Seeing that Lueck comes to no harm and no alarm is raised Hana moves down the corridor and looks over the brazier, statue and the line on the wall.

With that Hana hopes that one of the guys will take the initiative and start working their way down the hall, she just looks and listens.

"Good point Kára. I've still got about half my prepared spells left and can channel a few more times this day, but a quick rest might do us good. Judging from the way that passage was blocked up I'd think it safe to assume that these goblins were isolated from the rest of these tunnels so, unless the noise attracted something, we should be safe there for a while."

Knowledge Religion on Cai's statement for a circumstance bonus on sense motive ;P: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Something about Cai's statement doesn't sit right with Hana, it doesn't fit into anything she'd read or been tought. But still, she didn't know everything, after all, that was why she was on her journey, to learn..

Sense Motive with +2 circumstance DC 16: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 = 25

..but that was just outright bull.

Feeling slightly irked and arching an eyebrow at Lueck's and Lyr's reaction Hana looks from party member to party member, pondering what dynamics were going on here, was she missing something or had Cai just blatantly lied and been allowed to get away with it?

Deciding to let things lie, but also to watch Cai more carefully, Hana goes along with Cai down the corridor.

"One of you guys want to make your way down that corridor with those poles you keep handy?" she asks Lueck and Erich.

'And besides, what kind of necromancer goes around fully armed and armored!?"

Unable to let things lie completely she leans in to Cai and whispers a few words to him. "Vampires suck blood, not souls."

Woops. Those are calculations for hour/level. Duration for magic weapon should be 29 rounds left and for protection from evil 25 rounds. Thanks for the catch :)

Btw, Grimmy. Would Hana have any clue as to how to destroy the bat statue?

Hana stands over the dead hobgoblin and blinks a couple of times and frowns. "We might have found the origin of vampires here." she says gravely. "The bat-statues blessing seems to have made this hobgoblin a form of a primitive vampire."

Looking over to Cai and Kára Hana snaps out of her reverie of possible implications and hurries over to her fallen sister, chanting, she infuses her hand with a golden glow and touches Kára. "Cure Moderate Wounds."

Converting Bull's strength to cure moderate wounds on Kára: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 5) + 3 = 12

"Is anyone elese hurt?" she asks, looking around at the party.

Feeling Cai's inspiring words fill her bones with hopeful energy Hana strides forward with her sword held high in a two handed grip, coming up to the monster and bringing it down in a heavy arc, aimed at it's head.

Round 6

"Aaagh!" Hana lets out as the monster slices at her, a near miss. Grabbing her sword in both hands she assess the monster and remembering Cai's advice earlier she steps back and, raising her sword, calls down Freyas blessing onto the blade, granting it temporary magics.

"Magic Weapon!" she calls out, earning a brief flash from the blade that leaves it glowing with a soft, yellow light.

5' step and cast magic weapon.
Btw. Hana's AC is 19 against Batty.

Taken completely off guard by the fluidity of the combat Hana's swing at the god-goblin goes wild, raising her symbol again she tries to summon the concentration to cast a spell to bolster her allies but seeing Kára cut down so mercilessly momentarily brakes her concentration and the spell fizzles.

Staring after the everyone as they plunge into the foul smelling cloud Hana gulps as she finds herself the last one remaining at this side of it. Gritting her teeth the mumbles a 'Fine' and, holding her breath, plunges in after them.

Stumbling on through with tears in her eyes from the foul cloud Hana finds herself on the other side, gulping for air, facing the golbin-bat-thing with her sword in hand.

"Guys? You ok in there?" Hana steps forward and calls for Lueck and Erich at the sound of the wall coming rumbling down, concern evident in her voice.

Raising her glowing holy symbol high she channels her concern into it and sends out a burst of healing light.

Biting back a curse as the bat swarm swarms over her Hana decides to take up the better part of valor and retreat from the swarm.

Stepping into the chamber again she rummages in her backpack and draws out a torch, maybe fire would keep them at bay?

Round 1

Standing rady to strike the bat-goblin-demon-thingy down with her sword Hana is caught completely unaware as it suddenly turns into purple flame. "Foul monster! Are you a demon or a ghost!? No matter, Freya will protect me!"

Raising her holy symbol for the demon to see Hana calls on the power of Freya to guard her against evil.

Casting Protection from Evil on myself. AC ups to 19 and I get +2 on saves vs. effects from evil creatures and if the bat swarm is evil aligned then it can't touch me.

"Yikes! How'd that thing get in here?" Hana calls out in shock as the bat thing falls from the ceiling and drops her bow and draws her sword as she suddenly finds herself in melee.

Hana follows after Lueck and the gang in to the secret entrance. "Fish canon? That explains the noise... and the smell." she remarks, glancing at Cairen.

