The Adventure 7-3 reward states:

Spoiler:
Each character, at the start of each scenario, may examine the top 5 cards of their deck, then recharge any number of those cards.

Once you win this reward, does it apply to all characters a character owns? I'm not sure that's RAI but it reads that way to me RAW.

Ok so I know there are a bunch of online conventions coming up but I can't figure out which ones have PACS. I want to add them to my calendar so I don't miss any PACS awesomeness. Anyone know which ones I should look forward to? =)

Please read below for some information on how I run my tables. By getting everyone on the same page, we can make the game run a lot more smoothly :) (This was stolen from another BR cuz I thought it was good info hehe)

Some ground expectations
1. Try to post at least once every few days in order to keep things moving. If you are going to be unavailable for an extended period of time, please ensure that your deck handler is linked and available for other players, and provide instructions so that other players can bot your turn. I recommend putting the link in your alias Profile, in the Class line. Wrap it in the url tags so it turns into a link -- see "How to format your text" below the reply box for details on how to do that if you aren't sure
2. Do not wait around for my scenario update posts, just base your turn around the most recent update plus what other players have done since then. I will post scenario updates upon request or if it's been a week or so without an update. To request an update, send me a message on whichever system we choose to talk to each other with.
3. There are no take-backs or retcons, with exception of invalid plays/turns. Use resources wisely, and keep in mind the other perks you get in Organized Play such as accessory re-rolls and hero points.
4. Please decide whether you want to use Google Hangouts or Discord to communicate with.

Things that make gameplay smoother
1. If a location is shuffled, you can continue to examine or explore cards in it by rolling a die to see which card you examine/explore. No need to wait on me to post an update first with the shuffled deck.
2. When encountering a card, be very explicit in what card you are encountering. This helps other players at the same location know where you left off so they don't accidentally encounter the same cards that you just got through and have to re-do their turn.
3. Use your Notes section to describe any cards or powers that can be used to assist other players on their turns and that you are willing to use. If you post that certain cards are available for use, have the card text available somewhere for other players to reference.
4. When something impacts another player (a power that affects all characters at your location, or you're playing one of their cards), bold that thing so that it stands out.

Things that make deck upgrades smoother
1. Write a list of your 2-5 most desired deck upgrades, in order, and roll 1d1000 for each of them. If you have any conditions on the upgrade, such as "I'll take this only if nobody else wants it or if my planned card X is better than anyone else's planned card" make a note of those as well.
2. That will let us look through those lists and see how we can get everyone their #1 preferred upgrade without lots of times lost in back-and-forth. If people are fighting over an upgrade, the d1000 roll is used to determine who gets it (highest roll wins).
3. You are free to disregard this and discuss upgrades normally; but try to keep discussions to a week at most so that we can move on to the next scenario.

Hello all!

This is my gameplay thread for my 7-1 table, begun during Gameday IX.

This game will run as part of Gameday IX from September 01, 2020 through November 10, 2020. Currently I am not expecting this game to continue past the convention though if there is enough interest in continuing, we may continue after this too.

If you are have signed up to play at this game, please dot into this thread to get it listed on your Campaigns tab!

So I know these are low priority as they are kinda old at this point but I had been thinking of playing some older season stuff recently and wondered:

The scenario rewards for this allow you to choose a non-basic upgrade. As this is now obsolete, are there any plans at all to give these two scenarios a different reward? (Or do they at least award a hero point? If they do, that's probably good enough.)

Ok so I'm getting ready to run this in person next week for organized play. I noticed soemthing odd though. Typically PACS scenarios may be played in any order but Dragon's Demand (and CotCT) dictate the order in which scenarios should be played. I figured it would be addressed in the sanctioning document but I can't find it.

Do Dragon's Demand (and CotCT) scenarios have to be played in the order listed for organized play?

Hi everyone,

So I got tired of writing down my deck list on a plain sheet of paper along with my wishlist of deck list upgrades so I made a pretty template to go with my paperwork. Not sure if anyone else would like it but here it is. The top has room to list which deck(s) you are using. The Deck list section has slightly more lines than the maximum I counted on my cards. The Upgrade List is where I like to write down what cards I want to upgrade with.

So I got curious how Appendix 4 in the 6.0 PACS guide worked so I got out an old season 0 character that hasn't been converted to the tier system (due to not having played it since 2014). Here is what happened:

My character Tarlin completed 0-1A thru 0-1D and 0-1F. Tarlin had one skill feat (+1 Con) and 1 power feat (+1 hand size).

So going in order according to Appendix 4:

Spoiler:
If you completed more than one scenario, do the
following.
• Note which skill, power, and card feats you took. Then
uncheck those feats.
• Determine your tier: It matches is the # of the highest
adventure in which you have completed at least two
different scenarios. For example, if you have completed 2
different scenarios in Adventure 4, but not in Adventures
5 or 6, your character is Tier 4.
• Determine the number of experience points (XP) you
have by counting the number of different scenarios you
have completed within your tier. For example, if your
Tier 4 character has completed 2 different Adventure 4
scenarios, you have 2 XP. If you have at least 3 XP, you
may spend them all to advance to the next tier. If you
have at least 6 XP, you must spend them all to advance to
the next tier.
• If your character is Tier 4 or higher, select a role. (If your
character had already selected a role, keep that role.)
• Gain a number of skill feats, power feats, and card feats
each equal to your tier minus 1. For example, if you are
in Tier 3, gain 2 skill feats, 2 power feats, and 2 card
feats. Until you have chosen all of the feats that your
character took before, you may choose only feats that
your character took before. The first two power feats
must be chosen from your character card; additional
feats may be chosen from your role.
• If you completed more than 3 scenarios in any adventures,
get a hero point for each one beyond the third.
• If your character’s deck includes any cards of a level
higher than your tier, replace each with a card of the
same type that has a level equal to or less than your
current tier.

