I have a dilemma. My adventurers left the pyramid after rescuing the hostage and taking URI’s journals. (Legendary athletics dealt with the door, and the 2 spellcasters were down to cantrips) By this time the phoenix was unleashed, blocking one path. They returned the next morning. I expect URI to escape, taking the amber key. This makes entry into book 6 hard. Any suggestions?
I wonder what's involved to get rid of light previously cast on willing companions. Four standard actions to dismiss them individually, or the need to cast light 4 more times?
How to overcome the Wendigo Torment? I know there has been some discussion about the Wendigo's Ride the Wind ability. My interpretation of how it works or doesn't work is not what I want help with; it's how to deal with the torment after a PC has been afflicted. My players' party does not have Divine or Occult traditions, so no way of casting Remove Curse. The 6-player party has a champion, rogue, arcane sorcerer, primal sorcerer, druid, and ranger. Divine hasn't been required as between the champion and the druid with a staff of healing, the healing needs of the party have been covered. A Will DC 38 save is required to overcome the Wendigo Torment, but the party's Will saves are +23 to +28. Stages 1 & 2 impose the Stupdified 4 condition, giving a -4 on Will saves. a Will of +23 is adjusted to +19, requiring a natural 20, or successive 19s on the dice. Is keeping the PC restrained, preventing them from killing, until an NPC can cast Remove Curse the only option? If so, an added challenge is the PC is a halfling rogue with Unhampered Passage.
I’d like my players to be able to mark up a digital stolen lands map. What is a good way to do that? Ideally they will be able to do this between sessions. In some ways I want it to be like a digital whiteboard.
Update: I have just received shipping notification from Paizo that this is coming from the Paizo warehouse to New Zealand. Slight problem: It’s being sent to an old address, even though I changed it in June and received confirmation of the change. I’ve replied to customer service and hope they can do something.

It would help more if you were NZ based, but your profile indicates Australia. On https://www.gameontabletop.com/cf194/kingmaker-10th-anniversary.html#item-u pdates-10065 there is an unanswered comment on 27 Sept from MGMGrand: "I've been in touch with Aetherworks, and they are apparently only handling Australia's fulfilment, and not New Zealand's. Who can I expect to receive my product from in that case?" On 18 Sept Paizo said "Update: Aetherworks has confirmed that all Australian shipments are out for delivery." but that doesn't confirm if NZ shipments are coming from Australia (which is most common), or are part of Paizo's "outside the regions listed above".
Dante Majiko wrote: To my understanding, when a creature appears that I want to make a Recall Knowledge check about, I need to suggest a Skill (or Lore) to the DM. As a GM using secret rolls I don’t require my players to suggest a skill. I look for the skill that gives them the best chance, within the confines of the valid skills someone else has shown. There will be times my players will remind me of a lore they have, and often they won’t try a recall knowledge unless they think the creature is likely to be covered by a skill they have. I also choose to give information most useful to the one asking, and not something that would be most useful to another character, such s telling a sorcerer has resistance to fire, and telling a rogue the creature has resistance to physical.

Looks good. I used a completely different image as the supplied image was too much of a giveaway.
Varisia, Birthplace of Legend has a paragraph about the Twilight Academy in Galduria.
The Pathfinder Wiki page, although brief, is comprehensive with established canon. https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Galduria.
It depends on how different you want it to be.
I am a bit confused about Algret. Adorned Dolgindir of the Guild of Finery asked the PCs to investigate the vanishing of a tailor named Algret.
Algret's role:
If the PCs can rescue her, Algret shares what she knows with the PCs—that she is in fact a spy in the employ of the Guild of Arms who had been charged with investigating possible corruption within the ranks. She followed her clues to this location, only to be set upon by the corrupt guards and imprisoned here. She was so deep undercover that few people even knew she was on the case, and by the time the PCs arrive she’s all but lost hope. Does Dolgindir know she is on the case? I will assume not, and that only he is only aware of her as a missing tailor. "Deep cover" makes me think she's not really a tailor, but is competent at it. My players sought permission to search her place, which Dolgindir granted, but found nothing out of the ordinary. (I didn't want to derail the adventure by having the heroes investigate a spy ring in Kovlar, and am treating "Deep cover" as making sure there is no evidence in her home to cause her to break cover. What does a spying tailor do anyway? Arrange measuring and fittings in people's homes/offices, and rifle through documents while the buyer is changing clothes? (I can see how getting recommended to other targets is useful.)
I think I want to permit free archetypes in Agents of Edgewatch, but limited to only a few, along the lines of Strength of Thousands. The obvious ones (to me) are:
Are there any that make it easier to do non-lethal damage with weapons or spells?
