Playing to the Age of Worms we have a high level archer that has this bow:
Shocking Flaming Undead Bane Holy +1 longbow.
In his hands this weapon makes him the deadliest foe because of it's high damage rate.
Another of my players proposed a house rule that reduces the appearance of this kind of weapon.
To buy an special ability for your weapon yo need to have an enhancment bonus equal to the bonus price of the abilities.
So, if you want to have a Holy weapon it has to be at least a +2 weapon.
or if you want a Holy Flaming weapon it has to be at least a +3 weapon.
Can a Paladin smite more than one foe in the same combat?
Reading, new Pathfinder Paladin i've come up to the conclusion that he only needs Charisma ability and can ignore the rest of its abilities.
Charisma adds to Saves, so he can ignore Dex, Con and Wis for increase them.
Charisma is used for spells now, so he has no need of Wisdom.
When Smiting comes the better part.
Char add to AC and attacks. So he can ignore Dex and Str and still be rather competent.
So, it feels a bit like 3.5 Druid using Beast shape in means of ignoring stats.
Adding it to his healing capabilities a Paladin is rather powerfull, mainly against solo evil enemies.
Reading the threads about enervation and energy drain make me wonder about this issue.
Hi. I've purchased a bunch of this cards, and I'm going to use them in my campaign.
My fear is to waste them up if I give them for every item in the adventure (including NPC equipment).
How do you usually use them?
Do you give an item for every magic item?
Only for significant treasures?
Only for items equipped by PCs?

I've recently purchased a Flip-Mat. I've ordered to ship it with my pathfinder subscription.
This has increased my shipment pacekts from two to three, so I don't save no money from the shipment.
Is this ok? What's the reason to ship the Flip-Mat in another packet?
If you can. I'd prefer two packets instead of three.

What's the point of this talent? It overlaps with Combat Trick talent.
With both you can get Finesse Feat.
Reading the skills chapter i've come to this rule.
For me it seems a bit weird. Now tumbling against a Dragon or a Giant is more difficult due to the Size modifier and the Strength modifier.
Hi. I've received my Shipment advise but i've notice it only includes the RPG manual. Is this OK? I thought you will send all my order in only one shipment. If its OK. When will you send me the next part? I wan't to see my PDFs of Bastard of Erebus, Everflame, and Qadira as soon as possible.
I'm also worried about shipping and handling. Will this change make my shipment more expensive?

This month has 3 pathfinder chronicles books! Seems that this month will be too loaded.
Last game my PCs managed to kill easily Mak'ar in the Spire of Long Shadows.
The wizard casted on her pseudodragon familiar 'Piticli' an antimagic field. This trick made the spellweaver lich to worry more about avoiding the familiar than in using his attack spells. Only a Wall of Force stopped it till the wizard casted disintegrate over the Wall.
I'm thinking on how to counter this tactic. Any idea? It seems a good trick for evil wizard only encounter.
Remove Disease needs now to roll a caster level check against the save DC of the disease.
Heal check can easily make the diseased save better than the spell (Heal rank + WIS + 3 if class-skill) so is by far more usefull than the spell.
I think that the spell should be at least as usefull as the spell.
I've been reading Beta handbook and I've seen that some core rules aren't well explained or are assumed.
I think this happens because we all are adepts in 3.5 and don't realize this tiny details.
Some that i've seen are:
1) Table 4-1 has no text that explain the meaning of ability scores column. I think there should be some text to tell this means increase in +1 one ability score.
2) There is no rule about take 10 and take 20, but the Beta assumes that PC use the "take" rules.
I'll try to repeat this comment in the proper Design threads in the future. But I think it's usefull that all of us (playtesters and developers) look carefully to those rules that we all already know, but MUST be in the book for those that don't
Yesterday. We played the combat against Nualia.
Has somebody playtested this Channeling with an full leveled cleric? I believe thay if Nualia where Cleric 5, she would kill the entire party without problem.
If a party has another cleric to counter this channeling perhaps there is no problem. But, what happens if they don't?

