1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm still around. Paizo threw the game into my inactive section and I was still checking the gameplay side but not discussion, so I didn't see that anyone was posting.

Sad to see it end. But at least Thogg went out surrounded by hookers. A good end for him.

This is why I hate stuff like Commune in PbP. It stalls the action all to hell. We're at almost a week with no posts. Can we get answers to the questions Lotus posted and just move on, Watcher? I'm all about people getting their moment to shine but this is silly.

Thogg remains as uninvolved as three frolicking whores can possibly make him.

But don't forget to get him before you go dragon hunting!

That looks like a good start. With those answered we can formulate more appropriate questions.

I'd hold off on 5 and 6 depending on the answer to 4. I think 2 might be superfluous if the answer to 1 is yes.

"I will be at the brothel. Send for me when Tik Tik returns."

Without further delay, Thogg leaves to enjoy the pleasures of the flesh and restore his strength with a soft bed and two or three female companions.

"Two days? Why wait until we're expected? Little Tik-Tik will find the beast and we will slay it where it lives tomorrow."

Once the dragon leaves, Thogg harumphs.

"I do not see why we had to talk to it. You should have let me kill it. I will not be a party to handing over 20 thralls to a beast."

"Fear not, Tik Tik. His breath cannot be much hotter than the places I've been."

Reminder that I have Resist Fire 10

Thogg leaps into the air, his powerful legs setting him quite airborne before the wings of his cloak even catch the wind. He loops upwards to about the altitude the dragon seems to be holding to and awaits its circling path.

"Tik-Tik, tell Lotus to get those blasted tchamek somewhere safe quickly and join us here or leave them! The dragon is coming around for another pass and no one will be safe unless we kill it."

Thogg rushes outside to confront the dragon, reasoning that there is little sense rescuing the people inside the temple only to make them easy prey for the dragon outside.

Thogg looks through Tesh's things. He'll sort them into two piles. One pile of weapons and one pile of everything else. The everything else part is unlikely to be of interest to him but probably would be for anyone else. He'll also see if anything would make a decent trophy, though his foe evaporated.

Thogg will approach the altar to see who is on it.

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

"It is good, Tik-Tik, to be underestimated. Many times in many lands have great beasts though I was beneath notice because they were larger even than me. Trophies from their bodies now decorate my hall."

I don't know what's going on with their formatting. It didn't used to do that. I tried putting them on another line within the same tag already. I'll probably just have to put them in separate tags from now on.

Thogg shouts his victory with such fury that some small flakes of plaster float down from the ceiling. He looks around, seeking a new challenge and, finding none, shakes himself of his rage like a hound shaking off the rain.

"A good fight! A pity it was over so soon. He was going to try to kill me. That should have been interesting. But nothing like hunting a dragon! We should seek it next."

Thogg's eyebrows draw together. "Wait, why do these people not cheer my victory? What is wrong with them?"

Beating time! I continue to take +2 to hit, AC, and Reflex from Blessing of Fervor.

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault 1: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (11) + 26 = 372d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 33 ⇒ (4, 1) + (1) + (3) + 33 = 42

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault Haste: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (18) + 26 = 442d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 33 ⇒ (1, 4) + (4) + (1) + 33 = 43

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault 2: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (20) + 21 = 412d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 33 ⇒ (5, 1) + (4) + (3) + 33 = 46

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault 3: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 202d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 33 ⇒ (2, 3) + (4) + (2) + 33 = 44

Confirmation for Attack 2: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (6) + 21 = 272d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 33 ⇒ (2, 1) + (6) + (6) + 33 = 48

Fort DC for Dazing Assault is 25 for 1 and hasted attacks, 20 for 2, and 15 for 3. First 2d6 is weapon, d6 after that is acid, last d6 is elecricity.

19 rnds of rage remain, 8 rounds of Boots of Haste
Current AC 35

Using the momentary opening as Tesh begins to fall, Thogg lashes out with his hammer.

AoO: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (1) + 26 = 272d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 33 ⇒ (4, 6) + (1) + (6) + 33 = 50

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! Quick does anyone have an immediate action spell or ability that would let me reroll?

Lotus, the AC bonuses from Holy Aura and Blessing of Fervor do stack. Fervor adds a dodge bonus. Holy Aura provides a deflection bonus. A deflection bonus which overlaps with my existing +4 deflection bonus from my ring so provides no benefit. But the SR just saved my balls!

Son of a b#~!%. Lucky bastard.

Thogg gets an additional +2 to hit and +2 to damage from Hali's song (if it matters with those rolls)

Good catch. Thanks. Those attack rolls should be:

40 for 45 damage
39 for 49 damage
32 for 46 damage
26 for 55 damage

DC's for Daze don't change.

