Ah, I see you've borrowed Lexi's background template. I like it in the sense that it gives a feel for who your character might be, as well as getting the feeling of them having an established life - contacts and a home and so on.

As to where you're from and where you're going, I'd suggest that having your own place in Korvosa or Skelt would make sense. They are both good-sized trading areas. It's also possible that some of the ruins in the Thornewastes may provide some of the artifacts that you'd be searching out.

I actually got it from this thread: The Ten-Minute Background

It didn't take me ten minutes. Usually takes me a few hours.

Dotting, will have a character together today.

I'm still waiting on someone to dump unconventionally.

Where is the CON dump? or the STR dump? or the DEX dump?!?!

Feh. powergamers, the lot of you :P

I thought we had to keep the stats where they were. Like your first roll is your strength, etc. I just got lucky rolls.

I should let you know, in case it's not in the character sheet, that Odaecia is a Barbarian (Sea Reaver), specifically.

Woo! First game I've gotten into! Thank you, and I look forward to playing with everyone.

Rolling the dice, seeing what happens.
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 2) = 20=18
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 4) = 21=17
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4, 1) = 14=13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6, 5) = 20=16
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 5) = 16=14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 2) = 12=11

EDIT: Wow. 'Dem rolls. Technically a 49-Point Buy.

HP:
1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8
1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9
1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8
1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9

EDIT: Thanks, Padawan. The force is strong with you.

Dotting for interest. What would the constraints of the setting be (high magic, low magic, no guns, emerging guns, ALL THE GUNS!)?

Teagan Payne:
Teagan worked as a demolitions expert in the shadow of the Hungry Mountains. When one of his explosions caved in the mine they were working, killing the miners inside. Eventually, this drove him mad with guilt, attempting for years to atone for his mistake. However, along the way, something snapped. He began to believe that sabotage and destruction were the only thing absolutely certain about life—why not make it profitable? Teagan would detonate his bombs in mines and condemned buildings across Ustalav, as well as against marauding creatures that wandered too close to town. Taking jobs of dealing with monsters and destroying unwanted buildings led him to eventually perfecting his craft, and wanting to create stronger, more destructive bombs.

Eventually Teagan “The Vermin Exterminator” became a feared name among the goblins, kobolds, and other creatures of Ustalav, while Teagan’s coffers filled more and more. Instead of killing the kobolds, why not just blow up their access to the outside world? Sabotaging the most unsavory caverns and improvised fortresses became his specialty, when eventually he came across a job offer from a mysterious stranger to do some digging (and possibly destroying), and some research on a chemical known as “middenstone,” possibly the missing ingredient for a riot control formula Teagan wants to perfect.

I'm finishing my character sheet now. It's taking much longer than I anticipated. I submitted it, then got signed out.

I know it's kind of late, but I'm going to drum up a character. I'm thinking a gnome alchemist bomber with a reckless streak. Blowing things up for him is a fun time. It'll be done within the next three hours. Would a Grenadier Archetype be acceptable?

Dotting with dice rolls.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 6) = 16=14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 4) = 19=15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 1) = 10=9
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 5) = 18=15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2, 5) = 15=13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 4) = 13=11

Now to come up with a concept. Maybe a half-orc bard.

Best of luck, and have fun!

Dotting for interest. :) I'll drum up something in the next hour or so.

OK, cool, thanks. :)

Would there be anything you'd suggest for Nexi's submission that might get past submission? Even if it's not for this particular campaign, then for future reference? I'm new to the play-by-post scene, and the groups I run with are usually 40% Role-Playing and 60% combat.

Thanks!

Question before I commit to stats. If I made a druid, could I have a treant sapling companion instead of the normal options?

I'm thinking of playing a Half-Orc Druid, but let's see what my rolls look like.
STR: 8 (Foible)
DEX: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
CON: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 +2 (racial) = 14
INT: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
WIS: 18 (Focus)
CHA: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
