Ok, then, while not as flashy as most of these, here's a reasonable rendition of Valthrik
Ok, we've got some time to kill while we wait for characters to get chosen. Question: What's your FAVORITE Western movie? I'll go first. Sometimes I think it's Tombstone...because frankly, that's an amazing flick that I really love. BUT, my all time favorite is Silverado. The cast is amazing. Brian Dennehey. Danny Glover. Scott Glenn. Jeff Goldblum. Kevin Kline. A young Kevin Costner. The story is fantastic and epic. Love that movie.
Welcome, everyone! After a good deal of thought (and time, sorry 'bout that) I have decided to treat this game the way I would if I were running it for tabletop. That is, I'm going to take more players than I had originally planned, because the submissions and their potential interactions were just too good to pass on. So, what does this mean for you guys? With this many of you, the game will, right out of the box, likely be a bit rougher than it's written, but that just makes it more unique and (hopefully) fun for everyone! Besides, who runs modules As-Is, anyway? ;) While there definitely is a linear story here, I've always been a fan of games that more of a sandbox kind-of-feel, anyways. With seven of you, I'm hoping that:
For right now, I'd like to have everyone check in, say Hi, and give a brief description of your character and some basics that would become apparent to the rest of the characters after a few days of traveling together by wagon. From the "Player's Guide":
The actual game will start sometime this weekend, or on Monday(for anyone who can't post on Saturdays and Sundays). The characters will not quite have reached Belhaim, and will have a day or two of travel in which to interact. In any event, Welcome, and thanks for your interest in what I hope will be an amazing campaign.
Who wants to fight a Dragon?! Founded by a famous dragonslayer, the small town of Belhaim has become a sleepy rural community just off the beaten path, a settlement where everyone knows everyone and strangers are the talk of the town. But when Belhaim's peace and quiet is shattered by the sudden collapse of the last standing tower of its founder's castle, things quickly bloom out of control. Why were there bodies of kobolds amid the rubble? What's the sinister secret behind the strange sounds of flapping wings in the night? And what's happened to local wizard Balthus Hunclay, who's not answering knocks on his door? The collapsed tower had long been an eyesore to the cantankerous old man—could he have had something to do with its destruction? And what of the rumors of strange stirrings in nearby Dragonfen? Has Belhaim's ancient draconic nemesis returned? The Dragon's Demand, a dungeon and wilderness adventure for 1st-level characters written by Mike Shel, was released in July 2013. This adventure marked a relaunch of the Pathfinder Modules line, offering an increased page count and a two-sided color poster map, and shifting to a quarterly release schedule. _________________________________________________ Dragon’s Demand Player’s Guide

Interested in this quirky looking AP. Haven't played 2e but would like to do so. Question about PbP expectations #9:

Not an objection or arguement, merely a question: It's an interesting idea, letting other characters, rather than the GM, to bot missing chars. How has this worked out in practice? |
