Ackbar's disembodied voice echoes in the ether."IT'S A TRAP!"

The soothing warmth of the heater unit is suddenly enflamed as the whine increases in pitch, before anyone can even move the unit explodes in a gout of metal shards up to ten feet away.

The modual said it triggers if two or more people are adjacent or someone tries to warm themselves. I wanted to give a turn to move away but (Belta warms her hands in front of the heating unit) I am not tryin to be a jerk. sorry.

DC 13 to save for half damage, Belita, Saratur and Bonkers are within 10. Let's assume a short rest was done since I don't want anyone to die please.

3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1) = 6

The sound of the explosion echoes throughout the cavern. As the group collected itself sounds of footsteps filtered into the area. the party turned to see A group of half a dozen creatures approaches cautiously. Each is humanoid with facial features that resemble a bat’s, though
with four eyes and a ruff of pale featherlike fur around their neck. they wear what could be thought as clerical vestments and carry objects of obvious religious importance, such as censers and small icons. They carry no sources of light into the cavern, and only two of them are wielding obvious weapons, but have yet to take an aggressive stance. They stop a safe distance away, seemingly unsure of what to do next.

They mumble amongst themselves in an unknown language.

Swing and a miss. Ok well maybe next time. :) So from here we can keep going south/west through the cracks in the wall or through the door to the south.

Side note, we are very close to the end of the module. sorry about how long it is taking. I hope everyone is ok with the casual speed it shouldn't be too much longer now.

Hey, Sorry for the slowdown. Tonight is day 5 of 12 hour overnight shifts and I am feeling tired and burnt out. I am drafting the update and I hope I get it posted before I go to work because I won't be able to there. Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop and thank you all for your patience.

Bonkers is able to sufficiently remodel the lab to suit his standards and adequately double as a medbay. The technology he keeps is pristine and well looked after. The Starfinder society seemed to spare no expense in that regard.

Belta kept busy moving from crewmember to crewmember keeping everyone sane with little social interactions which help build bridges with the other members of the society.

Waverly was naturally drawn to the engineering section. Here too the ship was in great condition. Since the engine was recalibrated it has been humming along perfectly, As long as it is supposed to hum that is.

T3dy hopped right into the pilot chair. The ship was big but nothing the android couldn’t handle. With expert skill and grace T3dy smoothly kept the ship running efficiently.

Several cycles passed uneventfully until one ship-day during an intense conversation among the crew Both Mega Kodrog and Saratur happened to look out separate viewports. They both saw a startling sight. In the distance an eerie orange glow broke the otherwise plain monotony of the drift. Like a beacon calling out in the darkness. From this distance it was impossible for either to tell what might be causing the mysterious glow.

AH well I am glad you noticed that. I put that in specifically. It is a clue about an up coming mystery that is very important to the mission. :)

With a nod of approval from Cakes the team splits up to preform their separate tasks.

Mega Krodog runs out of the hangar and into the busy Absalom street. He looks down at the data pad short cut that was provided by Cakes and begins to hustle following the route as outlined. Everything seems to be going well until the data pad instructs him to enter an alleyway with several large signs stating "Under Construction" Mega Krodog reaches the end of the ally and finds it blocked off by a wall that isn't indicated on the map.

While that is going on Belta contacts the Absalom Station flight control office. It takes several minutes but finally she gets through to a rather cranky sounding female. Belta can tell the Officer isn't too happy but after some expert negotiation on Belta's part the flight officer says "Alright, listen. I juggled a few things around and a made some room for you, I will transmit the time code and coordinates to Cakes and tell her she owes me one.

By now Mega Krodog has decided to backtrack to the street but since the "Short cut" is currently unavailable he sprints the whole way to the pickup taking the long route.

At the same time Bonkers and T3dy get to work on the Landing gear. The Engineering bay is full of top tier equipment as Cakes had said and it doesn't take long for them to get the gears ship shape. A quick diagnostic reveals a clean install and they are ready to go.

Mega Krodog finally arrives at the depot and he is met by an android in a shop uniform. The helpful android takes the order ticket from Mega Krodog and efficiently retrieves the order. Which is far heavier then Cakes had led him to believe. With a sigh Mega Krodog begins the arduous trek of return to the shop with the UPBs.

Waverly enters the cockpit and finds everything he needs to install the necessary updates. "Instruction manual is beside the data pack.Cakes called out in answer to his question. True to her word, Waverly found a data pad with all the instructions laid out step by step. It was a simple matter of following the list one through twenty-seven and before he knew it Waverly was done.

To make matters worse for Mega Krodog when he got about halfway back to Cake's place, he found that the construction area had grown, It was now blocking a whole five block corridor and there was no longer a direct route. With a grunt Mega Krodog gritted his teeth and continued to lug his burden.

Saratur found himself in the engine room tinkering with a small portion of the infinite cosmos. The power ebbed and flowed around him passing from one sci-magic relay to another. The work was precise and difficult but by all appearances seemed to be completed without issue.

When all the work is done everyone gathers around Cakes who seems to be in a much better mood then when you arrived. "Well I never thought it would work but we seemed to have nailed it. I am really grateful you guy saved my tail. Listen I got a couple of last seasons inferred sensor armor upgrades laying around. If any of you are interested It would take a minute to install. "

Around about now Mega Krodog bursts into the door. He is tired and sweaty and slightly out of breath. He deposits the UPBs on the ground in front of Cakes. The Ysoki looks confused for a moment and then says "Oh yeah, forgot about those. I didn't actually need them after all. Thank you though."

