Yes, Magic Missile is an excellent ranged option for casters and folks with good UMDs - PF 1.0's power supremacy of certain casters over us mere martials is well established. ;) Precise Shot is on the list when I next level up to 7 - I opted for Vital Strike at 5 b/c Marcus tries to be a switch hitter and Vital Strike helps both. (Improved Precise will take a while, though... BAB +11 isn't an option for a while... ;) ) I would have kept with Melee to provide flanks and such and Vital Struck through the DR... but I wanted to be a good teammate/PBPer by "yes, and" ing the call to retreat by the two prior posters, thus leaving me out of position to avoid the -4... .

I can switch characters if it would facilitate more folks playing. While I do like playing Marcus, I have a stable of other folders gathering dust right now... so I can do 3-4 with another character... |
