Sorry for not having posted in a while, but RL things have kept me very busy.

Sadly, there's no hope on the horizon, so I think I have to step out for a long while.

Good luck to everyone and I'll be keeping an eye on (how are you going to be horribly slaughtered) your adventures delving into Rappan Athuk!

As for the uncertainty of my ability to keep up with the campaign's pace, maybe (if the GM allows it) I can come back once I have enough time to be a regular poster.

And quoting Argrim:

Nibb will hold on in the rear, since he is too far from the action to be of any help.

And let's face it, he is no warrrior. He would evade unnecesary danger if possible.

At least, he can keep watching from ambushes in the rear, but nothing more... for now.

EDIT: I was hoping there was another dwarf to add to the crew. The ones who are here actually are very fun. :)

Assuming that Nibb is in melee range from Rammellorn...

Nibb use a charge of the CLW wand on Rammellorn, hoping to heal the arrow wound.

Whisphered:"For now, Brother Karnog is right. Is better if we do a slight tactical retreat..."

Nibb moves (to W-12) and then cast Message, linking Rammellorn and Karnog:

Whisphered:"What happen? Can't you just push those barrels to fall over those nasty critters?"

Recently, the office's PC were changed and presented serious problems. Likewise, my own PC was in maintenance so I couldn't see the maps for some weird reason.

Now I can see the maps from my home, but still get blocked by office's restrictions (a.k.a. Fortiguard).

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

Sorry about not posting early, but until now I had some problems opening the map's link, so I don't know were was Nibb and pretty much the battle situation.

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

Standing behind Argrim, Nibb uses the magic wand, and channel the healing magic toward the battered dwarf.

"There you go!"

And then, he would look up for any enemies ahead.

Argrim, which is the CL for the wand?

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

"Mister Argrim, hand over the wand to me! Maybe I can help you with it."

Can Nibb use the wand of CLW without the UMD check, since he already knows the spell?

Hey, sorry I haven't been posting for a while. I'm still on, but cool real life stuff means not a lot of time for PbP right now. I'm not dropping out by any means, just wanted to reassure everyone that I'm still here.

These look like earlier expeditions into the crevice to your eye.

Can he use Sift to look through the crevice?

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

"Wait. Maybe that crevice could lead us further into the caves... a shortcut, perhaps?"

Then Nibb lean over the crevice, eager to take a look.

I would take 20 if posible. If not, here is my:

Nibb put the Everfull Mug again into the haversack (a move or standar action?). Takes a few steps, trying to leave the mimic long arm's reach (a 5-feet step towards Rammellorn)

"I beg your pardon, Mr. Rammellorn."

and then he draws his crossbow again with his remaining action for the round, aiming at the mimic.

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

Nibb focuses again and unleash another powerful magical screech at the mimic.

Casting Ear-Piercing Scream again.

DC=14

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

Nibb make a brief sniffs briefly the Everfull Mug content, and then shook his head.

This is not strong enough. And until the other dwarves come, I think it's up to us helping out mister Argrim...

He makes a quick move (5-feet step to W-20) to have a better angle of the overall situation, and then, focusing the power of his voice through his magic, Nibb release a powerful screech... but the only one able to hear it is the mimic, like it is said occurs on the interior of the dreaded Dark Towers of Tar-Baphon.

Casting Ear-Piercing Scream on the mimic with the standard action. Here is the damage:
Damage:2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 (I'm not really sure if right now the damage is 1d6 or 2d6...)
And the mimic must make a Fortitude save.

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

Good luck to you, Varl.

Male Gnome Bard (Archaeologist) 3 | AC 17/13/15 | Fort+3, Ref+4, Will+5 | Init.+5 | Perception+10 | HP: 25/25 | CMB+1/CMD 12 |

Nibb proceeds to put away his crossbow (with his standard action), while mumbling to himself. Then he yells at Kalim.

"Human, your lightning magic won't do much against that mimic! It seems he has some magical protection against electricity!"

Later, he gasps at the sight of the grappled dwarf.

Dwarven:
"Mister Argrim, be careful! The mimic can release you from the glue at any time and you would fall in. I-I-I'm going to help you!"

Then, he draws his Everfull Mug from the haversack (with the move action) and keeps mumbling.

To baldwin: Nibb's daring thoughts:
A couple questions:
Is the liquor from the Everfull Mug strong enough to dissolve the adhesive?
Can I, in later turns, ready an action to jump over and somehow push Argrim and myself (of course) away from the crevasse in case the mimic decides to leave him fall?
Tell me if I need to make some Knowledge check to find out.

"Stand back! That thing is a mimic, a shape-shifting aberration. If you touch it, you would be glued to it by that ichor that emanates from the cover... as Mister Argrim."

Seriously...you have no in game reason to expect that. Certainly not without knowledge dungeoneering check before making the comment. Let's try to keep the the metagaming to a minimum.

"Mister Argrim is right. But we should check that chest anyway, since it can provide us clues about the captives or equipment we could use afterwards.

If I remember correctly, down the southern tunnel should be something like a wooden bridge. Past that, is where the children and other prisoners are supposedly held."

Then, Nibb is going to check the source and nature of the howling I assume it comes from the chest.

Nibb cast Message with Kalim, in order to sneak up.

"Listen, human. It seems we have found the kidnapped children. My magical sensors can't detect creatures, but it seems some captives are held here. I suggest you to proceed with caution."

Then, he will walk slowly up to half his speed trying to observe the surroundings, using Kalim's torch-light.

And then he will move forward, careful to not trigger any traps, and draws his crossbow.

With that free-action-speech, I think Nibb doesn't have any more actions left for the turn. If he still have any (super fast talker) action left, he would use Perception to take a look at the would-be battlefield.
