Seggas raises an eyebrow over the, frankly unusual excuse but says nothing. "Right, then let's get you out of here and back to Absalom Station before another entity tries to distract you."

Seggas, noting that there's another member of the party shooting acid, pushes out a need from a ring finger and injects Bii with something that causes the weapon to chitter in excitement for a moment. She raises her rifle and fires a shot, trying to recreate the shot she had last round. "Take this, tentacle thing!"

If that hits, I'll add the updated Geneticist Inhibitor It sadly only adds 1 damage at this level but better than nothing.

I'm so sorry for the lack of posting. I hit a week where I was busy and stressed and the only game I was able to keep up with was a table of the special I'm running and then I just did not have the energy or headspace to get back to the boards. I should be okay from now for a bit, but I think I will need to cut back tables in the future as I was over the number I can handle when stressed. I'll read up on what is happening and get something posted ASAP.

But likely as close as any of us will ever reach while being able to come back and talk about it. Seggas gives Mizix an odd look. "You can visit the Burning Archipelago if you're curious about that. I'm sure they have museums even."

Seggas loads up a small ringfinger worth of something into her biomass of a gun. She takes aim with the literal muzzle of the weapon and fires.

However, trying to keep another ourburst of mad scientist mania under control, she twitches and the shot, with an AC degrading genetic strand in it flies into the back hole instead of the sun.

Seggas gives a wild, lilting, maniacal laugh as she raises a hand and a small syringe extends from her ring finger. With her other hand she pulls out a large biomass that slowly reforms into a bulging, pulsing, veiny approximation of a caustrolance. She injects her finger into a part of the gun and then takes a proper shooter stance with the butt of the gun against her shoulder. "Be a good girl Bii and peg that man with a good bolt of acid!"

Seggas starts to give a hissing laugh as the initiate tries to intimidate the group and threatens to kill them. She glares at him directly. "Honey, ONE of my parents is already dead and the other you'd have to go to hell. And given how much of a deadbeat he is, I'd be glad you killed him! But you don't want to mess with me. I, by direct court order, cannot experiment on people without express, written, permission... or in self-defense. Threatening me would... make. my. day! Muahahaha!"

She has a small coughing fit as she realizes her words were undercut. She instead pulls out her weapon as she moves to the north and causes the area around her to darken as she goes.

Seggas, seemingly a little more confident in this situation than with the friendly Alsuka gives a small smile as she answers, "By birth, darkness."
She then stops to ponder what, exactly, the mystic is asking for. Her experiences? "I've traveled the timeline I traveled, I don't have better words for it. Seen a planet full of singing ponies. Been involved in a mass hacking of Absalom station. And helped a Dreamer of Livara to stop a disaster."
Culture: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 There's no way this relates to Artisistc Traditions or innovations right?

Seggas takes her time to enjoy the tea, trying to practice what she heard was the tea ceremony style of the kasathan with turning the bowl before drinking.
Sense Motive, don't think anyone made that DC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
She mostly stays silent, her occasionally overpowering social awkwardness rearing its head as she doesn't quite know how to respond to the delicate and elegant social situation and the very friendly woman. After a short moment, she sets down her cup and suggests, "There have been some reliable studies recently on how cedamron bark brewed in hot water can be good for most sentients to relax. It blends well with most other flavors and might be a good addition to your tea here... assuming that you are open to such a suggestion."
Medicine: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
She does pick up a box of tea on the way out, opting for a box of Duke Tan as Sturm seemed very happy to try it.

Seggas gives Sturm a raised eye as the dinner finishes.
On the way over to the Idari, Seggas hands out a series of waivers of liability to everyone but Sturm. "Right, due to certain ... uh.. reasons I need anyone who wants to benefit from my medical care to sign one of these. In effect you agree to not sue me over any complications that might happen due to unforseen circumstances. Of course, if there was clear negligence it doesn't cover that. Also you might be subject to light, exceedingly temporary, and purely cosmetic genetic testing."
This is Seggas' way of ensuring that you are okay with her using biohacker class features on your PC.
On the Idari she gives the group a look as they get into the Outlands Market. "There's a masterful genetics augmentations specialist here I've been DYING to meet. They might be the only people in the Pact Worlds to have the only genetic samples I need for a few projects I'm working on. I'll meet you back up here in an hour or so? If that works."
I made a few purchases, and am flavoring it as her getting them here. Seggas is picking up a Synaptic Symbiote mk 1 for Dex, an Applied Knowledge species graft and a Electrolocation species graft as well.
55 minutes later she shows up with a small scar on behind one ear and some modified boots, but otherwise seems rather unchanged. "Right, let's get to looking for this kasathan... Can't be too hard here right?"

So, Seggas and Sturm have a Partner Bond. It gives the two a telepathic link and we tend to make good use of that to talk to each other. I don't mind others reading the banter we put in spoilers, as long as it doesn't affect actions.
The other BIG thing it does is allow the two to act together on the higher Initiative. It's likely to be Seggas (who just took Improved Initiative) but in case the dice are capricious it could be Sturm as well.