Hana inspects the archway as she draws near it. Also to add to Erich's question; How is the masonry in this hall? The same as the 'church' or different?

Peering into the opening hesitantly with her bow ready if something jumps out at her she glances at Lueck, "Great job! Do you think this will lead us to the hobgoblin leader? Probably not though, he'd have had to close the door behind him and I'm sure he didn't have time to shore up the bricks on this one."

"Oh, hi Erich. I'm Hana." Hana smiles at boy coming out of the shadows. 'Another elf? Wow! These folk are facinating.' Nodding to each as Erich makes the introductions she arches an eyebrow skeptically at Abraxes, a ghost? Really?

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 <-Yup, really.

Looking back to the necromancer as he inspects the statue she finds she has newfound respect for him, a communer of spirits, he must be powerful indeed if ghost are so friendly and willing to help him.

"Yeah, I thought the trees were starting to look funny, all dark and droopy. Not like back home, not at all." she says seriously.

"So you're working for the druids? I would be honored to help if I may. My background is humble but my will is strong to do right in this world and onto the next, I will help with this cleansing."

Having picked up her gear Hana moves over to inspect the statue.

"Maybe we should take away the offerings, break the knife and smash the statue." she offers by way of advise.

Leaning in she looks at the statues eyes, wondering if they might be what the group sought. Maybe it could be plucked out and crushed under boot?

Glancing at the exit Hana raises her holy symbol and casts a light spell on it, producing illumination of her own. Looking around she sees her stuff in the corner and hastily grabs up her gear.

"So, what brings you here? Are you clearing out the goblins? Do you need any help? By Freya, I would love to aid you such a worthy endevour." she ventures, not to keen on making an exit and curious as to what the group is doing here.

"I know, right?" Hana says and shares the laugh with Kára.

Gasping at Kára's admition to also being a cleric of Freya Hana can barely contain her glee and gives Kára a quick hug. "Really? Oh that's great! I never thought to find a sister of faith in these parts.." she trails off and frowns. "Where are we anyway? I got lost and wandered for a whole day (or more) before I fell into the goblins trap."

"No, I have no idea of their numbers. Yours is the only light I have seen down here. I have no idea of their number or purpose, though I suppose this is where they make their home and I can only guess that that statue is something of a representation of their god." she say more seriously, shaking her head at the question.

Working her jaw and tongue as the gag is removed Hana frowns and clears her throat before turning to spit at the wall.

"Gah.. The taste! I'm not sure these goblins have grasped the concept of running water, can you imagine what manners of illnesses can be spread through this filth!" she mumbles on as Kára unties her.

"Thank you, and no. I'm not injured" she replies as she stands up, flinching she touches her head gingerly. "Well, not really anyway. Just a bump on the head." Giving Kára a hesitant smile she glances at her face before looking down at her feat and clearing her throat, looking back up her face is a mask of stern.

"Thank you again, kind traveler, for coming to my aid. I am uncertain of my fate had you not arrived when you did and for that I am most grateful. I am Hana Rokvar, cleric of Freya, I am walking the lands to spread my goddesses word and strengthen my bond with her so I can be worthy to be accepted into the ranks of Valkyre. These creature caught me by surprise, had they been so underhanded in their tactics I would never have allowed things to progress this far." she says in a voice you could swear had dropped an octane, formal and full of bravado.

Maintaining her gaze with Kára eventually proves to difficult and her eyes flutter away from hers, shifting her feat hesitantly she points at Kára's holy symbol hanging from her waist. "So, eh.. You worship Freya?" her voice sounds almost hopeful. "Look, I've got one just like it." raising her left hand a wooden holy symbol of Freya is seen hanging from a leather cord tied around Hana's left wrist.

Receiving the attentions of the black clad, white skinned elf (was he wearing make up?) Hana is certain that he is going to untie her and sags a little with relief but when he turns her back to her and starts talking to his.. sister? she can only blink in disbelief as he focuses his attentions on the grizzly bat statue.

Turning her attention to the Freyanite she raises her eyebrows hopefully.

The bound girl goes tense and wide eyed as Kára walks in, her otherworldly grace and beauty making her forget the time and place for a moment, then seeing the symbol hanging from her waist her eyes narrow and she tilts her head, adopting a look of bewilderment. At her mention of untying her her eyes go wide again and she starts nodding vigorously.

"Mph, Mph! Mmhphm mm!"

Hearing the goblin gurgle and it's grip slacken Hana blinks a few times, wide eyed and slack jawed. Taking in the sight of the heroes come to rescue her she feels a wave of relief wash over her and she slumps down from a sitting position to a sitting one. Rolling her eyes she mutters a brief prayer to Freya which comes out as ; "Mmph Mphrmph!"

Tensing back up she locks her gaze on the elven bowman and says sternly, "Merphmph mm!
