Hrmm this has kind of died. Though I'd love to see where this is going, and GM Starson, if you're interested I could take over as GM and you could just be a player instead? We could keep nerrot around as an GMNPC or have someone else run him if they prefer. We should probably still recruit for one or two new people, but any ideas on whether people could get credit if they join in at this point?

Nerrot gives a few mumbles and taps everyone on the back, chanting a few words in draconic before they jump into the water. "Now, dere, we shouldn't 'Ave too much difficut'es breadin' down dere. Make sure ya stay close ta me or Kanpo, dough. It only lasts a min or so!"

He then takes a few small things out of his waterproof bag, tosses Kanpo to Chef, and jumps into the water.

Yup, it's pretty undefined but it should work on others. Not sure if he's allowed to have two instances of it running but otherwise he has you covered!

I'm not sure if I'm down for the third part after finishing this part, but I do want to get this one finished. My posting and wont to get on the boards outside of work hours has been rather terrible so I'm not sure if I can commit to another section.

Also Nerrot has the waterbreathing hex, so no worries about drowning!

Hey peoples! I'm going traveling for two weeks from tomorrow morning. I can post from my phone but only when I have wifi. I am going to try posting regularly, but feel free to bot me as needed, especially this coming weekend as I won't have wifi for 4 days or so! Sorry for the late notice, I've been scrambling to get ready and not using my computer.

Nerrot climbs up to the corws nest and uses the ship's spyglass to watch te retreating dragon. Once Kelizar has left sight of the ship, he scrambles back down and lets Ivan and the real captain know that the coast is clear.

As he watches Ivan move towards the cider, Nerrot moves in closer and tries to take the cup from his hands, explaining, "Before you get your all ready addled brain even more rattled, let's get a plan of action together. Drinking can wait."

CMB: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
I was not execting to be able to make that!

Carrying the cup to where everyone else has gathered, Nerrot fills Ivan and the Captain in on what happened. "... and now we need to go find these 'fish folk' and 'send a message' before we can do any salvage operations. So, any ideas who these fish folk are and where we might find them?"

Cowernig at the mighty display of power, Nerrot slinks up to the now out Ivan and drags him down below decks before performing a slight hex on the man and trying to bring him back to consciousness.

He then clamps a hand over Ivan's mouth lest he make a noise and hisses at him, "Stay 'ere'n' for the love of de gods, STAY QUIET!" The little man then slinks back above decks and smiles his best trying to recall what history he'd learned about the nobles in Taldan.

Nerrot tries to not sigh too openly about the extravagant extras that his companions add to their outfits. He tries to continue in his noble Taldan accent, he first turns to Yvonne, "Why how gracious of you, your electric fulmination majesty."

He then turns to Ivan, rying not to twitch his eyes too much, " Uhhh... Indubitubly it... does my dear Ivan." He then graces Korskadai with his attention, "He might regretably have to stay aboard, but this veritable treasure trove has a saddle that is not too anachronistic and could be modified to fit."

Nerrot nods along with the captain's words, mentally imagining a dragon dressd up in Taldan livery. He snaps back to attention at the unveiling of the clothes before his face turns into a looked of horror. "Uh, Not sure how'a break dis'a ya, Cap'n, but mos' of dis would be burned a'de border if ya tried 'akin'it in'a Taldor! Dough some of dis is workable! Lucki'y me family wen'a Taldor a few times before'n... well... Oh looksie here! Dis'd be great for Ivan, wid all dese shiny buttons!"

He dives into the selection and comes up with a few choice pieces for everyone. He digs out a white naval officer's uniform for Yvonne, and a dark blue one denoting the head artillerist for Ivan. For Chef he pulls out a proper chef's outfit, extra large hat included. He ponders a second or two over what to give Corskadai, before coming up with an approximation of a petty officer's outfit. For himself he selects a uniform denoting a fleet magic caster.

Disguise? to Fake an Accent: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

He cleaers his throat a few times, and then starts in a moderate approximation of a posh Noble Tadan's accent, "I regrettably could not find outfits from the same time period for everyone, but the variance shouldn't be to glaring! Also how's my accent?"

Finding the whole "Lightning Queen" title a hoot, Nerrot takes every chance he can to call Yvonne by it, and occasionally when he gets too far into his cups, conjures up an Aggressive Tundercloud a 5 feet over her head and makes it follow her around, taking advantage of the distraction to take out a formerly-Mindy bullet that he'd snitched from Ivan and look at it in peace.

A small, and to be perfectly honest, rather dirty halfling wanders onto the deck and stops in his tracks, his eyes widening over the dinosaur on deck. He turns around and rushes back into the hold for a second before climbing back out with an eight legged hairless bear looking thing. He holds it up and points out the dinosaur. "'ook, Kanpo! Hey everyone! Sorry for the disappearance, went through a move at the begining of the month and with the loss of internet at home and crazy work schedule (and guilt of not posting for a while) I couldn't get something posted.