As soon as she got the memo about where the meeting was going to be taking place, Seggas's eyes light up. She dragged both herself and Strum to a tailor to get proper outfits for the best kasathan cuisine, possibly period. "Sturm, I've had my name on the wait-list for this place since I was 18. The fact we get to go, much less together, AND not have to pay for it is a dream come true. We are doing this RIGHT."
She shows up to the place in a slim red dress with a balck and red shawl over her shoulders, the color complimenting the red in her eyes and red lipstick she chose for the meal. She sits down, brimming excitement barely under wraps as she waits for the meal. Throughout most of the meal she's in her own world, a low level hiss of pleasure radiating out from her verbally and mentally. It takes Sturm's strong mental bond and comment to break through her shell of pure bliss. She stops and blinks at everyone around the table, as if seeing them for the first time. "Huh, what?"
After a moment of what looks like Seggas nodding to a non-existant lecture, she looks back at her bonded companion and then the skittermander who was gracious enough to get them a spot here in the first place. "Right, go and try bring back the absent First Seeker... There are systems in place for a First Seeker to willingly abdicate power, right? This is only be attempted because it seems he still wanted to be First Seeker, or he hasn't properly completed the tasks to pass on power to the next person leaving a leadership vacuum that... First Seeker Elsebo can't fill? But, to be perfectly honest, I'd be willing to do just about anything for a meal at the Restaurant Lashav."
After a moment she realizes that almost no one at the table knows her name. "Ah, right, I'm Seggas Yakan, Doctor of *cough*Vetrinary*cough* Medicine and Doctor of Medical *cough*Dentistry. Feel free to call me Dr. Yakan or Mistress Seggas if you're feeling forward. I'll be keeping everyone here alive and as content as I can. Oh and, knowing how much he hates to introduce himself, the large golden dragonkin in the dapper evening coat is Strumvanger."

Heyoh! I decided to join up and brought a friend. I've been playing through the scoured stars scenarios with a solarion, but he's already in a different scoured stars game and thus I needed to bring someone else. But my biohacker, and the dragonkin soldier she's bonded to, were both free and looking for a game! She is level three I just need to level her up.

She is a bit too distracted by the conversation, and decides to let someone else have a crack at the panel as she shifts her focus over to that conversation.
"I can't answer whether AutoMaint 13 dreams or not. We haven't met them. You know them better. Do you think they dream? Have they ever said anything outside of the set communication standards?"
She pauses for a moment and then gives a small sigh, "To be perfectly honest, they might not dream. You mentioned a time when you were 'asleep, but not dreaming,' right? AutoMaint might be in their own state of asleep and not dreaming. Some machines don't dream, or think about themselves. They aren't built to."

"This crate was designed to hold a living creature in stasis, with out need for water, food and air as the iridescent spindle aeon stone here and that broken clear spindle aeon stone suggest. The process tends to leave a creature disorientated and famished, meaning it could be treatened or motivated enough to attack us. Seggas has 5 fire resistance, she should be okay for damage. I swear this has saved her so much damage at low levels. Also she and Sturm share the faster initiative, so he should be up too.
Seggas frowns as the laser flashes across her skin and deflects off of a few scale like growths just under her skin and seems to leave her unscathed. She growls and pulls out a blob of biomass that quickly unfolds itself into a longarm shaped gun, she aims it at the robot that shot her and fires it in retaliation. "I'll take days to heal that skin back! Geez, I hate getting hit by weak lasers!"

Seggas gives a huff as she looks at the logs. "See this is one of the reasons I don't use machines as much as I can. My creations won't possibly randomly become sentient and self-aware and have a crisis of faith about it, they are already sentient and (after having reached maturity) can choose their own fate. Cuts out a whole mess of problems."
She frowns and then looks at her datapad for a few moments. "I have a psychologist I sometimes use when my pretties have issues... But she is sleeping at the moment, and can only help those willing to take the help."
"Anyways lets get to the bridge and see if we can't actually have a talk with the ship."

Seggas walks through the corridors of the building with an eye on the walls and her ears open.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Her eyes widen for a moment as she quickly picks up a faint noise with her sensitive tiefling ears (that may or may not have been modified with other genetics, a bio-engineer has to keep some secrets.)
She glances at Sturm as she types out and sends everyone a message on their comms. <<There is something else alive in the ship. I believe I just heard some faint growling. We should be on the look out for a live creature.>>
She falls in behind Sturm before seeing the computer console that now seems to be fully powered up from his and Bonkers' efforts. The biohacker moves up to the console and starts to mess with it for a few moments, seeing if she can't access the bridge controls from here instead of making yet another trip to a different part of the ship.

"Right, everyone should have a copy of how to navigate the ship, just in case you get lost or separated. There might be an unknown amounts of damage that might make some pathways impossible to access. Be careful."

So sorry for not posting for a while. Life has been busy recently. I'm moving from all of the schools I teach at and my base school closed down so I was running around helping them clean-up, move things around and get rid of unnecessary things or stuff with personally identifiable information. It's sapped my energy and time. Things will be settling down next week, and I should be able to post more regularly.
But also please feel free to bot Seggas as soon as she is the one holding things up! Simply firing a gun works just fine.

