Just because you didn't get the pleasure of intercharacter thoughts:

Although Priella's theoretical ideal of the end of the planes and the resurgence of the Maelstrom would in fact come to be if Azrielan met her full goal of destroying everything, she sees it as an ideal and not something that is actually a plausible action. Due to this she would have issues with all of the killing, as it would end so many thoughts and creative potentials and true individuals at the same time that it ended things that actually need to end. She would work with Azrielan if the immediate goal was the right one but would not wish to ally with her on a long term basis unless it was completely necessary.

Checking in to wish everyone good luck, and to ask if Divinity has any last minute questions or concerns I can respond to before selection.

I've been reading through other peoples' relationship stuff and realized I might have not explained Priella's ideals well enough. Out of concern that DM Divinity might misunderstand her as well, I am going to try to clarify in what will probably be way too long a post.

Priella's idea of change for change's sake is not exactly how some people are interpreting it. Yes, her theoretical ideal world is exactly like that of the Proteans, where everyone is free to be what they want at any moment and anything can be mutated on a whim, but as she is a being of the material plane she understands that that isn't viable any more now that the inner and outer planes have come to exist.

What she is about is more fighting things that do not allow change, as these things get in the way of creativity, individuality, growth, etc. She will be equally upset by a nation of extremely strict laws with no room for modification, a town with a strict dress code, a family who tells their son "stop with the bard nonsense we are a wizard family you WILL be a wizard" or even just the guy who always puts the forks in the left side drawer in the kitchen because that's where forks always go. Any one of these is equally wrong in her mind and she will want to "fix" it. One of the things most important to her is stopping oppression or slavery because that takes away peoples' ability to be themselves.

Yes, in her own personal interactions she's quirky and she might get upset if you eat the same meal every evening or if she really feels like your tent needs to face a different direction every night, but she's not one who will change anything and everything just because. If someone approaches her and asks for assistance in a job, as long as that job isn't a mission to protect the status quo because it's the status quo, she'll help and she won't jeopardize your goals.

Hopefully this explains her better. Yes she's about change, but more importantly she's AGAINST things that deny the ability, or the right, of things to change.

Getting close! I don't envy you having to pick between the submissions.

I'm also out of town this weekend. My submission is complete, but if there's any questions or concerns I will be rarely able to check the boards between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening.

On a side note @ GM: My areas of concern changed from Change, Unpredictability, and Whimsy to Change, Unpredictability, and Self Empowerment for your tracker, based on the thoughts in my last post.

@ Everyone: After chatting with someone a bit about putting a previous relationship into our writeups I realized I should put something out for everyone who is working on relationships. (If anyone else wants to add a previous relationship with Priella just PM me, She's content working with almost anyone as long as the task/event doesn't betray her convictions)

Although Priella, in her own personal actions, is very random and will try to change little things just because of her mood or the thought she just had, that level of randomness and chaos is not what she teaches. It's just what she is.

What she, and her followers, really push for is similar to the Protean society, where everyone is allowed to fulfill their desires and be 100% themselves while attempting as much as possible to not infringe on other creatures' ability to do the same. This would be a chaotic society without delving into the chaotic stupid realm. It's more in the concept of chaos in terms of a complex natural system than the concept of complete madness and bedlam if we're using dictionary definitions.

In her mind, if a person or organization's desire IS to infringe on other people's ability to be themselves then they need to have their minds changed. If that isn't possible then they've forfeited their right to their desires and need to be eliminated. Whether this is by her own hand, by revolution, by supporting someone else's actions, or by some random act does not matter.

She's moved more in this direction as I worked on her, as I realized that "change for change's sake" is an outstanding idea, but left as just that it is not conducive to working with a group in an organized game.

This might clarify things a bit for people working on relationship writeups. She's very random on a personal level but not in her overarching goal/mission.

Priella's herald has been added to the profile but here is the information on her if you don't feel like clicking.