I'm going to try being better about posting when I'm busy, and have had quite a few games finish up so posting from a very slow phone connection at home won't be a major pain in the neck! However, If you don't want to keep Nerrot, I can understand. Sorry for the disapperance and thanks for any patience!

Sorry about the lack of posts. Still not sure what actions things will take, but I'll take a stab at it anyways:

Nerrot gives a look at the woman overboard and shouts to the crew and people on deck. "WOMAN OVERBAORD! I'M GOIN' IN AFTER 'ER!"

He then sets up waterlung on himself jumps over the edge of the boat and tries to swim after Yvvone. He tries to dive after her and catch sight of her and set up waterlung on her.

Swim: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

He once he has that set up, he tries to swim down and reach the sinking woman and put a healing hex on her.

Swim: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Healing Hex: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 6) + 5 = 18

I also realized that the flight hex allows Nerrot to use Feather Fall at will, and doesn't seem to limit it to caster only.

Well if we are using other bodies to break falls then Nerrot is more than happy to be underneath Mort! ;P

Nerrot flinches and closes his eyes as the massive thunderbolt comes arcing out of the clouds. He takes a moment to let his vision return and trying getting some hearing back, but the bliss of the moment is cut short by the realization that Mort and Yvonne have both taken a direct hit from the bolt and are urtling to the deck. He springs into action and is gald to see that Lorq is trying to push Yvonne out to sea and gives a small wish that she doesn't drown before diving under where he'd expect Mort to land, screaming above the wind, waves, and overall ringing DIN in his ears. Nerrot, glad he put Kanpo down below, gives his all to just ride out the winds. Grinning like a mad man he starts singing sea shanties in a voice that could just be the wind distorting the sound or could just be flat out terrible.

As the purple lightening being strikes the main mast, Nerrot stops his so-out-of-tune-you-could-barely-call-it-one tune and perks up.

He gives a small gush of cooing at the little purple ball, "Aww, It's a wittle Com'zant W'rd!" He then glances at Mort'n'Mindy and shouts above the winds. "MORT! Put Min'y back in 'er 'ome! It's just a wittle baby! Not e'eryone wants ta tangle wid ya wife!"

He then tries to get everyone near by together, "'k, the com'zant ain't in'erently 'ostile or e'il, but 'e's still 'ery young an' needs ta be 'andled wid care! Anyone speak Auran? I ain't never been trained in it so I mightn't be able to communicate."

Nerrot gets pissed on the mead and beer and starts complaining loudly how he had to get the leg almost completely on his own, though it's clearly he's mostly just joking about it in an attempt to get a reponse out of the others.

Lower the sails men! A storm is incoming, Quick! It's going to be a nasty one, I can feel it! Within the hour at best!

Nerrot perks up at the captain's shout after, and stops scramling around on the rigging. "Wait, 'Lower'? Sh'ldn't we be raisin' da sails an' batonin' down stuff 'r are ya wantin' ta out ran da st'rm?"

The halfling takes a moment to make sure that Kanpo gets below decks safely and another to tie some rope around his hat before he starts scrabbling to make sure all of the rigging and things above decks are set to weather the storm just in case. As the inclement weather starts to bear down, he strips of all but the minimum of clothing and gear and ties himself a safety line to the main mast, excited to try braving the storm above decks!

Able to move twice as fast as everyone else, Nerrot quickly flies back to the ship and hands off the leg to the captain, before lounging on the bulkward waiting for everyone else to catch up. He gives them a wave as they get closer. "OI, dere ya slow pokes are! I dought ya mighta drown'd dere far a sec! 'Ere let me 'elp ya up." He then tosses a rope ladder over the side and helps haul people up laughing at how sopping wet they are.

"Lorq, ya look like a drown'd rat! ye best get dried off dere!" Nerrot gives Mort a smile at the offer of a drink. "Ooooh dat's music ta my ears! Let's get pissed and dine on crab!"

Nerrot having gotten lost in laughter over the positively terrible swimming he'd witnessed wipes the tears from his eyes and re orients himself with the surface of the water. "Dat's it! Ya guys are gettin' swimmin' lessons afta dis! Geeze, Lorq, w'at were ya doin'? Immitatin' a rock?"

Nerrot turns to the leg and gives it a good tug.

Hey everyone,
You might have noticed I haven’t posted in a long while (okay it’s only been two weeks at most but in PBP time that can still be a while.) I didn’t have an amazing and earth shattering emergency or reason for not posting, which would have made this easier to post. Life just got… busy and stressful.