Given it had enough air to liberally send jets of it out at possible intruders, I doubt it doesn't have enough air sound conduction. I wonder if it's less an air composition and more of a temperature issue? That is a massive part of life support too.

Seggas, unable to do much to help Keskada as she gets blasted back from the entrance, prepares to help her afterwards if she gets hurt further.
The biohacker instead moves up and tosses a small ball of biomatter on the trap, hating that she has to Cuttsy in such an aggressive way. "Come on Cuttsy! Know this isn't the normal sheet metal I have you cut for me, but this trap needs to be disabled."

This time it's a short experiment, something fun. He is modifying some bioluminescent algae from Verces. He hopes to be able to use the small colony as a disco ball of multiple colors.
If Saggas (or really anyone else) shows any interest he is more than happy to discuss the project.
"Sometimes science can just be fun, you know?"
Seggas, an hour later, shakily walking about and still shedding a few blood red scales, pokes her head into the lab and pauses, eyes wide, as she notes the glowing ball of algae. "That is glorious! Did you make it yourself? Where did you find the genes for that? Do you need help?" She then pulls out a bottle of half filled lavender liquid, "Also you want a tipple of synthol?"

Liilywind wrote: Liilywind stops mid-rep and jumps over to her rifle. She hears Seggas' voice before she retrieves it and relaxes just a little. She walks over to the door and touches the panel to see the face of the tiefling, "Gre-greeting Seggas. You are welcome into my quarters."
She leads Seggas in and turns down the lighting feeling that the level was silly. "I am curious about this synthol. I've never had it." She produces some standard issue mugs and summons a table from the wall. Sitting down, she smooths out her antennae and continues, "I am not upset, I just can't abide by rudeness and the only shadows I have met, I've had to shoot at so this is a whole new experience for me. What is your take on..." and she glances at her datapad, "this Istilnar, assuming that is it's name as it has not identified itself? It just lurks over your shoulder like a black cloud."
Seggas hisses for a second at the sudden, nearly blinding light in the room until Liilywind drops the level to a more normal amount. She shakes her dazzled eyes for a second. Before pulling out a bottle of lavender liquid. "I grabbed a bottle of the Ring's finest Plum Synthol, in my opinion. Salvation Sally's Plum Potpourri, it sounds fancy but, despite being extremely smooth, it will very likely have you inebriated in half a glass. I got it to celebrate a mission well done, but you seem to have need."
She pours a small amount out for Liilywind, so she can try it before moving onto the topic of conversation. "One thing I've learned from life, before and after being a Starfinder, is to not let people's actions and thoughts get to you. If they condemn you for your heritage, they probably weren't worth being around to begin with. If they're insufferable rude, then you need not pay them any mind. Istlinar, assuming he gave a valid name for the Starfinder records, seems the withdrawn type, the kind to keep to himself. I have a feeling if you leave him alone like you leave your own shadow alone I doubt he'd be a problem. And if he does become aggressive or abusive, then I bet most of the crew would be there for you."
"Also, another thing to keep in mind, what one person or culture considers to be rude, bad manners or even unacceptable, might not be the same for another person or culture. But if you want some advice on what to for right now, getting distracted and trying something new and liberating would be a great idea..." She takes a moment to take off her shoes and socks, and watches as her toes slow grow webbing. "One final thing about this synthol, it's really really good at hiding the taste of my retroviruses! We can test what it's like to have a mermaid tail together! I've even set up the recroom to simulate what it's like underwater on Kahlo if you want to try swimming. Just make sure to fill out the questionnaire I sent you!"

Seggas rolls her eyes at Sturm and gives him a Look.

Seggas pauses for a moment before looking up at the rest of the crew. "The most common and legally recommended course of action here is to try and contact the company that owns an automated shipping vehicle. We should send a message to Manifold Industries and see if they have any thing to warn us about possible hazards or hazardous materials that could be on board before we start to willy-nilly board the ship."
She opens the comms channels and with a quick contact look up shoots off a message to the Manifold Industries Automated Shipping Department with the re-encrypted data attached.

I'll make sure to only study and learn from any data I collect; however, I might try to recreate from scratch, certain forms or structures I find, if that is acceptable."

Seggas attunes Bonkers and Sturm (and anyone else who signs her waiver) to her micro lab, that oddly enough seems to be integrated to her spinal cord with an access point at the base of the neck and lines out to her finger tips. Over the course of the mission, she performs quite a few experiments on Sturm, a few lesser ones on Bonkers (the most notable being making him grow scales like Sturm but in vantablack making the ysoki practically disappear.) Similar question as Bonkers, if yon don't want Seggas to attune and be able to auto biohack/apply serums from a distance, let me know. You don't have to sign the waiver
When the message comes in she is still trying to convince Liilywind that she should allow Seggas to give her an appropriately sized mermaid tail for a moment. "It'd be temporary and my best friend loves the one whe has! Trust me, I think you'd like it!" She perks up at the notification, but accidentally gets a Sturm-furball to the face and throat and has to spend a few moments getting rid of the fuzz. "Definitely NOT trying this one again!"