I will encourage my players to choose other archetypes as part of their class feats if they want them. This post is focusing on the free archetype.
BeardedTree wrote: My players wound up being forcibly arrested in our last game, all after fighting Kralgurn, two Theas (there are 5 of them) and immediately after that the Accursed Forge-Spurned. They had no problem with Kralgurn but as soon as the Forge-Spurned showed up they faltered hard. The Mastermind rogue only made one knowledge check with Occultism and the Cleric didn't make any knowledge checks at all because the way I wired "you CAN use religion" instead of "yes it IS a religion check" made him think he couldn't do so. I'll watch out for that. My characters have only just met the council. It looks like you GM the knowledge checks differently from the way I do. As a secret recall knowledge check I roll on against the characters best valid skill (taking into account different DCs for lore skills).
I'm late to ask but I do wish you'd offer an .ics calendar subscription for this, as most of the world is not familiar with adjusting PDT timezone to their local timezone. In the absence of that, include UTC timezone would be useful. I missed half the keynote as it started at 7am Saturday morning for me and the twitch app on iOS didn't offer me the opportunity to go back.
Hi, I'm missing Pathfinder Society Scenario 2-11. I've just received notification of order 36323400 with scenarios 2-12, 1-13, & 2-14. Previously, in order 36313252 I received 2-09 & 2-10. Separate from this, I see order 36323400 is still pending. I'm happy for this to wait until it can be combined with another shipment to reduce shipping costs. Thank you in advance.
Historically bows were more effective than crossbows but required training. Crossbows became popular as less training was required to aim and hit your target. The trained archer could still fire more arrows than a trained crossbowman. Some specialists could do this even faster.
Guns eventually replaced bows and crossbows, but not immediately. Early guns were unreliable and required time to load them safely, but a specialist could do so faster.
A couple of centuries later guns became easier to use and more common (in parts of the world). This gave rise to the term gunslinger (first used in 1920). The first repeating firearms that gained widespread approval are from the 1800s.
I'm happy with the current description, even though it doesn't let a sheriff in Alkenstar use guns the same way a sheriff in the USA's cinematic Wild West can do so.
With the introduction of the Beastmaster Dedication, I'm allowing my player to have the warg puppy her ranger adopted as a second animal companion even though technically a beast cannot become a companion. The companion will be treated as a wolf which can talk. The ranger in question is a gnome used to talking to animals with Burrow Elocutionist and Animal Elocutionist, so the talking benefit applies to other characters encountered. The other warg puppy was adopted by the druid and the sorcerer in the party has a talking familiar so talking animals is not a new concept in the party. Please advise how things could go horribly wrong with this approach.
I'm considering presenting a harrow reading for the characters before they start this book (and the later ones). My players are still in book 2. Which harrow cards, with or without layout, would make a good harrow reading for this book? I'm hoping for a general reading, rather than tying it too close to an individual character. That way it could be useful for all GMs. Having said that, the party consists of 2 dwarves, 2 gnomes, and a halfling, making up a champion, druid, ranger, primal sorcerer, and a rogue. They get on well with the Ekujae. They also left Gerhard alive, unarmed in the jungle. He will soon find his boat and what they did to the totem.
One of my players asked about casting Dispel Magic on the Vrock with the intent to dispel the conjuration effect. This was based on him seeing the magic circle and assuming it could be banished. After I seemed hesitant (with no guidelines included for this) he decided the check would probably be too difficult. Can such conjuration effects be dispelled?
I've just noticed the following season 1 scenarios are not in my downloads. I haven't changed my subscriptions since 2nd edition came out. All the other season 1 scenarios from #1 to #19 are in my downloads. Looking at the https://paizo.com/store/pathfinder/society/season1 page shows all but these 2 are in my downloads, confirming my check in my downloads. Pathfinder Society Scenario #1-12: The Burden of Envy
Unrelated: I have just pre-ordered Pathfinder Flip-Mat Classics: Bandit Outpost and would like it moved to my sidecart instead of being shipped separately when available.
In my game, the characters met Alak early, but he never went into town the two times they did. Instead, he camped overnight nearby. They encountered him again in the lower level as written, and the PCs were very careful not to desecrate the bodies to the extent of checking that the removal of [redacted] would not be a desecration.
The Call for Heroes is a monthly event. What are some suggestions for future events that can be used for flavour? Obviously the reward needs to be too small for the PCs to be interested. As part of the relationship the PCs make with the townsfolk I expect there will be interest in seeing what is happening. Missing farmers, Missing shipments, Lost livestock. What else?
