![]() As Kagore expertly tries to secure a hold of Heshvaun, the Imperial counters with his own deft move, to avoid the lock. Brawling Parry (Enchani): 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3, 5, 3) + 1 = 13 "Excellent. You are using a Förräderi offense against me! That marks you as a Teräs Käs adept, truly a gifted fighter. " "But I find that Teräs Käs is highly effective on Jedi and other Force Sensitives, and even rudementary Echani (which I favor), cancels out Förräderi, don't you? Yet you are gifted indeed." Heshvaun reverses the lock on him. "As a living Clone Veteran, you are either highly skilled, remarkably resourceful, or unbelievably lucky. Perhaps a smattering of all three. In any case the General has found a worthy companion. Please accept my compliments." Heshvaun releases the lock. Pointing to the maintenance chute, "That route will take us deeper into the vessel, but we will avoid getting shot at for some time. And yes, there are times a Field officer must take the lead." With another wink, the Imperial follows Colton in. - - - I'm not sure if Kagore is using Teräs Käs, but I could not resist because I edited Teräs Käs for the Shadows of Empire Sourcebook. #HumbleBrag ![]()

To Tallon and his wife - "It is a honour to be at the side of the greatest mind Carida ever produced, and a true hero of the Republc. But I must say General I was never jealous of you until today." Heshvaun takes off his glove as he gently takes Tallon's wife's hand and very gently kisses it. There is always time for courtesy. "Lady Tallon, a true honour." To Rufus - "Careful where you point that now lad, wasn't one court martial enough?" he says with a wink. "Given our circumstances, I believe your commanding officer can vouch for me." "We should move, it's getting sporting and the General (and his lovely wife) is an asset we can not lose." ![]()

Identifying General Tallon within the group, he pulls out a small cylinder, and with a pitch that would make a top tier Grav-ball striker envious, lobs the device with near precision towards his former commander. To his credit, Tallon snatches the hurled comlink without slowing down. comlink crackles to life "We have a secure two way channel, General." "It's rather fortunate that these bucket heads were not drilled and trained by you General, otherwise I very much doubt your squad would have made it this far." "But even a blind Gamorrean gets lucky shot in now and then. Let's get you all out of here! On the double quick." ![]()

![]() Under the flickering lights of a long corridor, yelling above the emergency claxons: " ... and make sure you get yourself evacuated with the men as well Lieutenant. No need for heroics today Newland, this whole fiasco is entirely the Navy's B'omarr pickle". A protesting voice came from the secure comlink: "But sir there are multiple reports of gunfire in ..." Heshvaun cuts his subordinate off: "I gave you your orders Lieutenant, carry them out. The Stormtrooper Corps will deal any shipboard situation, our boys will fight another day. Now get our men out of here, and set your coded beacons so our recovery teams find you." Resigned, the voice responds, "Acknowledged sir. See you at landfall." The junior officer did not happen to catch the 'find you' reference that should have been 'find us.' Moving past frantic Naval personnel running the opposite direction towards a damaged six meter long automated fire retardant unit, the Command Officer furrows his brow thinking to himself, If the Rebels did escape, they would be trying to reach their ship or any unsecured transport off this dying Star Destroyer. But these were not any Rebels, this group was with Adar Tallon. And Heshvaun knew exactly what someone like Tallon would do. Smiling inwardly as a another secondary explosion rocked the Relentless, Heshvaun took a sharp left to head to the turbolift section. Inside one of the last few left functioning, he keyed for decent to the engine control core. ![]()

If I may add this bit of plot point and story arc as the prisoners are escorted to the Detention Block where they are currently in. When he sees Evax leave, Heshvaun joins the the circle of troopers bringing the captured Rebels to the brig. The Imperial Officer purposely makes eye contact with the man he can not believe to be Adar Tallon. With his right hand on his officer's olive grey armour, he quickly signs, who was commanding the Republic forces at the Battle of Rendili? in distinct Galactic sign language, something Adar himself taught the younger officer long ago to pass the time and steel the nerves on long space voyages to the battlefront. If this was the real Adar Tallon, he would know how to sign back without alerting their Imperial captors. ![]()

![]() Antonius had a fairly good memory for voices, the mocking voice seemed familiar somehow. Where had he heard that voice before? As the captured prisoners filled off onto the ramp he looks at each in turn to see if any their faces would jog his memory. Then, in the midst of the rabble, surrounded by his very men, stood a ghost from his past. The Imperial Officer shifts his stance to hide his features from the ISB officer, and focuses on he face of the man in the middle of the group of Rebels. Tallon? Adar Tallon?!! Impossible! Imperial Intelligence had long ago reported him dead. Did Evax recognize him as well? Antonius attempts to keep the ISB's focus elsewhere. "My word, is that a Clone? Interesting, as you know I led a two platoons of them as a junior officer, EXCELLENT soldiers really." (despite what your own propaganda officers would spout off) "At the second Battle of Mimban my entire unit got the Senate's commendation and the Crescent of Service. Further, if you would indulge an old chap a moment of small pride, I myself got the Medal of Valor from then Chancellor and now our Emperor himself! Have I ever shown you that one to you Evax?" "As I was saying, splendid soldiers, really." Despite himself, the ISB officer lets out a small groan. "Yes, yes you have shown me your ornaments. A great many times to be sure." and walks over to inspect the prisoners. - - - GM The Force, feel free to roll to see if Evax notices a brief and subtle change in Heshvaun's demeanor. ![]()

Despite the crisp and clean appeared he shares with the other officers of both the Imperial Army and Navy, his colleagues give him a wide berth, as if he was a plague carrier. Lt. Colonel Heshvaun is no longer smiling. Lt. Colonel Heshvaun: a long intake of breath to keep his distaste for the man in check. "Ah, Evax, so good of you to join us. Do you expect Mon Mothma to be onboard the freighter? I don't think it's her taste in colour, but then again I missed the last Fashion Week on Coruscant. And I have not subscribed to Jawa Quarterly, my colour palette is out of date." The ISB officer meet the comment with with a half smile. Literally. Half the man's face has a small grin and the other half maintians a cold and stern demeanor. It is the well practiced act of a madman. Officer Evax: "Not all of us are war heroes Lt. Colonel. there is a pause, and no hiding contempt of a man who treats aliens as equals. "We each serve His Majesty's Emprie as best we can. I am simply here to scrutinize the captives for any persons of interest." - - - Full disclosure, Evax was a character I created for the Deciper Star Wars card game. We are detecting micro power surges from inside the ship. There is a possibility they are trying to overload their systems to self destruct their vessel. They should not be able to do this, but to ensure they don't we recommend that we hit them with Ion bursts. Or contain them in a force shield. Even if they somehow manage to overload their systems, we could contain the explosion." Lieutenant Newland: cursing under his breath. 'Damn these Rebels, they are all nerve burners.' Lt. On board the Rebel's ship, a new voice can be heard, not over the Docking bay's speakers but from the cockpit. "To the crew and passengers of the Mon Cal freighter, I am not sure if there are Sabacc players among you, but in case there are, maybe they should tell the others something about odds. Your type of vessel needs a crew of two to four, with passenger room for another six perhaps. So, ten of you at most?" "In this hanger bay alone we have over twelve times that number of guns, ion turrets and heavier weaponry trained at you. This is NOT a fight you can win." "Believe me, I have been in unwinnable situations before ... and yet I am still here. Perhaps it is best for all concerned that you lay down you arms and perhaps you may live to fight another day." They are trying to peel off, but Tractor Team Inveigle has secured them. They will burn their engines out if they try to resist further." Captain, Relentless: "These are REBELS, Commander. I want these traitors to the New Order to learn that there is nowhere in The Empire they can run." Commander: 'Yes Sir!' The officer hurries back to his monitoring station, barking commands as he goes. Lt. Colonel Heshvaun, XO Imperial Army contingent, Relentless: "I will personally lead the boarding party, I'll have the troopers set weapons to stun so we can question these lawless saboteurs, once secured I will then have an ISB scan team go every inch of the ship." Colonel: "I don't think they give medals for capturing lone freighters Heshvaun, and even if they did, you have more than enough of those to show off to the high born women of Coruscant your fond of. Let one of your Lieutenants handle this." Lt. Colonel Heshvaun: "I will take one of them with me, of course. If you would indulge me Colonel, we have not seen REAL action in ..." Colonel: waving a dismissive hand "Fine, fine, go play hero of The Empire, just don't get yourself killed by some Wookiee with a death wish, I would rather not have to report that to your ... benefactor."