Tirfa:
Priella's herald: Tirfa is a huldra who fell in love with an Ulfen warrior and joined him in his travels. As they adventured she began to miss her untamed northern homeland, and when he joined the Ulfen Guard in Taldor she began to resent him for what she felt was an attempt to 'tame' her by bringing her to this awful civilized and ordered place. She smacked her mate into ugliness and left him, headed off to wander this strange land. During her travels she commonly fought against those who attempted to expand the order civilization into the wilds, either by harassing their troopsor by seducing them and attempting to change their ways. During one of her harassment missions she encountered Priella, who was simply traveling through but in the process was wreaking havoc on the same target due to her own desire to keep order from affecting the wild. Tirfa was fascinated by how much more effective Priella was, and began to follow her out of curiosity and eventually joined her out of friendship. Now she travels with Priella, sometimes joining her in her random tasks but just as often acting as a intermediary between Priella and her followers, as Priella herself is sometimes too separated from reality for the average person to be able to understand or deal with directly. Tirfa is a Huldra with class levels in Fey Prankster Bard.

I would just like to point out that the Huldra's tail slap ability has finally allowed me to use the phrase "smacked her mate into ugliness". This is a good day.

@DM Divinity I've thought a lot about the herald, and have several background stories/concepts depending on your ruling involving monster cohorts. As I mentioned in the profile, if I was making the cohort I would consider a Shae, a Huldra, or an Imentesh if allowed, and any of these three would have a very different personality and reason why they would choose to follow her. Obviously if you went with normal races only that would change it as well.

Could I get your thoughts on the monster cohort and what would be allowed? If not, I can always provide you with 4 different writeups for you to use depending on what you choose.

EDIT: I should have refreshed the page before submitting this as it seems you already mostly answered by question when replying to Chapel. I looked at the monster PC rules you gave and as such I'll just modify my question to ask if a Shae or a Huldra are approved monster races and go from there (Huldra seems in line with the already approved races, Shae I'm unsure, and looks like an Imentesh would be a bit too powerful and as such a no-go)

I've never seen a spell like this...
Voidmote
So I can throw out up to 5 missiles, but the duration is one round per level.

Does that mean that I can throw out 5 missiles each round for 14 rounds, or that I can cast it and then at any point in the next 14 rounds throw out missiles up to a max total of 5?

Other similar spells (like Magic Missile) all have a duration of instantaneous. I've never seen one with a duration of rds/lvl

Anyone have thoughts on this?

We are still here. I/We are unsure if during my wanderings there was any interaction with any of the other submissions. If perhaps there was, just let her know and most probably I will agree and add it to our background and relationships as well.

hmmm...was thinking of having Priella talk with random pronouns I/we/she/us/etc but it's actually harder to do than you think. There's an inherent desire to stay with whichever one you start with.

Priella's profile is now ready for final review this weekend. I'm the type to randomly check things from time to time so a spell (and maybe a feat) might change, and I may update relationships or add details to backstory throughout the week but nothing major will be changing at this point.

In case you're wondering what changed, I bought all my major items, changed up my signature item a bit, got a little doll friend, and swapped a lot of spells.

I still might swap a feat or path ability since I just got my hands on the LG book with a bazillion new mythic feats and path abilities and have to go through them all, but if I do it will be something to support what's already in the build and not change her focus or main skillset at all.

@AmnonJust an fyi: Mutually shared hatred for Kytons.

We don't hate the Kytons, they are too far beneath us to warrant hate.

Kytons are pitiful. They profess to change and free people through pain, but their idea of change is itself just an exploration of the single concept that is pain. In their own self-righteous self-delusion, kytons proclaim to be freeing themselves and others by way of agony, when in truth each slice of the blade or tortured scream only tightens their self-applied chains.

We pity them, and want to free them from themselves by removing them from their bodies.

Sorry. Got a bit in character there for a sec

Also - are we using occult skill unlocks?

Weird situation: I decided that Priella wanted darkvision, but the only item that grants it as continuous effect has opaque lenses and she wouldn't be able to show off her pretty always-changing eyes. Due to that I bought her a scroll of darkvision and a scroll of permanency (including the reagant price)

By the rules, she needs to use UMD for them both since they aren't oracle spells.
Darkvision = Lvl2 (CL3) needs UMD of 23 to emulate class feature
Permanency = Lvl5 (CL7) needs UMD of 27 to emulate class feature

Priella has a UMD of +18, so either is doable, and a failed roll doesn't use up the scroll. Worst case scenario is a natural 1 which means she can't try again for 24 hours.

