"However, I will do what the party decides, as the worst case is to join my forefathers in glory. If we attack, just let me know when you are ready, and I will send in Mr. Stinky and attack." Mazrak shrugs again.

But you are the GM. Your call. I likely should have made Mazrak a true Neutral instead of NG. However, all he does is for goodness sake.

I have always thrown wrenches into the gaming system. Explore the possibilities, a good Hill Giant Bard, a good Goblin Thief, etc. that may be members of a party. A good use to an evil spell.

Mazrak will call out in Giant at the Zombie, "Turn around and come back." He will then hesitate to allow someone to listen at the door before commanding the Zombie, " Open this door." Mazrak will points to the door with the red splash. He then takes a step back.

Mazrak would have held off using the Animate Dead until everyone responded, but things moved on anyway.

As to talking to the Orc, how long would it take to ask how many Giants are down this hallway.

Mazrak gets these abilities through his Mystery of Bones. Its an Oracle thing. It makes up a little for not having Channel Energy. His speaking with the dead has been helpful too.

But the issues of this is why Mazrak asked for permission. The Dead are dead, and not in and of itself evil. Mazrak uses the dead for good purposes, and only good purposes. How is using a dead formerly evil Hill Giant evil if it is used to destroy other evil? Is it the road to hell? That is for a higher power and for another time.

Plus, it always makes for interesting roll playing. I had the NPC Droja in a campaign that Chill played in. It was fun and interesting playing this Mystery of Bones Oracle.

By the way, have we lost Eldric?

Eldric and Jeeves both have rounds of actions that could include talking to the Orc.

Mazrak will then in the Giant tongue tell the Zombie Giant to walk and point in the direction down the hall. Mazrak will follow. When they reach the Orc, he will tell the Zombie to stop once it passes the Orc.

Mazrak will check the Orc.

Heal Check: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

Mazrak will tell the party, "Blunt forced trauma. Its been likely kicked by a Giant. The Orc has broken bones and is bleeding internally. This Orc will likely die soon. I don't speak Orc."

That would be two rounds worth of actions there. One just to get to the Orc, the other to do the Heal Check. I will wait for the other's movements and actions.

Mazrak chooses a giant that is mostly intact and starts casting. The light in the room dims and it grows cold. Mazrak holds a large black gem in his hand as his other starts moving. He chants is a voice that is cold and commanding. Black energy spills out of the gem, moving into the dead giant. Then, a hand moves, and slowly, horrible, its wounds still dripping, the giant stands. Mazrak finishes the cast and is in control of the dead hulk. Mazrak feels somewhat stained.

Light returns to the room. The zombie rolls its eyes and moans.

Click on Mazrak's name. He carries four 350GP Onyx Gems.

Aye! He does not use these gems lightly. Only when needed. It is needed.

Horek, did you count the 18 points from this previous healing in your tallies? The total in the quotes above was not the original roll. Mazrak only has one CSW left. The other was used on Jeeves.

Mazrak will cast a spell on Horek.

This is Mazrak's initiative. He will do more on his next round, unless he needs to put some arrows into some big SOB. Horek, what is you current HP total?

He will then turn to Seltyn, "Mi Lord, it is not my way. I am here to aid and assist. I will let those smarter than I lead the way."

He will then turn to the party as a whole, "There is something I can do that may aid our situation. I can make one of these dead Hill Giants a Zombie that will fight for us. But I will only do this if you allow it. I would lose my last most powerful healing spell. But it could make a big difference....literally."

Edit: As Mazrak is Hasted, he can get to Horek. But I am not sure where he can stand and not be in another's space or getting an AoO from a Giant. You may need to position Whisper to allow a gap for Mazrak to get to you in the next round. But as I am having issues determining this with the map; if you see a route in the current round without taking an AoO, please let me know, then Mazrak will move to it and cast a heal on Horek. As to AoO, healing is limited, so we can't afford to give the Giants free attacks.

Mazrak's available healing before the current round, is 3 CSW, 5 CMW, and 5 CLW. And that is if he doesn't have the need to cast another type of spell, like a Hold Person.

If the party moves into the room, then Mazrak will move to the door and fire another arrow at the nearest standing target. Mazrak will follow with what ever the lead fighters want to do.

Looks like the fog-of-war has become shifted on the map. I recall having similar issues when using Google Drawings for online maps.

Mazrak will whisper to the party, "With the Message spell, would it make sense for our most stealthy member go ahead and scout the perimeter. If he sees trouble he can Message us and fall back to meet the rest of us.

It is too bad that the party was not able to observe the structure from a distance to see how many ways in and out there were. The front door is seldom the best point of attack.

Then some Guidance with his stealth check as he knocks another arrow in his bow. He will follow behind the party in general.
