Sorry folks. At this point I'm committing to a handful of other projects and I'm not certain I'll be able to follow this again when it does pick up. I think I'll be bowing out.
Sorry to hear that, best wishes.
Longirus begins his own series of chants.
"I also have obscuring mist prepared. I will provide whatever support I can as we go."
"I could not help much while scouring or in an ambush. Perhaps as a distraction. That said, I think trying to to lie our way through has little hope of success."
I don't play pokemon go BUT work has been killing me. Also the new monster hunter game.
"Hmm, hopefully he will make a full recovery..." says Longirus after the portal has closed.
"So, where to?"
I'm ready to follow along when you guys are ready to go.
"As am I. With hope we will soon see this conflict brought to a close."
I want to help with things, but I don't have a spellcraft score of note. I'm kind of reliant on you guys still.

Posting with complicated alias.

I rarely see the need to combine so many thing, and I strongly believe most of the time that is only done to achieve a mechanical advantage and rarely is done for roleplaying reasons.
Roleplaying and mechanics are not mutually exclusive. Gaining a mechanical advantage does not come at the expense of the character.
"Then I will strive for the preservation of life, even if that should prove the harder of two paths. In the meantime I take it there are many preparations to be made?"
"Would it not also be possible to simply render them inert, rather than destroy them?"
"Yes, indeed. If there is a presence riling the two sides up then that is where the problem lies. You have my assistance as well."
CaveToad wrote: Items have to be updated. I gathered the shirt was adjusted. What was the nerf exactly that made it useless? Using it immediately ends your turn and you have to wear it for 24 hours straight before gaining its effects.
"Please, let me know if I can be of assistance sister." says Longirus before they depart to the city outskirts.
OOC I actually have no idea about harpies or anything else that's been happening in this game before I joined. There's a lot of material I'd have to catch up on.
Longirus shrugs off the slight and continues "In the eyes of another we have killed quite of a few of their own and made off with an artifact to boot. I witnessed one act out of desperation once she had been forced too, yet did so with some manner of honor - not to mention that the prospector yet lives. I will not follow a path of bloodshed when hope of some other still shines. We should know better than any that the promise of redemption can always be realized."
"I'm not totally convinced of the giants evil, nor the righteousness of our cause, brother. I cannot rightly preach Fathers word while committing to such grandiose declarations. Still, if the Fellhammer lies at the root of this conflict then we need to understand it before acting."
Longirus scratches his head, He was following everything that was being said well enough, but he had little to go on in the way of context to frame it better.
"Even if the giants are in the wrong full blown warfare would be disastrous to either side. By the sounds of it the giants know that and are choosing to plan against such an event, though for strategy or honor I cannot rightly say. If it's an object that they are feuding over then wouldn't the most conservative approach be a compromise of some kind?"
I can always use Astral Caravan to jump ahead.
"What, exactly, is this scepter?" asks Longirus as they walk. He has a hard time keeping up with his more able-bodied cousins and has to rely heavily on his walking stick to make up for it.
No, it's a cheese dip. I haven't had a chance to update my Mystic level (it'll go up to six).
You're right, my mistake. G+#&mit I just wanted to be useful.
Astral Caravan has a set speed so I doubt it.
Based on the region map it'll only take us about an hour to get back to Cliffport with Astral Caravan, right?
I'll do you one better brother.
AS the group makes ready to depart, Longirus reaches into his lantern to cradle the flame within. For a while he holds it tenderly until he suddenly casts it out to the ground where it flashes brilliantly, expanding into a portal large enough for the party to step through.
"May Goodwins light shine the way!" he says as he beckons the other inside.
Activating Astral Caravan
"Fret not" comments Longirus, having listened in "I can accommodate any sort of travel we may need, as long as there aren't more than six of us."
Do you want to do Ironskin now?
Longirus goes back to his own rest unless someone approaches him.
I've also got Glitterdust for invisible stuff.
Current Illumination is 3. Fire Resistance is still active. I removed the save bonus against mind-affecting
RAW any morale benefit you get lasts another 1d4 rounds. It doesn't need to have a duration of its own because Optimistic Gambler gives it a new duration regardless of the original one.