Therefore they are both pretty much automatic, the only variables are how long it takes, and that if I were to get a nat 1 on the Permanency (or fail 1080 times in a row) she would have to buy a 2nd Darkvision, as the spell would expire before the 24 hours were up.

To make this easy I'd like to do it during character creation. If allowed, the rolls are here:

Rolls:

UMD vs DC23: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (9) + 18 = 27 - successful Darkvision (3 hr duration)
UMD vs DC27: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26 - failed Permanency (1 round wasted)
UMD vs DC27: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26 - failed Permanency (2 rounds now wasted)
UMD vs DC27: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20 - failed Permanency (3 rounds now wasted)
UMD vs DC27: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30 - successful Permanency.

If you'd prefer I wait until gameplay (if selected) to do rolls that's cool too.

Plane shift is an important spell to have in this campaign.

I've already swapped the spell. If I end up in the campaign Priella will able to bring along up to 8 people :D

The more reading I'm doing, and the more I tweak Priella's relationship list, the more interested I am becoming in Maelstrom and the Proteans than I am in other outsiders.

She's definitely already becoming a different character than she was when I started. I'm not sure when her paranoia came about but now it's a strong part of her personality, and now she's contemplating swapping out a spell for Plane Shift in order to take excursions to the Maelstrom herself to parley with the Imentesh. This is especially true now that I've discovered the Old Gods actually live on the material plane (I didn't realize "the dark tapestry" was part of the material plane until today)

If anything I'd be more apt to work with the GM to add some of the proteans to my list for Planar Ally. Not only aren't they on there, there is only one CN critter on the whole list and it's from the plane of water. There are absolutely none from any plane that Priella might associate herself with philosophically.

EDIT: Not sure why I keep going back over spells known and such. I should probably wait until I find out if I'm even selected and THEN see what changes I might want to make.

That's a thought, but I'd be more interested in a permanent (as long as I took good care of it) friend to chat with as opposed to bound creatures that don't like me and who get a save every day to be allowed to escape....

OK Priella has her signature item. It started off by taking the Ring of Mind Shielding and adding a continuous Pass Without Trace (total cost 22k), called a Shrouding Band. Since she obtained it, Priella took Legendary Item twice including the Intelligent ability 4 times, Undetectable, and Eternal Bond so NOW:

Chloe, the Shrouding Band:

Chloe started off life as a Shrouding Band (Ring of Mind Shielding with an additional continuous Pass Without Trace effect). Since ascending to artifact status, she prefers to be called Chloe and has the following statistics/abilities:

INT 20 / WIS 16 / CHA 18 / Ego of 21 (25 if dealing with a non-mythic creature)
- Speaks Common, Protean, Aklo, Abyssal, Celestial, and Infernal
- Has senses with range of 30'
- The wearer is continually immune to detect thoughts, discern lies, any attempt to magically discern her alignment, and does not leave footprints or a scent trail while moving. Tracking her is impossible by non-magical means (original item)
- Difficult to Destroy: Cannot be destroyed by normal means
- Legendary Surge (2/day): add 1d8 to any saving throw
- Eternal Bond: Cannot be bonded to another creature as long as Priella is alive and mythic, if bond is broken, it will immediately resume once Priella is returned to life or mythic status
- Undetectable: Grants Priella the ability to become utterly undetectable while invisible, unable to be detected or scryed by any method
- Intelligent (telepathy): Can hold private mental conversations with Priella as long as they are in physical contact
- Intelligent (Spellcasting x3): Can activate the following spells as spell-like abilities at a CL12:
Disguise Self 3/day
Invisibility 3/day
Detect Scrying 1/day
Mage's Private Sanctum 1/day

Chloe shares Priella's paranoia of being tracked or watched by the Old Gods. She is suspicious of anyone acting strangely and will keep Detect Scrying up constantly (1/day with 24 hour duration). Although her other SLAs are usually as directed by Priella, if Chloe detects that someone is scrying on them she will immediately cast Invisibility on Priella and then Disguise Self immediately before the Invisibility wears off in order to protect Priella from being potentially found by the alien entities they both fear.