Round 1 Initiative 28
Blessing of Fervor choice: +2 bonus to hit, AC, Reflex saves

Thogg activates his magical boots, howls with rage and charges heedlessly forward moving forward at a superhuman speed thanks to his Boots of Speed.

He crashes into Tesh swinging his massive hammer which sparks with captured electricity.

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault 1: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 382d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (4, 5) + (1) + (2) + 31 = 43

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault Haste: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (13) + 24 = 372d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (6, 3) + (1) + (6) + 31 = 47

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault 2: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 302d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (6, 2) + (2) + (3) + 31 = 44

Raging, Power Attack, Dazing Assault 3: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 242d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (6, 4) + (6) + (6) + 31 = 53

Fort DC for Dazing Assault is 25 for 1 and hasted attacks, 20 for 2, and 15 for 3. First 2d6 is weapon, d6 after that is acid, last d6 is elecricity.

Is Tesh flatfooted or is he too prepared for that?

20 rnds of rage remain, 9 rounds of Boots of Haste
Current AC 35

Daze:
The creature is unable to act normally. A dazed creature can take no actions, but has no penalty to AC.

Ha! Diplomacy. Not happening.

With a mighty swing, Thogg crashes through the door, howling. "I am Thogg Smashes-What-He-Hates! I am the Hunter! I am your end!"

Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Casts stamps foot and snort angrily. Drinks elixer of graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Then let's get our initiatives and beat some mofos!

"He comes with us. He should see what cleaing up a mess really looks like." Thogg eyes the count critically. "Besides, I think I would probably kill him. I am Thogg Smashes-What-He-Hates, not Thogg Shows-Great-Restraint."

Buffs and scouting accounted for so I think it's hammer time. Unless they're behind a pretty remarkable door, I think we can consider it smashed. =)

Thogg holds up the count by his lapels and gives him a good shake. "Come with me but stay out the way. If you try to run, I will hunt you, I will find you, and you will beg me to do nothing more than tear your arms off and beat you with them. It won't help but you'll beg just the same. You have made the disaster of a dragon attack into an even worse nightmare for the people of this town and you will see this through."

Thogg grunts, not used to such a long speech about anything but his own exploits. Without further delay, he strides to the indicated door and smashes it open with his enormous hammer.

Of course, "without further delay" is just a bit of narrative fluffery. We can certainly wait for anyone to scout, buff or ask another question. Or Thogg can go smash.

"He is not taking care of your dragon problem, he is creating an undead problem. Now quickly, before I tear your arms off and beat you with them, where in this place would Tesh be?"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29

Thogg is awesome.

Happy to bring the senseless violence of a barbarian to your campaign.

"What's there to plan? We go find this Tesh person and beat him senseless."

Round 3 Initiative 28

"I have an idea. Don't die while I'm gone."

Thogg ducks out the door, returning with the struggling count. "Call that thing off or so help me I will throw you into it."

Intimidate: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36

If doing all that takes two rounds I understand and will do it over rounds 3 and 4.

Without any passable target for a beating, Thogg smashes the area of the floor with the symbol repeatedly.

Damage 1: 3d6 + 25 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) + 25 = 34

Damage 2: 3d6 + 25 ⇒ (5, 5, 6) + 25 = 41

Damage 3: 3d6 + 25 ⇒ (4, 1, 6) + 25 = 36

3rd d6 is acid. Also, Watcher has the right of it; I can't hit a swarm. If it were only incorporeal I'd beat the ever loving hell out of the thing since I have a ghost touch weapon.

Init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

See, this is why I hate being a non caster. There is literally nothing I can do here. I can't attack it, it flies so I can't break the floor beneath it, I don't think I can do anything. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears. Also, very sorry for my absence. Work was butt crazy. Like 3 days of all day meetings crazy and a bunch of other stuff.

Thogg glares at the doors as though to open them with nothing but anger.

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

Assuming he doesn't see anything dangerous and no one stops him, Thogg will open the door in this customary way, with a sharp rap from the earthbreaker.

Thogg is not happy about the lack of time he might get in the brothel but comes along anyway, grumbling under his breath and shooting hard looks at anyone who might approach the group while they travel.

The lack of interruption on the way may have had something to do with the hulking, visibly annoyed barbarian.

Thogg shrugs a shoulder, moving a pauldron upset by Tik Tik's landing into a more comfortable position. He pushes past Keffle to follow the guards, looming over them.

"Which of your rooms holds the count of this blasted city? We need to have a conversation about why I keep getting attacked in the streets. Also, I'll need a private room and three of your women, but it may have to wait..."

"Ha! Even the art at this place pleases me! Let us find answers and maybe a few hours of free time."