Round 2
Illumination: 3
Free Action to move my light to I-8. Radius is now 15 ft. Swift Action to switch the effect. As a swift action allies in the radius can gain a number of temporary hit points equal to my current Illumination.
"Strike at our flesh, but you will find that our spirit stands dutifully. Like a bastion, unrepentant in the face of destruction!"
With a motion of his hand he focuses on the Giantess and places a heavy weight upon her being.
Standard Action to use Reveal Weakness. Giantess takes a -2 to AC and Saving Throws for 1 round. Free Action to continue sermonic performance
Round 1
Illumination: 2
Active Energy: Fire
As there no longer seems any avenue but violence, Longirus slowly opens his lantern and a lets free a flickering fleck of light that lazily drifts across the battlefield.
Free Action to move candle to I-11. Anyone within 10 ft gains Fire Resistance 2 and a +2 morale bonus to saving throws against mind-affecting effects.
"Steel yourselves! By Goodwin's light we will drive the wickedness from this creatures heart!"
Standard to Inspire Courage. Everyone gains a +1 to attack and damage. Swift to enter Riven Hourglass Stance. AC is now 19 and spells/powers/abilities that target me specifically have a 50% miss chance.
Thanks to spell song I can cast spells without being detected. Something tells me I can't land a command
How do we want things to go down?
Longirus shines his light across the camp as he to is roused.
"Ah, what is happening now? Does she mean to hurt the old man? That's no good..."
Slowly he gets up and hobbles towards the scene. He speaks up again, this time in modern common.
"Yes? Hello? My name is Longirus, disciple of Goodwin and sibling to my fellows here. Under normal circumstances I'd ask further introduction but for now I will speak frankly: should you continue to harm that man you will only further compromise your position. Relinquish your grip at least."
Longirus hums away in his semi-catatonic state, unaware of the happening around him as he gazes lovingly at his lantern.
CaveToad wrote: Longirus, if you put a point in Linguistics as Xanya noted, you could have learned modern Common ( or at least enough to speak it passably, given that you have only been in this time two-three weeks ). You can retro a point in skills if you want this. I have five ranks in linguistics.
Quote: As linked to a bit back your lantern will stop giving off light while inside Xanya's magical darkness, but it's abilities will still function as normal. Xanya usually keeps up darkness on herself and Quassine all day to ward away the harsh effects of the sun. What's the radius? I physically need sunlight to live so you and I will be away from each other more often than not. Also, my lantern's light is a supernatural ability. Not sure if it'd be suppressed.
Does Longirus speak modern common?
"Ha ha! I have no need for costumes friend harpy. I come in my own form and no other."
Longirus quickly seats himself next to the fire. "Unfortunately I have not heard anything more of the army beyond conjectures of its possible size and formation."
"Hail and well met cousins!" says Longirus, leaning on his staff. Hanging from the end of the staff is a brass lantern that shines incessantly.
"How goes things?"
Xanya Zellor wrote: @Ash: I really want to make a magus starknife thrower now. Would that be ok or would you feel like I'm stepping on your toes? I guess I should wait and see if you are selected first, eh? If a 7th table is formed I wouldn't want to have such a similar concept...
Does Evangelist and Devout Pilgrim stack? Don't they have the same, "give up medium armor" issue?
Quiet you
thunderbeard wrote: @Longirus: If you're an Evangelist, you'll want to list either a deity or ideal that you evangelize, since it's important to the class. (Combining Devout Pilgrim with Evangelist only works if your domain is Chaos, Community, Liberation, Luck, Travel, or Weather domain (or the Exploration, Fate, Freedom, Trade, or Seasons subdomains if available in the campaign). It's fine to pick an ideal instead of a deity, but if so, that ideal should fit with your "theme." I believe I declared "Luck" in my profile as my domain.
I put together a short little psuedo backstory. I'm sorry it's not much to look at, I just didn't have much in the way of writing in me.
Ergh, ok. I'll look at moving some points after breakfast.
@Thunderbeard: I'll swap it with one of my progression feats, thanks.
Advanced Intelligence requires having a +2 racial bonus to INT, Ghorans lack that. I was not aware of Master Performer, and I will consider investing in it as I level up.

@Johnnycat93: Great to see Longirus :). Does that mean you are no longer submitting Shanalotte?
Yeah, there's always another triple-gestalt ultra game over the horizon where I can play a crit-fishing magus.
