I drew a table to show my intention.
Nice! I removed the upper row, ceiling is at 15 feet.

Bot me spoilers are the best!

Gitana, in the case that you want to parry (and riposte): can you state that in your post? I am fine with rolling the dice for you, but won't decide when you will parry.
You can probably imagine that it would delay matters considerably if you were to announce the attack against you and then wait to see if you want to parry.
Rataji the Resourceful
What I like to do is spoiler Parry and Ripostes in my action posts, so they're there for the GM to reference if they come up.
GMG
That indeed works fine.
I have decided not to play my swashbuckler anymore in PbP. Between step up & strike and parry & riposte there is almost no combat round in which she does not use her immediate action. And then there are also rounds in which I do not want to use her immediate to use lay on hands as a swift on my turn...

Thank you, Rataji-sensei. This one was wondering how to handle the various swashbuckler deeds. This one will will do his best to follow your Path of Wisdom.
Any mentorship you can provide is appreciated.

I will be at a local Con this weekend, I might get in a post tomorrow. Otherwise we will resume on Monday.

Thanks for the notice GMG! Also sorry for the slowness on my part, work and sleep have been boogers lately. Also wanted to say that I'm aware of the forum weirdness and am off to check gameplay now and post as needed!

Oh, the turd tunnel is back! I wake up from my sickbed to the return of forum notifications and hilarious Blood under Absalom references. You guys crack me up!

Gitano: You are pretty well off in the parry department it seems, but you haven't gotten the hang of the offensive end of that rapier yet. I suggest using the pointy end vs the flat of the blade when trying to draw blood.

Is it weird that I'm looking forward to resuming the game when GMG Magabeus gets back like a kid anticipating Christmas morning?
Indulge a PbP newbie, I'm having a lot of fun with this.

Not weird at all! Welcome to the joy that is PbP. I've actually grown to enjoy it more than playing live, at least as far as the RP potential goes :)
(Just be mindful of how much posting you're actually able to do in an average day and don't overindulge in games!)

Haha, plenty of posting to be done when playing in gameday specials.
Give those a try when it comes to it.
Both GMG and myself were both at a con today, playing a Multi table.
Man, they had the threat colors in the city and outside of the walls shifting from orange to a multitude of yellow, orange and red.
The relief to see the city turn condition green eventually, however.
I was messing with the paladin too, shame on me, for me being neutral and decapitating an enemy's corpse to use as a means of intimidation when defending the battlements. ^^
There's something to be said for both, now that i've played tabletop as well.
PBP gives you pause to come up with the right words for conversations.
While the look on other people's faces when you do something is great for sure.

Gitano, I am very happy that you are enjoying yourself!
The con was great, we played Siege of the Diamond City yesterday and I had the pleasure to GM Bid for Alabastrine for Blaze and played Through Maelstrom's Rift at a wonderful table on Saturday. All in all a very good weekend.

Hey folks, I've got an early (and long) day at work tomorrow so please bot Corona as needed and I'll catch up once I get home tomorrow evening :)

6. Day job Roll (if any) Perform (Oratory)
Not that we are near the end, but can you roll your day job for me? That way I have all the information I want to fill in the chronicles at the end.

Following Gitano's first successful mission as a Pathfinder field agent, exploring the Fallen Fortress, he heads to the Grog Pit in Absalom's Docks district. He takes a prominent seat near the hearth. A serving wench brings him a chilled glass of Kyonin absinthe. As the crowd gathers and the tension mounts, he sips the milky green vintage. Then, from his waistcoat he draws a fine braganza, a thin-rolled cigar from the Plains of western Molthune. With an ember from the hearth, he fires up his cigarillo, as he surveys his spell-bound audience.
Gitano exhales slowly, peering at them through the blue smoke, and recounts his tale...
Perform (oratory): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Don't be alarmed by the map, I messed up a bit with encounters but will get you back on track this afternoon (@CET)

Checking in; work continues to be a booger and I must sleep since I ended up getting an extra night (tonight) tacked on to my list of shifts. Please bot Corona as necessary and I'll try to catch up either later tonight or tomorrow :\

Checking in; thanks for the superb botting everyone! I should be able to post for Corona now when her turn comes up again :)

I will probably post a bit less in the coming days since I have a couple of very busy days ahead of me. Our eldest son did not get into the high school he wanted to join. Now we have to choose again from the schools that are left. Needless to say his second and third choices are also not available anymore, so we have our work cut out for us.
In our city you apply for 1 school. If there are more applicants than places there is a lottery. After the lottery you can apply again for the schools that still have places available (and then also indicate 2nd to 4th choices). The schools will take care that everybody is placed in the second round. Problem is that the weakest schools tend to be left...

Hrm a lottery vs merit based? Schools here, at least private ones, are merit based and thus usually have far better students and are expensive. Public schools I'm not sure how they work in large population areas.
Either way, good luck, tough situation for you and your son.

Good luck and good hunting. As bleak as he feels, he'll make the most of it, with your encouragement and guidance, I'm sure.
As my military career moved us around the country and around the world, we had a full-spectrum experience with schooling, public and private, from pretty good to horribly bad.
We worked a lot with our kids to fill in the many blanks any school leaves in their education.
They both exceeded our dreams and expectations. Son went to Stanford on his way to med school in Seattle. Daughter went to Fordham and George Washington on her way to working in non-profits. They still talk to us, so we didn't screw up too bad.
High School sucks for most of us anyway. To cheer him up, have him watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High or Risky Business or any John Hughes film from the Eighties. If he's bashful, you can cover his eyes during the good parts. ;-)

Aw, I hope you guys are able to get everything sorted out and still get your son into a decent school!
GMG
Thanks for the kind words
He is coping really well, but his parents have stress. Which is as it should be. I am certain that he will find his place at his next school, whichever that may be.
As for those movies: he will turn 12 in the summer, might have to wait a couple of years with these ;-)
Mort: There first is a merit based system which leads to the advice for a certain education level (that is pre-discussed with parents). Then you can apply to a school at that education level. If there are more applicants of the same ability than places at that level at the school the lottery is held.
Mort Gloomhollow

Ah then the random acceptance makes sense. By what you linked it looks like there's a chance he can move back into a higher level school if he does well. Your educational system, at least how they describe it in that wiki, seems pretty reasonable. The system in the US isn't that great, it has lots of holes for good students to fall through and of course for rich students to get propped up in. Too many things going on for a good all around system here.
GMG
I think our system works quite well. He will still be educated at the proper level, although not at the school of his first or second choice, he was unlucky.
Gitano Frallino

Interesting link. The Dutch system looks a little bit like the German system. I spent a year at a gymnasium in northern Germany, when I was an exchange student my junior year of high school (a long time ago).
Incidentally, we've visited The Netherlands a few times. I've got relatives in Goes down in Seeland. Unfortunately, we've lost touch over the years.
Beautiful country, friendly people.

Hey guys.
From Saturday 22nd of April, i will be traveling through Japan, returning somewhere on the 13th of May.
There is said to be Wifi in the hotels we'll be staying at, but i can't guarantee a 1 a/day post.
For the games that i GM, this means we'll be on a break during that time.

This lizard-infested tower can't take another nine days of adventurers like us! Maybe we'll complete the mission by April 22.
