Xarmas swings her newly enlarged quarterstaff in a sweeping motion, arcing across the heads of the goblins in front of her. She roars, and her newly enlarged form, still only barely ten feet tall, quivers with her fury. "Come, Brother Karmid, and let us fell our foes, and see them crushed beneath us!" 'I could really get used to being big, for once in my life...' She ponders inwardly.
Xarmas runs forward, schreeching a battle cry, and swings her quarterstaff at the first goblin.
Xarmas runs outside, expecting to meet resistance as the group escorts Ameiko outside. Finding none, she shouts back inside, "Hurry and bring her out! The way is clear if you run!" She glances around, and drops into a defensive stance, eyes scanning for more goblins.
Xarmas reverses her grip on her quarterstaff, and swings it like a club in a whirling attack at the goblin's head.
"Confounded goblins! Just die already!" The look of rage and frustration on her face is apparent, and likely the reason her attacks are losing their accuracy.
Xarmas swings her quarterstaff a the goblin in front of her, trying to crush his skull with her swing.
"Blasted creatures!" Her eyes are wild, and she looks a little caught up in the wild of battle.
Xarmas moves quickly to one of the nearest goblins, and swings her quarterstaff at his head.
Xarmas focuses inward for just but a moment, and her pupils grow wide and glassy. She runs into the building, following her companions closely. When she sees the melee, she runs in, ready for battle.
We (and this game) can wait as long as you need. Family always comes first!
Xarmas moves immediately behind Karimd, and gently places her hand on his back., and gently whispers. "Let's get in there. Strike hard; strike fast."
Xarmas sighs, and shakes her head. She glowers at the yelling man, and steels herself for the upcoming action.
Xarmas drops into a crouch, and waits, watching.

Xarmas sets Lia down gently, and moves help Karmid. She leans on the edge of the door, holding it extra taut so Karmid's blows may do more damage. 'Not that the door swinging open will be what gives us away, what with that hammer swinging away!'
Xarmas turns her back to the group, keeping an eye on both the rear of the group, and on the stumbling Lia. She growls, and then moves to help Lia stand. "I got you. Wait here if you are dizzy...Karmid and I are going to be...aggressive for the next few minutes."
Xarmas narrows her eyes, and they turn gold, taking on a bird-like quality. "Sure thing Karmid. I sincerely hope we are overreacting here. But this Tsuto does seem like trouble. Maybe we're just being overprotective of our favorite bartender?"
"Ah, I see. Well, that casts a bit of truth to the letter, as it seems there is no love lost there." She turns to Flutter. "Oh...I suppose I hadn't considered the implications that Ameiko would have known the handwriting. That's good enough for me." She begins tightening the straps on her shoulder bag, the same backpack she never left the Temple without.
Xarmas scowls at the letter's contents. "I agree we should hurry, but it would be prudent to send someone to mention casually to the Sherriff that the city should be further on guard." She ponders for a moment, and then looks at Talene. "I don't suppose you can verify if this is Tsuto's handwriting, can you?"
Xarmas agrees to go on patrol with Karmid, finding a kinship with the large man. As they walk, she tries to make casual conversation, but it is apparent that social niceties are not her strong suit. Eventually she falls into a comfortable silence, and uses her God-Given gifts to help Karmid in his quest to find weak spots. She's specifically looking for a secret way that may not be accessible to humans, but rather something smaller. Something that someone a goblin's size could make use of.
Xarmas had been quietly listening to all of what Shalelu had to say. She'd had her arms crossed across her chest, but once Karmid spoke up, she pushed herself off the wall, and uncrossed her arms. "I agree with Karmid. I'd rather be out there, doing the good works I'm best at, but for some reason the Lord of Cities has chosen me to stick around here. Maybe this is why? I'm in to stay and defend, or to take the fight to the goblins." With that said, she nods to Karmid, and moves to stand with him.
Xarmas watches Lonjiku leave, visibly trying to calm herself down. SHe's far too riled up to really notice how anyone else is reacting. She storms over to the side of the Rusty Dragon, and sulks. 'Gods, I would kill to be drunk right now...'
Xarmas slowly, deliberately, moves around the man, on his right. Her hands are open in front of her non-threateningly, but the violence in her eyes belies her intent.
Xarmas stays quiet, silently fuming. Although if she grips her glass any harder, it will likely shatter. 'Just one more word, just say ONE more word...' She scowls.
Xarmas, having arrived late, is standing at the end of the line. She kept letting people go in front of her, until she stood at the end of the line. Thankfully, she does know patience, regardless of whether she practices it. She hears her friends chatting, and smiles. She finally has found a place she can settle in...at least for a while. Her wanderlust will likely take upon her again, but at least for now she is content. As Karmid walks up to her, his loud voice inturrpts her musings. "Hello, Mighty Karmid! Strong of Arm, Strong of Smell! Loud with Boasting, and even Louder with Clothing Choice!" She chuckles at her joke, and gives him a welcoming smile. "Coming back for thirds already?"