I knew some stress would be coming and that I might be a bit busy, but things well exceeded what I thought. At first I was just busy (and to be honest, a little lazy) and didn’t post for a day or two, but things starting snowballing and I soon realized I hadn’t posted for days and needed to post something longer and more explanatory than a quick apology, but I didn’t have the time, motivation, or emotional fortitude.

One thing I sometimes do when stressed is become avoidant of some things, especially things that are emotionally charged. Last week was one of the most emotionally draining weeks I have had in a long time. Monday started with seeing a friend of four years off because she has stage four cancer and had to go back to the UK. I had to say goodbye to students and teachers I have taught/worked with for years (which can happen any year but was harder than usual this year.) Having to say goodbye to people is something I handle terribly and I was often going home drained and not wanting to do anything or just wanting to sleep. Additionally, the longer I went without posting here the guiltier I felt about it, which made me want to push this off further.

I shouldn’t have stopped posting here and I am truly sorry if I have made anyone wait, slowed down games at all, or have caused you any worry. I am physically okay, and will be emotionally okay, and work has slowed down some (next week might pick up a little but nowhere near what it was.)

I'm invested in this game and want to see it to the end, and Nerrot has been one of my favorite characters to play a times. If it's okay with everyone I would love to continue playing him, but would understand if people have any objections to that.

Sorry if you have/had to read this a few times, I’m posting it in all of the games I am in currently.

that being said I've left some botting instructions in my profile and hopefully wont be sidelined for more than a day or 2!

Awww that's great news!

Nerrot stares down at the crabs below and decides that maybe he should help them. "Anyb'dy dyin'? Nah? Good! 'ere just be careful o' t'is will ya!"

He then starts an arcane chant and points at the open spot on the boat calling a giant roiling lightening cloud into existence where Yvonne was standing.

Just a signal boost for these questions, cause they might have been missed. Though if everyone keeps fleeing like this I can probably put a lightning cloud on the crabbies.

And here I thought I was going to be taking something to the face! Lol. Thanks for the bot, thought whatever was going to happen would start sooner.

Nerrot gives a snicker as the boat gets attacked. His snicker deepens into a full bellyache at Mort's joke, causing him to tumble in place for a second. Wiping a few small tears from his eyes he gives the situation a good look over and seems unsure of what should take precedence right now. "Ya guys 'kay ova t'ere? Seems Ivan brought back some unexpected guests!"

Nerrot gives a look up at the leg and the man it's still attached to and decides that he'd have to go it without any protections. He pulls out a wand and sets up a shimmering field of magic around himself before he kicks off from the boat and flies up towards the body. "Swear, ya guys, i'ma comin' rig't back down if'n anyt'in' attacks me!"

Standard to set up mage armor, move to fly 60' feet.

Nerrot gives a smile at the two speaking elvish at him as he jumps into the row boat as fast as he can. Inside the boat he sticks his tounge out at the big man and then comments something with Mort's name in elvish.

Elvish:
"Temper and an ass! Seems to describe Mort to a T!"

Out in the middle of the lake, Nerrot gives Yvonne a perturped and perplexed look. She'd seemed to ignore everything he'd been saying before, though if Chef was right maybe she didn't understand him... If that was the case then maybe...

Giving her a flat look in the eyes he comments in a variety of different languages in a near perfect upper class accent, changing languages as soon as he realizes she can't understand him.

Elvish, Halfling, Aquan, Dwarven, Gnome, Goblin, Celestial, Infernal, or Ignan:
Hellloooooo? Can you understand me now? If you've got any spells that might protect me while I'm all alone it'd be nice to have..."

I think I had mentioned this before, but Nerrot knows a near metric ton of languages (for not being a gnome or built for it of course) So this struck me as very fitting!

Nerrot gives a huff over the accent converstaion and instead fixes Lorq with a knowing look and states something in precise Kyonin-noble elvish. He gives Mort a slightly disdaining look up and down before continuing in a impish tone.

elvish:

"Meh, if they can't understand us any ways might as well play around with them! Wonder how long we can make Mort think we're joking about him. Want to give it a try?"

Nerrot then nods in response to Lorq's question in Taldane. "Yeppers! Prolly me gettin' s'ipped out an flyin' in nice'n'close would be best! T'oug' bein' invisible or hidden in a cloud o'lightenin' would be nice!"
Yvonne, would you mind possibly casting invisibility or Resist Energy on Nerrot? He could then fly up to the leg without worry of something attacking him while he's all on his lonesome.

Ah Is it too hard to parse? If need be I can really cut that down. I've been trying to find a good way of expressing the heavy accent he has in my head, but I understand it can be very hard to read things like that sometimes!

Nerrot glares at Chef, somewhat comically for his 4 foot stature. "Oi, I speakin' Taldan, same as yous! Rude!"
