Round 2

Biting back a curse as the bat swarm swarms over her Hana decides to take up the better part of valor and retreat from the swarm.

Stepping into the chamber again she rummages in her backpack and draws out a torch, maybe fire would keep them at bay?

Move 20' into the chamber and draw torch.

Lueck calls out "Would one of those smelly arrows chase off the bats?!?"

Lueck's dagger slices harmlessly through purple smoke as the insubstantial creature filters out of the hall, replaced by swarming bats.

Round 2

Cairenn frowns at Lueck's cry, not knowing the answer to that himself. "....I suppose it's worth a shot, but Kara and Hana, get clear before I loose the shot!"

I think based on her text that Hana moved, but on the map she shows as still in the swarm to me.

Cairenn draws one of the strange arrows they found, nocks it to his bow, and readies to shoot into the swarm as soon as his friends are clear.

Readying shot to fire at the wall, basically right where Hana's token currently is, so that the arrow hits the wall and billows out its smoke hopefully into the swarm... AC 5 to target a square

Erich looks up in time to see Cairenn aiming one of the muck arrows at the swarm. He gulps. "Oh, man, I don't want to get caught in that!" He quickly takes a step back, moving into the corner beside Leuck. He raises his daggers defensively, keeping a cautious eye on the swarm.

Erich is taking a free five-foot step back, and readying an action to attack the swarm if it approaches him. He is also switching to fighting defensively for this round (-4 to attacks, +2 dodge bonus to AC). His AC is 21 for this round.

With Erich there to watch his back, Lueck sheathes his dagger and starts to look for the right trigger stone to open the secret door he believes is behind him.

Round 2

"I really hope that disgusting smoke plays well with fire," Lyr murmurs, but she's halfway through a quiet chant in a mysterious and melodic language before receiving an answer. Action before thought, as usual, from the druidess...

"Gwirodydd acw o dân a fflamau, glywed dy alwad, clywed dy enw! Asteraythem! Dewch nawr!"

Lyrasael flings her right hand out, palm flattened and fingers slightly curved. Springing to life just above the curvature of her hand is a tiny fey-like being no bigger than a baby chick, its form effervescent and vague and its body made up of smouldering embers. It glides sightlessly away from its summoner on autumn leaf-coloured wings, disappearing into the putrid cloud, though Lueck and Erich may spy an enormous globe of fire suddenly explode into existence right in the midst of the mess.

Casting flaming sphere on the area where I last saw the bat swarm.

Fire Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5) = 13 +50% damage from an area effect makes this 19 damage.

Round 3

"I can't see a damned thing," Cairenn mutters as he tries to peer through the cloud of smoke his own arrow shot resulted in. He is, perhaps, slightly peeved that it was his half-sister's spell that apparently conflagrated the bat swarm, and not his own charms and magics.

"The rose smells sweet before it rots--
"And foul mist may yet hide pure souls
"And when the cloud of darkness parts
"They shall achieve their brave goals!"

Personally, he thinks that one's a bit rubbish, but sometimes it's the best you can do. He squints into the mist, keeping an arrow at full tension on his bow.

Round 3

"Me either," Lyr agrees, shooting a sidewards glare at her little brother and rolling her eyes.

"Erich! Lueck! Where is that dratted thing?" The elf raises her voice, shouting out over Cairenn's poetry (rather rudely so indeed). "Let me know and I'll push the fireball in its direction!"

"... but, uh, you might want to get out of the way first!"

Ready action: move the flaming sphere should I be given directions. :P

Fire Damage, if it comes into play: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6) = 11

In a clumsy, amateurish move, Lueck lunges forward to try and get away from the acrid stench filling his lunges and stinging his eyes. He barely sees the hobgoblin as he lurches forward into (and hopefully past) him.

Acrobatics to move to through hobgoblin's square without AoO. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14, DC 5+hobby's CMD. He ends up in the square just below the hobgoblin. I moved him on the map, but it made his icon disappear!

Coughing and gagging, Lueck tries to answer Lyr. "Here!" he manages to get out, but the rest of the directions disappear in a fit of retching.

He still has his dagger out, so I think he is still considering flanking, even though he can't attack right now.

Round 4

Last round of flaming sphere, so I removed the circle.

Seeing Cai dash into the smoke, Lyr grits her teeth and follows suit, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air (well, "fresh"; it still had the faintest taste of hobgoblin sweat to it, and she was hardly one for the smell of the underground--but it was better than that putrid cloud!) before trying to dash her way through.

Double move.

Lyr's Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Round 4:

The narrow hall quickly fills with Erich's companions. He catches his breath, nods to Cairenn and Lyrasael as they arrive. "Ugh. Can we just break that last muck arrow? I don't want to use those any more..."

Having recovered from the stench (Although I'm sure I'll never be able to eat fish again, he thinks), Erich slips around behind the possessed hobgoblin, flipping his daggers into a backhanded grip as he does. He glances past the hobgoblin to Leuck on the other side, and catches his eye.

While Leuck distracts the hobgoblin, Erich lunges in, plunging his daggers into the hobgoblin's vulnerable midsection.

Erich will use a five-foot step to take a flanking position behind the hobgoblin, across from Leuck. He will then launch into his patented Deadly Double Dagger maneuver:

As Lueck regains control of his gag reflex, he sees Erich's blades flashing at the hobgoblin with remarkable skill. Hey! Erich's striking when the goblin's glancing at me! Trying to further draw the hobgoblin's attention, Lueck launches into a flurry of garish strikes, none of which seem to land effectively. I hope that gives Erich another opening!

AoO Dagger: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
AoO Dagger Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

In this round, Erich will be moving five-feet to flank the hobgoblin across from Hana. Since the stairs are there, and are difficult terrain, he will have to make an acrobatics check to avoid an attack of opportunity:
Acrobatics -Armor Check vs. DC15: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 8 - 2 = 7
Erich provokes an attack.

Assuming he makes it into position, he will make a single attack at the hobgoblin:
Dagger Attack +Flanking: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 = 26
Dagger Damage +Sneaky Shin Attack: 1d4 + 1 + 1d8 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (4) = 8
