3 positive traits. Honest. He will murder, manipulate, and use everyone to keep him safe, but he will do it honestly. Merciful. Cruelty is pointless, why cause needless suffering when it slows you down. He may destroy a village if that was necessary to get what he wants, but he wouldn't needlessly torture the peasants. Romantic. He truly believes that the world contains beauty and that it is worth preserving, he just has some very warped priorities and a moral compass that has a few cracks in it.
Yeah, add to that he summons up a slip(Chelish for halfling slave) from the afterlife, basically chaining her soul to the here and now instead of her final rest... going to be interesting if we both get chosen. Worse yet, he is a bit fixated on her and Calamity sounds a lot like Kithlee, I can change that if it might be too much creepy.
5 minute:
1) I'd like 5 points that capture the concept and story of the character. More are welcome, but no less than five.
Noble Fop. Chelexian. Secret adherent of Abadar. Sheltered. Greedy. Coward. 2) Two goals that you'd like the character to accomplish in-game. Grow to be less greedy and cowardly and become a strong man in control of his life.
3) Two secrets, one the PC keeps to himself, and one kept from the PC. I'll come up with a third that both the character and player aren't aware of, in hopes of shocking surprises within the storytelling. He hides his religious inclination and his serious side, being the image of a good chelexian citizen has been all that has kept him alive. He does not know that he was the product of an affair his mother has kept hidden all this time. 4) 3-5 people that are tied to your PC by blood, love, rivalry, honor, etc. I'd like at least one enemy in a set of three or four, with no more than two for a set of five. PLEASE consider the players reference guide for ideas. His sister owns a merchant's guild out of Korvosa, they are on lukewarm terms as she thinks he is a useless fop. Isabella His widowed mother back in Cheliax, treated him like dirt as he reminds her of the one thing she could not truly possess. Eliana. A spurned lover and aspiring cleric of Callista who has vowed revenge. Roderick Maris The house slip, and secretly his only real friend whipped to death in front of him. Kithlee. 5) Three key memories that define your character as the person they are at the time of submission. His memory of his mother's abuses heaped upon him. The death of the only person who was ever kind to him. 6) Finally, I'd like you to include with your submission a fear or paranoia that causes your character to shiver, cower, or panic. Deathly afraid of being alone, especially in silence. Interaction:
A cool breeze on a late night, the slow rock of the ship has yet again pulled Gus above deck to empty his stomach over the side of the ship. Strangely, on this occasion, he has attracted the attention of a passenger rarely seen above deck herself. In one of the few acts of care she has shown so far, Aerys stops to pat the poor man on the back.
"Whatever you are drinking, it seems to not agree with you." Gus replies weakly. "I don't drink." The idea takes the half-elf by surprise. "Never seen a pampered noble that doesn't down his share of the good stuff. Can't handle it?" Gus, happy to have the company and worried that she might leave him to his solitude tries heroically to hold back the nausea threatening to end this conversation short. "I don't like how it makes the words stop." He glances out to sea. "Words are all we have some days, why would I want to destroy the grandeur of the moon rising on the horizon or the usefulness of knowing how to chart by the stars, or how beautiful a lover's eyes are in the light of that moon and those stars. I could not imagine why I would want to reduce my memory of those things. It would hurt me too much." A wrinkled brow, a moments thought, and the two would spend some time discussing words that night. Unfinished bits: I will have a 15 item list up soon and the eidolon statted out but she is getting skilled on one of the skills I give her as she is going to basically be his attempt to bring her back to life as she was.
Male Human Summoner 1 (Master Summoner)
I had rolled omens, 77. Translation test 56. What I got 16 Phobia. Elseways 09. Navigation for duration which was 3+ success 1/4 duration trip due to the ridiculous amount of elseways roll. I am in the waiting for encounters point on my rolls and everyone has to make a WP roll for the translation effect. Also, after a protracted battle with cancer, a close relative of mine has passed. I will be sitting shiva for her and will not have much time to be online for the next week. If you need to bot me, please do.

"You may argue among yourself about how best to deal with the situation of defense. I shall go and deal with the issue of getting us there." Zon goes to perform the rituals required for navigation of the warp with coordinates in hand, a smirk of superiority upon his lips.

Putting the mechanics here so as not to clutter the rp. Rolling as 2d10 as intended due to the effects of certain rolls. Auguries, Psyniscience 42: 2d10 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 24 subtract 1 from stability. Going to assume the captain takes his hour to not make 9s instant fail. Can't wait to see what he comes up with. Omens: 2d10 ⇒ (7, 7) = 14 Under the crews morale, I think, if I am reading our ships stats properly. Translation test WP 42: 2d10 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11 Warp Hallucinations... woohoo. Hallucination: 2d10 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7 Well, Phobia is fun, unless my WP test was arduous or worse... Elseways, Forbidden Lore Warp 54: 2d10 ⇒ (10, 9) = 19 Oh my... that is a lot of success. +45 to navigation tests. Though we get a +20 penalty to warp encounter rolls. Please tell me the captain took his hour. Navigation for duration: 2d10 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11 3+ success 1/4 duration trip I await encounter rolls. |
