Slipping around the pylon for a clear shot at Red, Nikko pulls the trigger twice on their laser rifle.

Theo taps their own set of Clearsight Goggle.

"Pretty cool specs - let's you see thru smoke & vegetation."

They collect the batteries but are happy to hand them off to those in need.

"We probably should collect all the portable things. You never know when they'll come in handy."

Hopefully Twila-5 didn't forget the benefits of Cavaler's Get'Em.

While moving for a clear shot, Nikko drops their rifle to fall on its sling while drawing a Statric Arc pistol.

Nikko uses Shaq as cover to pause to rummage around in their carryall.

The Thermal Capacitor on Nikko's armor negates 5 fire & cold damage per instance. I'll still roll to see if it gets extinguished.

Nikko rushes past Datch to draw a clearer bead on the Red agent.

Nikko tries dipping into his knowledge of Physical Science.

Apparently, he knows next to nothing about this situation.

Note that the tier 8 Pegasus has advanced long-range sensors (+4 tp Computers checks), plus a Mk3 duo-node computer. Net +7 to your Physical Science check

Nikko likely had a gunner's seat, so no way for them to assist Twila's check.

Nikko shrugs.
"So - typical Thursday?"

A brindled pahtra dressed in light armor wanders into the room, chatting furiously on their comlink in what appears to be an animated group chat.

"No, you add the cream AFTER you've taken the sauce off the heat. You don't want it to be boiling as you fold it into the sauce - that'll just ruin the texture, killing the subtle creamy flavors."

A few responses later, they look around where their wanderings have brought them & end their group call with a "Sorry - gotta go - Mission briefing. Maybe it's that briefing? Won't know until the VC spills the deets. NO SPOILERS! Hanging up now - b'bye."

"Sorry about that - family drama. Nessus always wants to give me advice just because she's read the mission briefs in the archives. I think that she's just trying to show off. Family, I'm Nikko 5th of 9. Does anyone know what's up with the mission?"

Were there any significant changes between the scenario that you turned in & the one that became the final product?

Waffling between a Soldier 5 (for the low subtier) or an Operative 6 (for the higher one)

The dog-like creatures are Tashtaris, wild animals also called 'laser wolves'. They'd belong out in the wild, and would probably be quite unhappy on Absalom station ;-).

Given that, Nikko moves the beasts (live & dead) outside, away from the vehicles.

Unless some info crops up leading Nikko to believe that the hound is a wild beast instead of a ped, they intend to transport it back (under sedation) I don't think that I saw a response to the post-combat Life Science check to make that determination

"Once we head back, I've got some new recipes I'm considering. Are any of you up for trying some experimental dishes?"