I know that it might not have been the most "mechanically efficient" thing to use 1/3 of my mythic path abilities on a legendary item, but Chloe seems very flavorful and adds a lot to the character so I'm going with it.

I'm half tempted to "waste" 10k of my starting gold on buying a kitten and using an item to awaken it just so I have a second friend to travel with. I just have to figure out how to keep it from aging so it always remains a kitten and never a cat... Min-maxing be damned you gotta add that flavor.

Well...I realized looking back at my crunch that the spells and SLAs I gain through Divine Source are the same spells that were on my as yet unnamed signature item, so that's kinda redundant.

If you are auditing my crunch pls just ignore the item. It will be something completely new and different soon, just not gonna rush the though process since we still have a week.

Speaking of full statblocks...DONE!!!...everything requested so far is in the very long and spoiler-filled profile. I'm just missing gear, and a fancy name and description for my signature item (it's basic building blocks are listed)

There were some additional updates to things like domains, personality, goals, and ascension story, as while I built her I got to know her a bit better.

Also I put a little info about desired herald in the cult section for GM use.

EDIT: Additional information in terms of relationships...Priella is so used to being pushed by patrons, elder gods, and spirits that she is not at all adverse to being used as a tool by other demigods, gods, or even mortals. If your goal is some form of change and you won't try to restrict or restrain her random nature, she would be more than happy to ally with anyone to help them meet their goals.

She might take you on an odd route to your destination though. To quote Yoshihiro Togashi, "You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest. Because that's where you'll find the things more important than what you want."

As we are all adding in our thoughts about and relationships with each other, I want to notify you all of a slight change in Priella's attitude and ascendancy. I wanted to get this posted in case it changes how any of you might view her in the relationship section of the submission.

Priella, as an oracle of the old gods, channeled the void and the elder gods/great old ones' desires for change and entropy, reveling in the power to affect the world around her through randomness and even madness. As she grew in power she understood more of what they represented and did not agree with the other side of the coin, specifically the alien evil and penchant for wanton destruction that they desire.

When she realized that their goals and intellects were so different from anything understood on the spectrum of known planes, she knew that she could not keep their wills at bay forever. She was too addicted to the power that came from their influence, so instead of trying to close the connection she looked for a way to mitigate it. She took up studies in the occult and invited spirits to also channel their power through her, but unlike most mediums and spiritualists, she did not try to control these spirits. She felt that if there were multiple entities inside her fighting the urge for wanton destruction and evil that it would be easier to keep it at bay.

To this end, she began to randomize her actions as much as possible, and allowed the spirits free rein to channel through her at their will as opposed to hers. This combination of randomness and multiple wills served to allow her to suppress the alien evil that had permeated her being, but at the same time caused her to lose her autonomy as a single entity.

Now she travels the material plane as a catalyst of change. What remains of Priella's will still maintains a balance between good and evil, but the rest of her is lost in the multitude of personalities and urges that share her physical form. This loss of a concrete single will has caused her to transcend normal mortal limitations and become a true avatar of chaos, material change, and the randomness that exists between the stars, always pushing to make the world different and interesting while still maintaining balance between the extremes of 'good' and 'evil'.

(mechanically, I plan to actually roll each day to randomize which spirit I channel, so her abilities will be slightly different from day to day, and I have taken as many spells and revelations with random effects as possible to provide randomness while still being able to let the core original Priella stay on mission as much as possible)

Priella wholeheartedly endorses your goal to throw yourself to the winds of change. This makes her very happy.

Honestly though, good luck in whatever your endeavors are this week, and don't bother looking at this profile it's only halfway completed. I just couldn't resist posting after the way you phrased that. XD

Well I'm retarded. I just made up my mutagen profile, and while copying it over from HL I noticed that this whole time I've had Caro's perception in both her profile and in her title statblock as +1 this whole game.... when it's actually +5.

Now I'll be able to notice things more gooder!!!