Notated the skill and power feat.
Determined my tier. Since this character has only completed scenarios in Adventure 1 , this character is tier 1.
Determine my xp: Since my character completed 5 adventures, it has 5xp. I can choose to advance to tier two if I wish.
Gain skill/power/card feats: Tarlin is tier 1. 1 minus 1 is zero. Therefore no skill, power, or card feats are gained.
Hero points: My character completed five scenarios so has two hero points.

So if Tarlin stays at tier 1 the character goes from 2 feats to 0 but ends up with 2 hero points (which presumably cannot be spent on feats) and 5 xp. This means I would need to complete 1 more scenario at tier 1 and five scenarios at tier 2 before advancing to tier 3 in order to catch up with my feats. This seems contrary to the example given if you have only completed 1 scenario.

Spoiler:
If you completed only one scenario, conversion is easy:
Your character is in Tier 1. If you have not already gained a
feat, you get a hero point, and you may immediately spend
it to gain a feat. You also get 1 experience point (XP). No
further changes are needed.

I think the intent here would be for Tarlin to have 1 skill, power, and card feat as well as 2 hero points at the end of conversion. Especially as if I choose to advance Tarlin to tier 2 by spending his xp he would indeed have all 3 feats and 2 hero points.

Am I missing something here?

Ok so I thought I had this figured out in a PbP game I'm in but then more weirdness about this card came up in a home game tonight so I'm very confused and hoping you all can un-confuse me.

My husband and I started playing Dragon's Demand tonight. I'm playing Skull and Shackles Lem (cuz he's almost as awesome as Lini) and my husband is playing Fumbus. We added the alchemist's deck to the set to give him even more fun cards to play with. I managed to acquire an Alchemist's Fire and ended up needing to use it on a Bandit almost immediately. I discarded my Troubadour to add my craft skill. Here is where we get confused.

The conversion guide says:

Spoiler:
If an item has a check to recharge, change its cost to “Banish” and change any recharge powers to “DURING RECOVERY (If proficient,) you may succeed at a (whatever check is required) to recharge this card.” If it was intended to be have another cost if not recharged, such as discard or bury, it should be “(Do whatever is intended to) this card; (if proficient,) you may succeed at (whatever check is required) to (do the other thing) instead.”

During my PbP earlier today I was told that the discarded card goes into recovery. Since I'm playing Damiel in that game, the Alchemist's Fire also goes into recovery and then is auto recharged thanks to Damiel's power.

Lem doesn't have any such shenanigans though so we got confused. (It wouldn't have been confusing if Fumbus had used it instead after I handed it to him next turn like we had planned but oh no, I had to explore just one more time.... Oh well.)

So with Lem, do both the Troubadour and the Alchemist's Fire still go into recovery? Does the Alchemist's Fire now have a way to recover it or is it still auto-banished in recovery then? Help us please oh wise ones on the Paizo forums!

So I will be flying into LAX and staying in the Lake Hughes area for about a week 4-5 times this year. The current trip takes me out there during free rpg day. Does anyone know of any PACG or PACS games out there that I can join? Any games on free RPG day out there? I'm willing to drive up to 2 hours each way for gaming. It would make a depressing trip (visiting sick grandparents) a little happier if I had some gaming to look forward to. =) Crossing my fingers there is a group out there. Thanks!

So my carpool is planning to arrive in Seattle around 3 or 4pm ish on Thursday. Anyone interested in a pickup game Thursday evening? I will be bringing Skull and Shackles with me since my Wrath hasn't arrived yet. Can't wait to see you all! I don't leave until Tuesday morning so if anyone wants to play pickup games on Monday that would be awesome too. =)

Hey all. So I came up with a death house rule to use with class decks. This is NOT PFS legal. Do NOT use this for anything except home games. Just posting in case anyone else wants to try it. ;)

If your character dies, you are removed from play during this scenario. Return any cards you acquired to the box. Reform your deck according to your character card and shuffle. Draw d4 (or a higher die to make this worse) cards from your deck. These cards are banished back into your class deck. Replace them with cards from the B set with the basic trait.

In memory of those who have fallen...

Heggal in Heaven's Wrath:

Heggal the Affable was a kind soul. Alway willing to share a pint or two with friends, he was always willing to lend a hand and his divine power to those in need. Ever the friendly halfling, he tried to talk his way out of difficulties rather than take up arms and fight. Sadly Heggal perished today when attempting to convince a Siren that his friends were not food. Heggal followed that sweet siren call down to Davey Jones' locker. Heggal will surely be missed. Please raise a pint to this pint sized cleric!

Just want to give a shoutout and big thank you to Hawkmoon for his simple turn overview. I printed it out, laminated it, and took it to Paizocon with me. It was helpful and popular. For all of you who wanted your own, heres a link to Hawkmoon's file:
