Should Ijust make life easy on myself and make a human with COTF Ancestry a half Elf or just convert the Wilden to PF2E? I know in canon humans and COTF can interbreed, as in the past with the Arryns and a few other families of the first men.It would be an interesting possibility that Sweetrobin's problems are not due to Lysa's insanity or Littlefinger's poisons, but distant COTF ancestry.

"Rocking in the Free World' by Neil Young, not so much the actual song, but how right wingers tried to co-opt it,I cant see how anyone could think its a conservative song. It savages American cultural materialism and gun culture and praises Jesse Jackson.

Interesting Dasrak, I was thinking of making him a Bard/aristocrat and lawful evil, although he didn't have much of real rigid code of conduct, paricularly as you pointed out when he grew more paranoid.
Here are my idea of stats feel free to tinker
Strength: 8- he was scrawny in youth and flabby as he got older
Dexterity: !3-he must have been reasonably nimble to survive being a messenger on the front.
Constitution: !!-he suffered from poor health all of his life, although he survived being gassed in WWI. His later ill health was thought to be from PArkinson's, drug addiction, and quack medical practices, possibly syphillis if you've read Norman Spinrad's The Iron Dream
Intelligence: 14, most of his biographers think he was bright but not a genius, he did have a photographic memory which helped him.
Wisdom: 11, probably average he was dumb enough to fight the US and the USSR at once, but he was clever enoough to survive many assassination attempts.
Charisma: 18 nuff said

If you allow third party I briefly considered WAndering Artist (Painter) but that requires a high Wisdom, the guy declared war with both the US and the USSR in the same year-so Wisdom not so much, and he was a pretty sucky painter.

Well it's better than another Batman thread. Been kicking around the idea of a dictator using bards to spread propaganda for some time and decided just to go full metal Godwin

Thought exercise Adolph Hitler in Pathfinder feel free to delete if the topic gets too "Godwiney"
Since it's official that current day Golarion is just after WWI, things might get very interesting there in about 20 years
Just finished watching Third Reich documentary on AHC
and wondering how to convert ol Adoplph to Pathfinder.
He apparently wasn't musical himself , although he was a WAgner fanatic, so does that rule out any levels in bard? from his days as an army messenger does he have a level in Rogue or Ranger?
Can an 'earthly" mundane ever get a following in Golarian no matter how skilled in media manipulation?

1. Planescape
2. Spelljammer
3. Kara -Tur-which got the hose in 1 and 2e and was dropped altogether in favor of Rokugan. Since so little was published about Kara-Tur, Paizo can make it it's own.
4. Eberron

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do a Tick character (doesn't have to be that exact) for Pathfinder? Should I wait until the rules for animal familiars and companions for non spellcasters come out in January so that The Tick can have a capybara?
I already have Arthur as a slightly overweight Gathlain Bard as the Tick's conscience, and a NE Ghoran druid for El Seed. Unfortunately there is no way to do Chairface Chippendale.

Thinking of making a party based on characters in MSTied movies.
Not the bots, hosts or mads, but characters in the movies seen on the show.
So far I have Ator-Barbarian and Mr. B Natural-Bard.
Anyone else have any ideas, and what the heck is Torgo anyway?

Earth and Golarion exist in the same universe, where time does not flow in a non-linear fashion. And in Reign of Winter, Baba Yaga's hut is not capable of time travel. So yes, if it's 4714 AR in Golarion, it's 1919 on Earth.

Thanks for the official clarification!

Just read thru Reign of Winter, where "current" inhabitants of Golarion travel to early 20th century Earth. I'm curious-is it c 1919 in Golarion, or does time act in a non linear fashion like in Narnia?
Any thing official from Paizo on this?

I knew they had pouches, but I didn't realize they were that mammalian.
Is there a Pathfinder or 3rd party race that does a better treatment, or will I actually have to get off my lazy ass and build a Narn race from scratch? I hate to have a hit on Charisma, but of all the Narns on the show, G'Kar was the only (very) charming one.

Thinking about making a G'Kar type character, or maybe even G'Kar himself (surviving as a clone)
Thinking about making him Lizardfolk, Nagaji or Dragonkin and some sort of Bard.
I once had a theory that Nagaji were actually a somewhat dim Narn offshoot race-the story about being a created servitor race was a cleverly placed lie to throw off the Shadows.
I don't want anyone spending hours of their life on this, because this idea , like many others, probably won't come to pass, but how would you stat up G'Kar?

Sy Fy had two bites at the apple at Riverworld and both failed, partly because they were too cheap to spring for Titanthrops, (Joe Miller)so a movie is unlikely, but could have been cool.
Of course Elfquest-but every one knows that convoluted history of it's almost filming several times over.

I haven't been able to find the answer in either the core book, Eclipse or the Bestiary. They seem to be pretty common, but with their abilities I expect them to be worth a lot more than a horse. Anyonbe want to hazard a guess on the price of a kith both on The Forge or on another world wherre they would e much rarer?

Kahvi from Elfquest, even though her death hasn't been written in the comics yet, Wendy says she's in spirit form now.

Can't get "Coney Island Baby" outta my head.
"I just wanted to play football for the coach."

Goodbye Uncle Lou

Really sad news. 71 is young these days.

Just be a Ranger.

Pick animal companion, wolf.
Prior to 4th level, the wolf is too young/poorly trained to participate in combat.

Hey I like that!

Thanks for the responses! I'm going to tinker with both options.
Gherrickj-Although Wolfriders are technically medium, they are a bit on the small side so Beast Rider may be a good fit
Marc Radle-Spell-less Ranger looks interesting, even for non EQ characters
will download it ASAP!

Comics can be seen at http://www.elfquest.com/gallery/OnlineComics3.html
Wolfriders in Elfquest are pretty much Rangers mounted on wolves,
and I was wondering how to make the class balanced by giving the elves either an animal companion or faithful mount at 1st level.
any suggestions?

Sad Philadelphia Fan would like to have an additional forum to vent.

His living to 102 sorta takes the sting out of your jokes IMHO.

Please, Please Please say anything that will give me hope for the next 5 years or so! Homer has gotta go!

Not a fan due to his Nippophobia in Debt of Honor, but even though he was a die hard Republican he criticized both parties when he disagreed with them, so he had some principles.

It's particularly hard since Cas' power level fluctuates through out the show. From High Ranking Angel to well-God, to basically human.
That's why I'm not asking for full write ups that will take hours out of people's lives.

How wold you handle Castiel as a PC? And to a lesser extent Sam and Dean?
SPOILERS!!!!

Since the end of last season he might be completely human, so he could probably be played without a Level Adjustment.

END OF SPOILER

Note: This is a thought exercise more than anything else. I'm too lazy to GM and I probably will never get to play Castiel, so you don't have to spend hours doing a full write up on him. (Did get to play Tom and Crow as a one off though-got killed, but as per the show they had many other copies of themselves laying about :))

I think my games are a little "lighter" than yours in tone (think Hercules or Xena)and can stand more silliness, but that's cool. A lot of people prefer more seriousness in games.
I'll have to look into Mythic. I haven't gotten mine yet.

The Pythons actually did a lot of research on both Arthurian myth and Medieval History for Holy Grail.
I did read Chretian De Troyes (albeit in English translation) and Lancelot does go berserk on a number of occasions.
IMHO modern takes on a myth (Mists of Avalon, the BBC's Merlin) are also valid since we are talking fantasy here.

The obvious answer is Cavalier, but there are good arguments for several others.
The movie First Night implies he has levels of Monk.
In Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Lancelot certainly acts like a Barbarian. This is backed up in Medieval Arthurian Literature by Lancelot sometimes going berserk and killing the wrong people, and his gaining of superhuman strength when "inspired" by Guinivere.
There are also arguments for Paladin, with him being somewhat of a holy knight (but not as holy as Galahad or Perceival, this is seen in the film Excalibur.
Of course there is boring old Fighter as a compromise class.

What suits her best? She might actually have a level of Gunslinger after The Talons of Weng Chiang when she learns how to use guns.

This has probably been done to death, but I couldn't find the thread.
Has anyone converted Pokemon monsters to the Bestiary as familiars?
If so, can you post some? I'm very lazy and terrified of getting my sums and balance wrong.

In English 101 the first question the professor always asks is whether Hamlet's father's ghost is good or bad, so it's hardly an original question.
The amount of nude male on male wrestling in his novels (Ender's Game and Treason at least, and the prominence of homosexuality in Songmaster)
makes me wonder if Card is trying just too hard-if you know what I mean.

Marvel vs DC Gahh!!, I used to be quite the collector, but dropped out in the bad 90's like most people, I just read Dark Horse Classics like Groo, Usagi Yojimbo and coming up Elfquest, and only read the ocassional comic from the big two now. The quality of writing and art IMHO has generally improved for both companies. But I think I kinda outgrew the medium. Still I find the same holds true for my youth DC does better heroes and Marvel better villains.

about 3 minutes in you can see Nummy's origin.

I have no idea where to start making a Nummymuffincocolbutter.
What kind of CR are we talking about? And what exacly are his abilities?
I want him to be a low enough CR for TV's Frank to take as an Improved Familiar, but he may be too powerful. His power seemed to worked on all humans (but not robots. Any ideas?

You don't have to actually make them small. Just make them at the very low end of medium, and make sure the other party members are large for their size category.

I would be more concerned with what class to go with. Other than debuff bard I'm at a loss.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking Bard for Tom and Wizard for Crow.

I know, I know, their arms don't work so ANY Class seems a stretch.

Hi.
Relatively new to Pathfinder and very lazy, so I need help in converting Tom and Crow into PCs.
I was thinking of just using the Android (From Inner Sea Bestiary), changing the size to small and making them +2 INT and CHA, and -2 STR.
does any body else have any better ideas? Thanks.

I think the whole "Christianity vs RPGs" disconnect is based in, what I like to call, the If You Can Think It You Can Do It Fallacy. The basic of which is, that if I can play a fiendish vampiric jerk in a roleplaying game, it's not hard to imagine that I would sneak around, seduce young women and drink their blood in real life.

But I don't think that's how most people work. And, you know, the people who think that's how everybody else works, those are the people who scare me. Odds are they are the ones with a really loose grip on reality.

Here I am to break up the love fest. Pat Pulling who was the mastermind behind BADD was a very silly woman and not very bright. I feel badly for the tragedy she suffered, but it had zippo to do with RPG's.It's hard to be respectful of plain xenophobia and ignorance.

I remember some years ago, some guy was found dead somewhere in Sweden. No big deal, until the media got whiff of the fact that the guy was a Vampire: the Masquerade player. Media Frenzy ensured about his 'blood drinking', 'murder-glorifying' hobby, and droned on and on about the evil of roleplaying games for a couple of weeks.

Then it turned out that he was killed in a drug related kerfuffle and media interest dried up real quick.

*sigh*

I guess we should be thankful that he wasn't a Kult player. :p

I forgot all about the Vampire: The Masquerade hysteria. If they ever actually bothered to read the games they would realize that they were written by the "good" kids (grown up) who actually paid attention in school, particularly to their history, literature and social studies classes.

Agnostic here. Grew up in a mostly Catholic town but was already quite the little heathen when I started playing at 13. I got into it because I was interested in folklore and mythology at an early age.
Some Christian sects are quite open to studying foreign cultures (ie the Jesuits)and comparative religion, while others regard everything outside their sect as "satanic." I wonder if the OP is Australian, where for a time BADD (Bothered About D&D) was quite influential in churches. If he hasn't already, the OP should direct his friends to Wikipedia and the D&D Controversy page and see how D&D=suicide=satanism is thouroughly debunked.

You can have them listen to that Dead Alewives D&D routine.

But seriously, those that suggest actually running a game have the right idea.
