It's been a while since I have done a PbP here, or played Pathfinder for that matter, but recently I have developed a Pathfinder itch after learning about the Spheres of Power/Might system. I love playing mages, but hate Vancian magic, so I've been really interested in fooling around with this system but all my tabletop friends in real life have moved to 5e or just don't have the time. So, here we are.
I've had great success in the past with solo adventures and exchanges (On Mythweavers) as they don't tend to suffer from a slow down since there is only one other person to wait on. Games lasting years rather than crawling to a standstill in months. And with a solo game, you can really tailor the game to the character's story. So here is my proposal: I run a campaign for you, you run one for me. Just the two of us, though I'd be open to running something for a duo or trio if you want to bring a friend.
We can keep this simple and use the existing APs as a starting point (I have yet to make it past the first chapter of Carrion Crown, though I am open to most of the APs). Or if you have a campaign setting of your own you would like to explore or develop, I would be interested in that too. Or we can go in another established setting, like Dragon Age (which works a lot better with SoP than Vancian). I myself have a setting that I used in college that I have been meaning to pull out that works much better with SoP style magic than Vancian. I tend to like darker fantasy, stories about rebellion, or long epics.
So if you are interested in playing a solo game tailored to you for the long haul and are more than willing to run one in exchange, make your pitch, both on what you'd like to play and like to run. If I like it, and you like my counter pitch, we can start playing.
Caorann spends quite some time trying to decide how much to tell the others of the Hill of Cairns. Finally, she decides to warn as few of the others as possible, only her current traveling companions. Given that Deideron is currently away from the others, she'll start there
Deiredon:
Caorann is careful about stealthily through the trees to reach you. You hear her whisper out from the nearest tree.
"Psst! Deiredon! I have something to tell you. I think I know why they are torturing lyphs for information about the Hill of Cairns. Creatures, humans, elves, what have you, that enter the Hills come out dark and twisted. Some become gigantic and monstrous, some resemble the living dead, but all come out evil. You may know of one such creature, the Fulough Barghnora! I think that the Tafganor and Sashi-Anhain, or whoever is commanding them, may want to use the twisted magic of the Hills to create a dark army. We lyph have hidden and sealed all the entrances what lies beneath the Hills for a long time. Only we know where those entrances are!"
Caorann woke up late this morning, tired from the battle before. By the time she woke up, Poseuses group were already out the door. From behind them, the group hears the high pitched voice of Caorann darting toward them.
Wait, I'm coming too. It may be a new home, but this is my home too, just the same. I am going to help!
She doesn't seem like she will take no for an answer on this one.

Surprisingly enough, my weekend included all of those things. I went to a con with a group of friends for the weekend.

Oi, you lot. Do you really think you can take us all on? You are vastly outnumbered and out skilled! Run now and you can escape more or less unscathed!

Illyri can't really do much without a flanking buddy, and here in this case, it will be hard to pull off. This would take place of Chieraks action, but since it probably won't affect it much, I decided to just go ahead with it.

Illyri walks toward the back.
When they get back to the Doorstep, Illyri will nod to good old Smiles and order another drink.

Somehow I am...underwhelmed. How about that other ship? Can we take the other ship?