Thogg opens the doors wide.

The in-combat 32 healing from Lotus' channel brought me up to full, at least until the negative levels wear off. When will that be, Watcher?

"Yes, the brothel. Nothing eases the heat of a man's blood like a woman after a fight! Do you suppose there will time before we depose the whatever Keffle said? Tik Tik, you have been here longer than us. Lead the way to the brothel, if you will."

Thogg shakes himself out of his rage, laughing softly to himself. "That was more like it! It is good to feel the true rush of combat!
"

Thogg saunters over to the edge of the pit, ready to smash the opponent inside if he manages to climb near the top.

Readied action to power attack the remaining enemy should he successfully climb within reach of a downward smash.

Halistria D'Harvash wrote:
Since she's hasted and only used a fraction of her move, can she keep moving to L23?

Technically, no. Haste doesn't grant an extra move action. You'd need something like Shot on the Run.

Fort save for Flesh Wound, DC 26: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28 "You cannot hurt me, pitiful cretins!

Flesh wound halves the damage to 13, subtract DR and Thogg loses a total of 30hp (169/199)

Thogg continues to pound away at his opponent.

Raging, Power Attacking 1: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (11) + 22 = 332d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (5, 6) + (3) + (4) + 31 = 49

Raging, Power Attacking Haste: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (18) + 22 = 402d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (2, 3) + (2) + (6) + 31 = 44

Raging, Power Attacking 2: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 292d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (3, 2) + (4) + (4) + 31 = 44

Raging, Power Attacking 3: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 312d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (4, 3) + (2) + (5) + 31 = 45
Raging, Power Attacking 3 Confirmation: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 272d6 + 2d8 + 31 ⇒ (5, 6) + (2, 3) + 31 = 47

Thogg screams his rage at the enemies who have weakened and disoriented him with their rays and his weapon erupts in flames. We bounds towards the nearest one and leaps at him, swinging his earthbreaker in a wide arc.

Pouncing, Raging, Power Attacking, Pissed off, Mother F'ing Charge 1: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (5) + 22 = 272d6 + 1d6 + 2d6 + 31 ⇒ (2, 4) + (3) + (5, 3) + 31 = 48

Pouncing, Raging, Power Attacking, Pissed off, Mother F'ing Charge Hasted: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (13) + 22 = 352d6 + 1d6 + 2d6 + 31 ⇒ (2, 5) + (1) + (5, 2) + 31 = 46

Pouncing, Raging, Power Attacking, Pissed off, Mother F'ing Charge 2: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 242d6 + 1d6 + 2d6 + 31 ⇒ (5, 4) + (2) + (3, 6) + 31 = 51

Pouncing, Raging, Power Attacking, Pissed off, Mother F'ing Charge 3: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 232d6 + 1d6 + 2d6 + 31 ⇒ (5, 2) + (4) + (2, 6) + 31 = 50

The first 2d6 is weapon damage, the d6 after that is acid, the 2d6 after that is fire. Next round, that 2d6 fire will decrease to d6

I'm placed on the map but I'll wait to see what they do before guessing at my actions. Thanks for the Haste, Kaz.

Watcher, I think I'm going to switch the Dazing property on Thogg's earthbreaker back to Raging. I already forgot about it in our last fight. I think it will be easier for both of us to just use the option with the least book keeping.

Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

"I should not have let you flee before. Thogg Smashes-What-He-Hates does not make the same mistake twice"

"There has hardly been any fighting to speak of. I'm working on it.

Thogg suddenly brightens. "The brothel! We were told the count might be there. We should go there now. That at least will be sure to not be a wasted trip."

Thogg leers in a positively inappropriate manner at the Elven woman who has joined them. "You are a much more pleasant site than the rest of my companions. You we will keep."

"My blood is up and this place holds no sign of the groom. Lets go to where ever Count Saleno lives and break his door next."

Does anyone here cast Greater Magic Weapon? Thogg would benefit greatly from it.

"Probably safer than your prison cells, fool. Get in or run away, it matters not to me. Are there other cells? Some dungeon below the place. Where is this person we're meant to find?"

Is there another door out of here? Or another in the room we just left?

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19

Thogg shakes himself like a dog throwing off water, or perhaps more like a wolf.

"That was fun! Are one of you the groom?"

He kicks a fallen enemy. "What manner of creature is this? That was no mere man."

Just in case we need it

Power Attack: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (15) + 24 = 392d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (5, 6) + (2) + (2) + 31 = 46

Not to derail gameplay or anything but how did you move and do a full round action?

AoO: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (16) + 24 = 402d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 31 ⇒ (2, 5) + (4) + (2) + 31 = 44