Ok I am going give time for everyone post an exit, confirm if you want to take cakes up on the sensor or not. Let me know if you need anything before launch. NEXT STOP SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

”Can you help? Hmmm, let’s see. the Ysoki consults her data pad yet again, finger flying over it. ”Well that quantum flux drive requires a precise measurement, I better do that myself, Jones and Vegnarthma are appendage deep in de-solidifying the bio organic expulsion extruder I will leave them to it. Ah yes here we go, if they can do this and this. She ticks items off a list. ”Then I can free up beta shift to finish the prep”

With a satisfied look she nods at the party. ”Ok well I have a few things I think you might be able to help me with. The extra hands would be a big help and I would appreciate it.

First the Wanderstar’s engine needs it’s arcane power converters to be realigned. This is pretty easy, only requiring a few minutes of retracing the runes and invoking the correct invocation. Anyone with a fundamental understanding of Mysticism should be able to figure it out easy enough..

Second, the ship’s main computers need an update. My techs haven’t gotten around to it yet. All the software is ready to go, we just need someone to do the actual install.

Also the landing gear gave us a pretty dodgy reading on the last diagnostic, I wouldn’t mind one of you giving it a once over. My Engineering department has all the materials and equipment you may need.

The hull needs a quick patch but I am missing the UPBs. I ordered them already but my supplier can’t deliver them for a few hours. If there is someone Athletic enough to run and pick‘em up, I have a map with a few shortcuts that will make the trip quick.

If some of you can Handle all that we should be able to get the ship ready in less than an hour.

She pauses as if thinking then continues. ”That said, I do have a couple of things that I could use a hand with that aren’t specifically related to the ship. For instance, I could use one of you to speak to Absolom flight control to see if you can sweet talk them into a launch window since we are going to miss the last one. They get cranky about this sort of thing so I would recommend taking as much of a diplomatic approach as you can.

Just then her com chirped a notification. Cakes looks at it and lets out a long sigh. ”Not this grognard again.” She cuts the com without answering. ”Ok look, Captain Thaulm Kindo isn’t happy with me right now. His ship was scheduled to dock earlier today but as with everything else he got pushed, problem is he can’t take a hint and keeps chirping at me thinking it will help. I would REALLY appreciate it if one of you could placate the man. Now I don’t care if you have to Bluff, charm or Intimidate him just as long as he leaves me alone.

Each of the Italicized items are the associated skill check to complete the task. Due to the time restraint each of the tasks will be completed at the same time so each character may only complete one task.

Alternative solution: If instead of rolling your chosen task you wish to write a paragraph or two of roleplay narration about how the task is completed we will consider the check to have passed without a roll, in this way even if you do not possess the required skill you may still pass. Feel free to discuss who would like to do what if you wish..

The winding outer corridors of Absalom Station bustle with other sentients pursuing their own agendas. Despite the relative crowding the trip to the arms district is quick and uneventful. The party arrives at the described space dock. A large metallic building with gargantuan bay doors. Inside the dock, a flurry of activity assaults the senses in a chaotic dance of efficiency. Uniform clad mechanics pepper the area, climbing over ships of all sizes like ants consuming an apple. The noise of machinery, clanking of metal on metal, and muffled shouts fill the area. A large blast of heat washes in a wave as an engine fires up before coughing once and expiring in a cloud of black smoke much to the chagrin of the mechanics working on it.

”What do you want?” Came a squeaky voice speaking common, from behind the group. ”This is a restricted area, you aren’t supposed to be here.” A female Yoski materializes in front of the group. She is dressed much the same as the other mechanics, in greasy overalls with a I.D. badge with her picture and the name ‘Cakes”. She wears a well used utility belt filled with tools of her trade. A safety helmet with attached goggles is perched under her arm. She waits expectantly for an answer.

I agree with Gauis. We all get that real life can interfere with a game but communication is key.

What we have so far:

Gauis set a scene in his first post, it is night time, he told a story around a camp fire, He worked on his mech, he went to sleep.

Ami joined that scene, sitting around the campfire enjoying the night.

Warren also joined the same scene swinging on a hammock, he listened to Gauis' story then when Gauis went to sleep, Warren started a conversation with Ami.

Then the ranch owner came out saying it was time for a cattle drive?

is it night? why are we driving cattle at night? in rifts that would be super dangerous no? is it day? I don't know.

I have the impression that the GM isn't reading what is happening and has no interest in running this game.

I have other games to play with people who actually want to be there so I am going to politely excuse myself.

I hope you have the best of luck moving forward.

Welcome Joseph, glad to have you. T3dy is Psionichampster so with you we are at 5. As long as you have a web browser that isn't a cell phone Foundry should work perfectly.

Looks like we are right on schedule, we got three more days to see if anyone else wants in. SO EXCITE!!!

sorry my fault, We are still using the "red barrens maps" link and I didn't think anyone would notice it was down. I have been playing with the settings in foundry trying new things, Like adding form fillable PDFs and D6 dice macro with wild dice support.

It is back up but It isn't official until GM Therenger makes it so.

Sorry for confusion.