I have some questions about the first encounter in the Ceremony.
-- Who has casted polymorph spell to the Glabrezu? This doesn't really matters too much. But Glabrezu can't
-- What should happen if somebody in the Inauguration casts or uses Detect Evil?
¿Has anyone made a high-level playtest?
The new version of Remove Desease (since release 2) makes the caster to roll against desease DC using caster level.
You can help another to pass the desease DC with you Heal skill, this has some advantages:
Heal skill maxed is Level+ Will bonus + 3,
and you can take 10 in the check.
So, now this spell seems a bit underpowered. One possible solution could be to give the caster the option to make a Heal check instead of caster level check.
I can't see how this desease can be a problem in a big city.
Any NPC with 4 ranks in Heal skill and a Healer's kit can help anyone to overcome the Save DC by taking 10 in his Heal check.
This takes 10 minutes. So, in 8 hours he can help 48 people to make this save.
In two day all this people can be saved.
How many experts of level 1 with Heal class skill are in the city?
I think I'm missing something, but it seems there's no need magical healing for this desease.
Looking to Heal skill and Remove Desease spell, now the best way to cure a desease is without the spell and using Heal checks. It takes a longer time (multiple saves) but it is far more efficient.
- You can have (maximizing) a Heal bonus of: level + wis bonus + 3 (if class skill)
- You can take 10.
With the spell.
- You have only your level against the save DC
- You can't take 10
Reading this spell, now it only remove magic object powers during a few minutes. But it still can break artifacts. This is a bit weird. isn't it?
I like the fact that this spell has duration, but 1 minute/level seems a bit low.
In PF-5: The sins of the saviors
I consider that durations should be dayily:
--day/wizard level or day/X wizard level.
--like a curse or disease. Save per day mechanic perhaps.
This Racial trait gives an interesting changes to human's classes.
I'd like to know which weapon has been selected in your playtest.
Has anybody a human wizard with a broadsword?
In our pbp playtest one of the players has selected a ranseur as his human weapon.
I other concern, i'd like to ask. What weapon will you choose for Ezren? His crane seems useless now...
Perhaps the wizard is the most affected. But I'd like to know which combinations have been selected in another classes.
I'm going to begin a Pbp playtest. I intend to wait Release 2, but it could help us if we know which classes will be added in next Relase.

Ok. When is scheduled the shipment of Pathfinder 8?
I'd like to give a new formula to calculate skill points for trained skills:
3 + (class level with class skill) + (class levels with cross-class skill/2) + ability modifier + racial modifier.
Example:
rogue 1 / wizard 3 / ranger 2 / warrior 5:
Stealth (trained): 3 + 3 (rogue + ranger) + 8/2 (warrior + wizard) = 7
I other systems:
Alfa document
Stealth (trained): 3 + 11 = 14
What do you think?
This can make rogues more skillmonkey than previous system, and this method doesn't need bookkeeping.
I've seen some problems in my new subscriptions.
First: In my Pathfinder Modules, Pathfinder Chronicles and Pathfinder Companion subscriptions I don't see the 15% discount for being Pathfinder sbuscriber.
Second: The next issue after Guide to Korvosa is not Harrow Deck in my Subscriptons page.

We've seen an alpha version PDf but I think it could be a good idea to develope an SRD using old one and modifying it with the new rules. This could make testing easier. Perhaps one fan made? wiki? online based en pen, paper & pixel one?

As I said in previous threads. As far as Paizo remain publishing quality stuff I'll support them. No matter which system they use.

First of all I'll apologize in advance for my bad english.
For me Paizo is the RPG publisher that is making the best products today.
I'm seeing things of 4E that I like and other that I don't like. I'm not here to argue if one edition is better than another.
I don't believe that Paizo's quality depends on which system they use.
So, I will support Paizo as far as they continue producing high quality adventures and supplements. I don't care if they are in 4E or 3.x or in other system.
I strongly believe that they will make their choice looking to all the facts: Company covinience, customer opinion, quality requierements, and so on. I hope they make such choice that allow me to keep buying their outstanding products for a long, long time.
I understand also to all these 4E edition lovers and haters that want Paizo to decide for their selected system because they also know that this system will have the best products. I only hope that this "edition war" don't force my favourite company to take a wrong decision.
They must look carefully to the new GSL, the new system, the state of the market and take the choice that allow them to carry on with the best RPG products ever.

One of my players has proposed me a way to use the owlbear in the land farm as an animal companion.
He has proposed to use a chain of statistics of legal animal companions:
badger->black bear -> brown bear -> polar bear -> dire bear

Hi. I've been reading the section of tactics of Dragotha and it states that he uses plane shift to escape if he is below 100 HP. Looking in Dragotha statistics I didn't see that spell in his spell list, spell-like abilites nor in his magic items.
How can he plane shift? or is this a mistakes and should say greater teleport?

I'm worried about our Goliat wizard entering the water with his spellbook. How would you manage this situation?.
They haven't arrived yet to Laborer's section, but I'm anticipating this situation.
My party played last friday their first Age of Worms game.
They've acted in the False Tomb as if they were the order of the stick....
They were a goliat wizard, a cleric o st. Cuthbert, a rogue and a fighter.
The wizard suggested them to move the tomb, so they released the first elevator. The rogue and the warrior went down, and when it was the turn of the wizard to enter, he propossed to the cleric to move again the tomb. Then they tried to undo, but the other elevator broke. Before the beetles and the slasher arrived they managed to move the tomb till they raised the trap elevator. Then arrived the monsters, so the wizard entered the elevator (ignoring the crushed bones). Luckily he suffered few damage.
Seeing they couldn't win the battle they retired.
They needed two days to beat the monsters!!! So the other began starvating. When the others were released the wanted to kill them.
But we stopped the session there.
