while invisible?

Thanks for advance and sorry for my poor english!
