This may be over simplifying but here goes; Statement 1.
Statement 2.
Statement 3.
Statement 4.
Presuming all the above Statements are correct what happens when a Natural roll(either 1 or 20) is also 10 away from target? I'm just using combat as an example , but this could also apply to other types of Successes.

I was asking because I'm running Age of Ashes, and the PCs seem to be leveling more slowly than the Mod suggested. Thanks to the advice given I can now adjust XP before the next Mod. But now I will have to Break down future encounters to dole out XP. Perhaps the Good folks at Paizo could add something to help.

Here's hoping I'm not incredibly dense; Table 10-8 XP awards are based on party level. Tables 10-1 and 10-2 are for building an encounter. When it comes to awarding XP, do I have to break the encounter down to determine how much to Award? i.e. A 4th level party encounters a Severe 4, Made up of a Creature 5 and 4 Creature 1 s, do I award XP of Party level? Or do I award Party +1 plus 4 Party-3?

I was under the impression that precise shot negated the -4 modifier for cover thta your allies provide when in combat. I've heard differently, from a friend, who was at a con in a PFS game. He was told that Precise Shot negated the penalty for shooting into combat, but his allies provided cover so he was still at -4 to hit. This sounds strange. does that mean if you DON'T have Precise Shot that there is a -8 to hit?
Pathfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Society Subscriber
So, if a PC is shooting into melee without either feat, the penalty is -8? -4 for just shooting into melee then Another -4 for trying not to hit your allies?

As I read the Water Walk spell it says
Whereas Water Walk, Communal says " This spell functions as Water Walk, except you divide the Duration in 10 minute intervals among the creatures touched" I would think that you would never take Water Walk,Communal spell as written for two reasons: 1. The duration is now actually REDUCED as compared to Water Walk. 2. The spell is 4th level as compared to Water Walks' 3rd level. I welcome any other interpertations.

I have been out of the GMing scene for a while, now that i am back & TRYING to report scenarios played the site won't let me. It gives a drop-down box to "select scenario" but the text is all you can select. So that's my current issue. I have called your offices & gotten no reply, hope I can get one here. In addition my name appears as Rocannon II not Aaron Andrews... what's up with that!

I know the last post is almost 6 months old , but here goes: is ther any plan NOW to eother update the PDF or print a "races " book ? I would REALLY enjoy seeing how PRPG would change / revise BOTH elves & dwarves , seeing as BOTH came out B-4 Prpg. Just my two CP.

I don't know if this has already been said but... I like the sectional organization.
An aside to Jeff or Vic , when the PFS Guide updates again, as we all KNOW it will, can you guys get together and put it @ the TOP of the window? That way those of us with LOOONG lists of downloads don't have to search? PLEASE?!

Since Josh and the Paizo bunch are relying on the Honor system. If you date the mod on the day you played it, you should be fine. I forgot to add a player from one session and it worked for me that way.As I am not a member of Paizo this is just my impression.

I too have been Gaming for longer than I care to confess. This has happened to me just twice. My solution was thus: 1. All die rolls need a witness, either GM or trusted player. 2. Every third crit. is divided by the multiplier. i.e. if you crit. w/ a battleaxe I divide by three and apply only that damage from you. These worked well for me , as the player either stopped cheating or the others monitored him. As for init. rolls, you either can once in a while let the bad guys roll exceptional against him only, or have something action altering happen after his roll.

I started a group usying the APG classes in the PFRPG mods "test of the Everflame and they were jonesing for a striaght Cleric but managed to survive, overall I like the new classes and the Summoner comes out WAAAAY ahead as far as power goes. other than this no gripes . I feel the input was well heeded and the second release corrected the possible flaws .

Is there an erratta on the description of Extra Channel, as it is the only "extra" that cannot be taken more than once, if I read it right . [b] Special:[b] If a paladin with the ability to channel positive energy takes this feat, she can use lay on hands four additional times a day, but only to channel positive energy . It does not say: You can gain Extra Channel multiple times. Its effectas stack. Are we dissing the Cleric a second time ; first low skill points and now with Channel?

As one who bought all three wotc special eds. and stored them, I am HEAVILY in the HELL YEAH category. I am also in the real leather and bound paper/ guilded camp. This would be a book to collect more than use , I think. btw a RED cover would not only ROCK but can show how superior PFRPG is to 4th ed. A game called Earthdawn did red covers and they were sweet.

I don't know if this was covered but you can get a potion of (shield of faith) which has a lesser bonus but the same duration. (b) Shield of faith Range : touch Target: creature touched Duration 1 min. / level This spell creates a shimmering, magical field around the target that averts and deflects attacks. The spell grants +2 deflection bonus to AC , with an addtional +1 to the bonus for every six levels you have(up to +5 deflection bonus at 18th level). cost is minimal and still is good for any level cuz' monks don't get any deflection bonus @ all. If this is on the wrong board please tell me, but I have a some small questions re: characters in a scenario; 1 If you play a char in a scenario you cannot play that scenario again with another char? 2 can a player have more than one char. @ a time in a scenario?

The 1 P. A. seems fair , as well as FULL gold. Lack of access to the favors isn't much of a sacrifice, as most don't get used. (or haven't yet) The concept of running 10 DIFFERENT scenarios in a 6 month period and
Especially if it is a special scenario, or just some exclusive "crunchy bit". As a long time gamer who is runing "tournament style" for the first time ever, I am impressed with PS, and the ease and adaptability of the system.
