Mixed emotions. I like the character. I like the concept. but with the attrition it seems that we are doomed. Its hard to get into the game when folks keep leaving.
pressing his attack Shad strikes out with fang and claw
Shad continues his assault
Shad swims to the side and then attacks one of the sahuagin he was facing off to.
Shad back pedals a few feet, pulls a potion out and putting the bottle between his teeth he pulls the stopper and downs a cure moderate wounds.
Shad let the crossbow dangle from its kelp rope and tore into the Sahuagin right to his front.

Knowing his underwater crossbow only had a range of 20' effectively, he kept the crossbow loaded hanging at the ready from its kelp harness as he swam out to the left, looking to spread the assault a little. moving half his speed he came to a halt and readied the crossbow for firing if one got within 20' of him.
I doubt it. Knowing my kindred. We are more interested in blood letting than peace.
Looks like 9 of em. following at a distance. Id say they are going to either report our goings or going to assault after dark.
Shad goes to the rear of the ship and peers at them trying to identify any imperial badging. Remember most of my kind serve the King. So we must be prepared for a fight.

Shad grins and says through his bloody teeth...well that gives us some live prey to eat. Unless you think joining us would fair better than either being food or swimming to the mainland.....
Seeing theres a bottleneck Shad thinks if he rushes in there they will get opportunistic attacks, so it might be prudent to first lessen their chance to hit him and he downs the potion he bought that would do that...

The crossbow bolts hit Shad in the gut he backed up a pace and glared at the buccaneer he pulled out a cure potion he'd taken out of the treasure pile and downed it. The wounds knitted quickly and Shad moved back to all the others to go forward.
Shad goes to the door and flex's his claws. Yeah lets finish this
Shad spun and glared Simple we are rebels. you might seek favor from the King and turn against us. Why should we trust you?
Ehh throw em over for the whale to handle. We shouldnt be taking any prisoners. Its not like they are likely to be converted to our cause.

seeing the Priest drop Shad thanks Munrir for the healing and turns to go in search of more prey. He heads down the stairs and around to the cabins and entering it he moves around behind the mast to come up on the far side of the buccaneer Heskevar was engaged with.
Fighting for his life the Sahuagin continues his assault on the the pirate priest. and in a frenzy of attacks, 1 claw slices into the priests throat, while the other grips his forearm puncturing to the bone while he leans in to bite the priest in the face.
Shad grimaces at the strike and pinned between two enemies he does what he knows...attacks. His claws miss as he painfully strikes. But his bite is solid and bites the priest again on the shoulder....deeply
Shad continues his assault on the priest. This time the Pirate Priest isnt so lucky....
Shad's in. I think the combat was and is a bit more than we could take on atour level, But im trusting the dm to not have made his first combat a TPK ;)
Shad hisses at being flanked by the priest and the p[irate and continues to go after the more dangerous one. and once more it seems only his bite is effective
Shad assaults the priest. The Cleric deft avoids the two claw strikes, but cant get out ofthe way of Shad's bite as the Sahuagin feels blood running between his teeth again and chuckles.
Ignoring the sailors turning to face him, and seeing Grin and Barret coming up, Shad says Im for that priest on the forecastle and he heads up the stairs heading straight to the priest...
with this hold secure, Shad turns and heads around to the stairs and up saying to the clerics among the group The Priest down in the hold had a wand of healing he pauses on his side of the gangplank going across and looked at the pirates gathered on the deck with a grin and says through the bloody visage he is, blooddripping from fangs and claws You all are next for me to feed on!!
Shad steps towards the priest blood dripping from his claws and continues his attacks.
1 claw got through his defenses and slashed along his neck
Shad grins at the priest...Big Mistake he said before continuing the assault focusing on the pirate in front of him
Shad ignores the sailor and focus' on the priest. The flurry of assault did land a claw attack on the priest, opening up his arm.
Shad see's the priest healing the Officer of the wounds he had obtained and a sound like boiling water escape his lips. He ignores the sailer and continues his focus on the Officer looking at the priest thinking...'youre next'. both claws slice into the Officer who avoids his juggler being slashed open.
Shad continues his assault on the officer.. The Officer avoided all but 1 claw raking across his neck
Shad shifts 5 feet to put himself into a better position if the Officer falls and continues the assault. he slashes the officer across the chest and leans in and bites him on the face hearing the pirate scream.
The Frenzy abated, Shad circles around the mast approaching the Officer from the side and swiping at him with his left claw as he circled the mast.
With the last few seconds of frenzy upon him, Shad continued to slash out with his claws and snap at his opponent with fervor. His claws ripping through the human.
Sahuagin blood dripping from the cutlass slash, Shad hissed through his teth at the pirate nearest him and stepped sideways bringing the full brunt of his frenzy to bear. He saw 1 claw slice into the humans neck, but miss the juggler.
Shad glances at the other pirates coming up and the thoughts of downing the last healing potion he has flicker through his mind but quickly are replaced with the thought of the best defense is a good offense. and he relents to the frenzy while its still upon him. He striked out at the pirate who had cut him.
Not even listening to Nathaniel, Shad rushes doen the stairs past Ganymedes to strike at the first Human he comes to. He slips on the stairs however and his claw rakes across the wall.
Shad, the frenzy still upon him...glances at his allies on the vessel hes on, and at the few on the other vessel and turns and heads down the stairs, crossing the gangplank and coming up behind the human standing on the stairs. He says in a voice that is full of menace...Lets take the fight to them.
Shad slides a little to his right positioning the Repeller into a flank and then cuts loose.. The Pirate was dancing around avoiding what he could but for certain 1 claw sliced across the humans chest.
Shad felt the potion easing the pain in his body and then a sprinkle of belessed water had washed the remaining injuries away and his grin was without mirth but far more sinister as he looked at the sailor with menace. He was prey. The Frenzy still upon him he rushed forward towards the human He slashed out with a claw, feeling it slice through skin. he caught the gaze of the pirate...he said simply Ill enjoy eating you