Take 10 on Bluff, 22
Oh I do. My husband and I have a room here. He should be here soon... Oh, there he is now.
Well when I rolled her stats, they were, well, amazing. So it led into this idea of a sahilyph that was some how above other sahilyphs. She is next in line to be Queen where she comes from, but she has long since left that forest, wanting to live among others. She doesn't agree with the sahilyph mistrust of outsiders, so she left to learn more about the world, being of the curious sort.
Also, add this to the fluff: Sahilyph are known for cultivating all sorts of plant life, going to great lengths to raise rare flowers and mushrooms, and even go out into fields at certain times of the year to promote blooming and growth there. They are known for shaping plant growth for their homes, clothes, arms and armors, tools, etc.
So I had some downtime earlier today, so I started to write a bit about the sahilyph. Here is what I have so far:
Physical Description (this is mostly from what Tarquem supplied previously): Sahilyph stand between 7 and 12 inches tall, making them the smallest of the lyph subraces. They typically have platinum blonde hair, worn long by both sexes, but quite often they dye their hair. Their wings are similar in shape and mechanics to hummingbirds, but with iridescent feathers with colors ranging the entire spectrum. Some individuals wings even change color. Among the lyphs, they are known as the most skilled fliers. Their eyes are unvaryingly black and large, allowing them to see on the darkest of nights, with sharp, pointed teeth made for eating insects. Generally, they look like halflings but in miniature, giving the race a child like appearance.
They tend to eat insects, mice, and other tiny creatures, as well as the nectar of a certain flower that blooms only at night. In general, they enjoy sweet foods. They hunt singly or in small groups, taking advantage of ambush tactics to bring down prey.
Society: Sahilyph live in the deepest, darkest parts of forests or in isolated hilltop glades, typically far from other lyph populations. When they do live together, they live in villages high in the treetops or canopy, carefully hidden, often by magic, of no more than 20. Often, these villages are transient, forming as a matter of necessity, like when food is scarce, raising young, or there is a threat against them, but there are a number of larger, permanent settlements. However, they tend to live solitary lives, moving through the forest alone, but congregating with other sahilyphs during full moons to dance in the moonlight and perform rituals to promote and protect their forests. Despite their diffuse nature, they do have a power structure, with each population having a Queen, normally a sorceress or druid, that serves as a spiritual link to the forest. Sahilyphs follow the queen's lead on which rituals to perform and how to deal with outsiders.
Sahilyph are some of the most magically inclined lyph, often producing fey sorcerors or druids. They consider themselves the guardians of the forest and of nature, and will defend it. However, their tactics are never direct. Travelers, settlers, loggers, etc. are all diverted by illusion and enchantment, causing many rumors of haunted forests and lost woods.
Relations: They rarely will interact with nonlyphs, often choosing to stay hidden from those who might harm them. With other lyphs, they are only mildly more interactive. Sahilyphs treat other lyphs with suspicion, but sahilyph do appear in lyph summits and have some trade relations. Other lyphs species regard them highly for natural magic or knowledge, but as finding one is difficult, they rarely try. Some sahilyphs do choose to live among the other lyph species, and there they are well regarded, especially if they have magic.

You'll have plenty of meat shields to stay behind. At least Chierak and I are melee. And Micha's badger presumably. Don't know about alex's character. And you'll level up to two in no time.
Well I worked on a much better and longer backstory for a while, it has been lost to the ether. I don't feel like doing it over again right now, but I'll post it again tomorrow.
But anyways, here is Illyri, slightly edited and aliased.
Simple Backstory and Description, will expand later:
Illyri grew up in Stormreach. Her parents died when she was young, forcing her to take to the streets at a very young age. She was quickly taken in by a small time street gang, where she learn the tricks of her trade - a thief. And for years, she has been quite successful at it, until she decided to rob from someone she shouldn't have - a house Kundarak noble. Now she is hightailing out of the city, running from a spurned noble.
She is 5'8" with long grey hair, and pale skin. Her eyes are a misty grey. However, her go to form is a half elf with midnight black hair, somewhat darker skin though with the same eyes. She normally wears a tight fitting white shirt with an open collar and tan pants with a black cloak and leather vest, but she will sometimes wear much fancier garb when the situation requires it (normally to impersonate a noble) or a skimpy dancer's outfit when distraction is necessary. Whenever she thinks she needs the protection, she wears a mithral shirt tailor made for her under he clothes. She wears a golden necklace with a emerald inset and small silver earrings.
She is clever and sly, easily matching or exceeding most in battles of wits or verbal repartee, but as she has no formal education, she know little about the world. She has a biting and crude tongue, having grown up among thugs and ruffians, but she knows when to hold it. She is skilled with her rapier, using feints and flourishes to land deadly attacks while dodging theirs. She like fancy and pretty things, decadence, and the easy life, but she will be the first to become bored and restless when things become stagnant.
I may decide later to make her into a bard, but that will be more or less the same.
