There is that. Woran is pretty darn loyal. And she knows that my brain got eaten by Cosmic Captive. So... We get to level up. Whoo! When are our second level characters due? Hmm
I am alive, I think. I am now going to try to catch up with 125 posts in gameplay, and then ask if you'd like to replace me. I have been the worst player ever. So you guys are Level Two? Hmm
I have been dealing with the Special and the Pitchfork Mob of GMs who want to post and were frustrated by the blackout. I have not been in here at all. Hmm
Rataji nods to her brother, as she breathes in the delicious healing he provided. "Thanks Vy, what would I do without you?" Then she looks up, seeing the goblins continuing to swarm. "Please tell me that we're not talking about Oskar's pants. Time to clear the corridor!"
If the Goblin attacks back:
Back from the inasanity of the Cosmic Captive launch. All 25 tables are now up and running. My rapier should be ready for the next batch. Hmm
"Thank you, brother!"
Rataji leaps on the table, past goblin number 1 and Oskar's enlarged ass, deliberately triggering an attack of opportunity. "I've always enjoyed being light on my feet!"
On her own turn, she spins around and attacks again if there is anything left to attack.

"Look who finally showed up." Though her hair smoulders, her voice is oddly cool. Rataji, still angry over Oskar's disappearance, tries to tamp down her emotions. Yes, Oskar broke her heart. But he was good in a fight, and when he was there you knew he had your back. She nods as he drops the goblin, and then suddenly enlarges and morphs. Looking up, she meets his gaze to let him know two things. One. She was not going to let the awkwardness of the crib death of their almost-romance interfere with the team. Two. She hadn't forgiven him yet. "We could use the help, so welcome back." She holds up her rapier. "Try to keep up. Justin, ready to open the door?' As soon as the door opens, she charges in.
Oskar is back! And so am I, I think! Hmm
I put a bot me spoiler on Rataji and did a bunch of anticipatory rolls to move us through this complex. With PaizoCon looming I will disappear effectively for two weeks. BOT ME. So... Are Rataji and Vy the main fighters that we have, currently? Do we still have Rodrak?
Rataji, having finished poking the draperies with her rapier, keeps going ahead through the space, rapier at the ready. "Sounds like a solid plan to me!" She glances back at Justin. "I wonder what little traps the goblins will set for us? Oh well, we have our own surprises." It felt good to be out. Good to be doing things again. She didn't like moping for Oskar. So what if he was cute, in a tusky way? He'd made it clear he wasn't interested, the jerk. Why? Everyone said she was cute, right? Maybe the flames put him off. He had no idea what he was missing. A good stand up fight... that was what she needed to get her blood moving again. Her hair lights up and she grins. "What are you waiting for? Open that door! Rataji smiles as she swishes the sword around. "Ooh, nice!" Then she turns to Justin. "I like your plan. Open that door!" She moves in as the door is opened, sword up, ready to provoke attacks of opportunity from the goblins that she can parry and riposte. Anticipatory Rolls for the GM:

Oh, don't hang your head in shame. You Netherlanders are so tall that hanging your heads in shame never works right for you. Yep, I am finally sitting at 101 games. Because of course both my PBPs finished at the exact same time, even though I tried multiple times to stagger them! I have a question for Tineke... What level are we supposed to be now? It seems like a lot has happened. Should we be level two, or am I just imagining this? Hmm
Mostly? So is it an extra puff of air behind the "t" sound? I studied in India, and 'th' was usually T with an extra puff of air. No reaction to the fourth star? It's a small milestone, but it matters to me. Hmm

Taj looks at Vy and raises an eyebrow. Taking his arm, she asks, "So... Who is this Shalelu that you admire so much? Do you have any stories to share with me?"
"Is it time for us to go on another extermination run?" She pauses unhappily. "There are more houses around then we can possibly search. Can we teach people how to be aware of the signs of goblin presence? Or is there something else we can do to help ease their fears and ensure their safety?"
So the forum did not notify me of new gameplay posts. Most disconcerting. Hmm
Rataji sighs as the boys hurry through the food. It was a good meal, worth not rushing through. She grabs a bowl, taking it with her to the meeting.

I have been locally blessed with both. If you don't mind me being slow and distracted, I could probaby play here again. I have been worried about keeping up with everything of late. When Jen stepped down, online suddenly became huge to me. I have been trying to learn a whole bunch in a short time! Hmm
I'm undead. You may want to proceed without me -- Tineke, when you started as a VL were you completely utterly overwhelmed? There is so much to do.... My to do list is huge. Ah well, at least the work is worthy. Hmm

I'd like to drop with the option of someday coming back, if you'll have an opening later. I've been feeling horribly stressed this holiday season, and I need to cut back on something, so I'm dropping two of my campaigns to preserve sanity and bandwidth. If you'd like me to RP my exit -- maybe staying on to help out at the orphanage or defend the town, I'd be happy to do so! Hmm
My characters tend to have families. Look at Taj. Her dad is here. Her mom isn't mainly because she's a Peri and they're rather flighty as angels go. She had her kid, and now it's time for the humanoids to raise it. My characters also tend to have adopted family members -- like Snow! Family can add all sorts of dimensions to a character and their backstory. That said, I am thinking of dropping this game. Between GMing multiple PbPs in January, and switching to the Online Venture Team, I worry that my personal bandwidth is getting kind of limited. I think that for my sanity's sake I'm going to have to drop a couple of the adventures I've been playing. Since we're still in Sandpoint, maybe this is a good time to drop Taj. She's been talking about adopting an orphan. Dad is here and the town needs protecting. Maybe she joins the local guard and becomes an NPC, but doesn't travel with you guys when you go goblin hunting. Hmm
Taj waves back to her friend, then returns back to the boys. "So, what's next on our agenda?"
"Cooties? I don't know. The boys in my group seem well groomed, even Vy and Justin who have fur everywhere." Taj grins, thinking for a moment of Vitro's long hair. "There's a new elf in the group who I wouldn't mind doing an up close inspection of, but I think he'd be offended if I told him I was doing a cootie check. Maybe I should just give up on boys for a bit... But I really like them, even when they're stupid half the time!" The pie is really tasty, and the beach nice. "Do you want to do volunteer work for a while? You could help organize things like supplies for home defense, or help out at the orphanage. Maybe try something new, and see if you're good at it?"
"It's not. You have to be true to you to yourself." Taj sits down with Shayliss, and enjoys some pie. "Eventually, either your dad figures out that you are a real person who needs space and friends, or you decide whether you want to stay or leave. I'm really hoping that you two can work it out." Then Taj sighs. "Speaking of working things out... Oskar's stopped talking to me. I'm worried that he's just going to hightail it back to his old job and old life with Nisk, and I'll never see him unless I'm buying alchemist's fires. I'm not a normal girl. I know that. But I was kind of hoping that Oskar might give me a chance. Instead, I think I came on so strong that I scared him away."
Taj hugs Shayliss. "I did get your note and it sounds like a splendid idea. I'm sorry that I didn't answer earlier, I was stuck in a meeting with the mayor all morning. Shall we go? We can get Ameiko to pack us something!"
"So we're now off to hunt goblins? Can we make sure the pork is delivered to the orphans before we go?"