Xarmas disappears for most of an hour, to keep up her exercise regimen. She sharpens her various knives, and says her midday prayers. Lastly, she changes into clean clothing, and then sets back out in pursuit of her friends.
Xarmas smiled a rueful smile at Ro. "I'm just glad we were here to help. Karmid, thankfully, isn't all talk. Us girls need to stick together, yeah?" She begins cleaning her quarterstaff, and checking the woods for cracks. She sings softly to herself, after removing her outer layer of clothing. She slowly pours some water over her clothing, and gently rings the blood and water out of her clothing. He dark-skinned muscular body bears countless scars of varying sizes. Once she has cleaned her clothing, she dons the outer layer, and stands. "Well, I'm glad everyone is caught up!" She waves, with a toothy smile on her face.
Xarmas dashes through the underbrush to one of the ticks attacking Ro.
She tries to send this tick along to meet it's late friend in the Tick Afterlife, swinging her staff with all her might. "Hold on, Ro! I'll get them off of you!"
Cursing under her breath, Xarmas plants her feet, and rears back her quarterstaff. Her right hand slides down to meet her left, and wielding the staff like a club, she sets upon the tick once more. As she connects, she spins her slight frame around, and gears up for the next attack. "Gods-blasted ticks! They don't even have a purpose in nature!"
Snarl on her lips, she turns to Karmid with a sharp retort. Her eyes are glossy, and seem to have increased in size slightly. As she opens her mouth to snap at him, she pauses. And laughs at the absurdity of it all. "Alright, alright. You get a pass this time!"
Xarmas, her God-Marked senses protecting her as always, hops back a step as a Giant Tick lands in front of her. She growls, a low, feral growl. As the growl leaves her throat, her muscles flex under her clothing, and she bulks up visibly. The growl gets deeper and deeper, till it is hardly audible, but rather felt. She draws her quarterstaff, and rushes forward swinging it will all her might at one of the ticks.
"Karmid!!! Is this your idea of a joke?!?"
Xarmas, in quiet speculation, decides that the only impartial judge is a panel of judges. "Why, we get three of the God-Marked! They sit as a panel, and act as judge, so when my tiny little frame destroys you, there will be at least three witnesses!" She winks, and begins plotting.
Xarmas gives Karmid a steady look. "Karmid, out of respect for our friendship, I will tell you this once...call me "babe" again, and you too, will be a female. Am I clear?" She moves to the other boar, and hefts it easily. "I think the real challenge will be when it comes time to eat the meat. Shall we wager...say...a silver to the winner?"
Xarmas, quietly taking her measure of Karmid's animal dressing abililies, nods to herself at his apparent skill. She reaches into her bag, and shuffles around for a moment. Drawing a large dagger, she kneels down next to Karmid, and cuts a few strips in the flesh of the boar. She then uses the animal's flesh to tie it's own wound shut.
Xarmas continues to run through the brush, as fast as she can. "We're almost back, and I hear a commotion!" She leaps over a log, and continues to hustle forward.
Seeing Karmid behind her, Xarmas moves into more of a sprint. She is very fast.
Xarmas, upon realizing where the boar was headed, turned back at a quick jog. She called back over her shoulder. "We have to get back there! We can't let it surprise them!"
"Ah. Of course. Well, lead on, Great One." She gives a slight, mocking bow to Karmid, motioning him forward.
Xarmas gives the supposed Mighty Hunter a look.
"Is this some kind of test?" She points maybe twenty feet away. "Those boar droppings on a game trail might be a good place to start..." She adds dryly.
Xarmas grins. "Yes, yes it is."
Xarmas nods. "I know I don't look it, but I'm an accomplished hunter. I'm with Karmid. I vote hunt." She thinks for a moment. "Although the big guy and I may be able to lead a boar toward a trap, flushing them back here. That would work, too. Bit more dangerous, that, but that's half the fun!"
Whoops. Put that Xarmas was still on a horse, but I know we were going to leave them. My bad.
Xarmas sidles up alongside Ro, listening to Fran's plan. Believing it to be sound, she nods. "Agreed. Let's do that." She reins her horse to take her slightly back behind Fran, and grips her spear like a lance. "This is my first time hunting a boar, but with my luck, it won't be the boar's first time hunting a human..." She add dryly.
I guess I'm lucky then. My daughter loves to watch me play video games, and even when I turn a game off, she asks me to play something else. That could be due to her school making this Sesame Street (and other shows) DVDs that the kids watch as homework. Her school found a way to make Sesame Street work, so now she doesn't like it!
Xarmas chuckles at Rojava's joke. "Let's hope there isn't too much truth to that nickname!" She plays with her boar spear absent-mindedly. "Truth be told, I'm not sure we will scare anything up with all of us tromping through the underbrush. I imagine we can be heard from a league away!"
Xarmas chuckles. "Good. Should anything dangerous happen, I'll know to just stand behind you!"
"Karmid and Angela are big enough we need to worry about the boar running the other way!"
