"Here is the knife that was used to kill the priest. Looks like he was stabbed in the back...yeah, lots of blood!"

Is the body still there??

Lizette joins Angeus in her examination of the scene.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

"Well let's go in and see who is about shall we?"

Lizette steps forward and opens the door, slipping quietly into the interior of the building.

"Ummm...just keeping alert. New place and all...

She casually reaches down and grabs a waif's hand.

"Now now...you don't want to do that, my friend."

To waif in Cant:

Find another pigeon slick-fingers. You would not want me to report your failure to your handler!

Lizette continues to follow Angeus as she winds her way towards the temple. This area of the city is unfamiliar to the thief, and she keeps a wary eye on the people she passes and the dark places she would use to hide from prying eyes.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

"Oh yes, I have lived here all my life. My parents were wealthy merchants, but I wanted to live a different life, so I came to slum in the Warrens."

Lizette follows along with the others but keeps an eye on the people they pass. She keeps track of the route they take so she would be able to find her way back home.

"So, did you grow up in this area Angeus?"

Lizette places the chit safely upon her person and turns to Angeus.

"Ok lady boss, where to first? The Church where this priest worshipped or the place where his body was found?"

Still looking dubiously at the 'chit' she was given for payment, Lizette looks up and asks,

"How much does this one pay?"

Lizette steps forward and takes her chit. She frowns while looking at the "reward" she received.

"What the hell is this? What am I suppose to do with this thing?"

Having grownup in poverty, this is the first time Lizette has come across this form of maoney.

"Like I said, it might have been an attempt to get us to harass them and probably get killed for our trouble!"

Lizette waits for the group to finish with the guards before leaving.

"Well I wonder how long it will take to get our pay? I have debts that need paying!"

Are we still playing?? Looks like we lost Hroethgar!

Lizette looks a bit chastened by the guard's rebuke but does not let it bother her for long.

"Well, now what?" she asks the group as they wait around.

Lizette seems fine with leaving the murderer with the guard, no matter what the outcome.

"Was there not an agreed-upon price for solving this crime? Where is our pay?"

"Well I guess we should take him to the Watch and turn him in. Up you go my fine fella, and watch the foot!"

Lizette takes him out to the nearest guard station to turn him in.

"He probably wanted us to harass the assassins and get ourselves killed in the process. The Vai does not take kindly to people messing in their business...or trying to pawn off a poorly executed murder on them!"

"Who is Dakath?" Lizette asks as she tears a strip of cloth off the bedsheets and uses it to bind the knife wound she suffered.

Letting out a sharp squeal as the knife slashes her, Lizette reacts with a quick stab from her own weapon.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

"Hmmm...ok. So you took this murder on all by yourself then. Please describe to me the steps you took to kill Lord Sadar? Do not leave out any details...I will know!"

"Yes we found him. Mind telling me what part in this you played? Did you kill him? How did you get injured? Quickly now, before I lose my patience!"

She stays out of easy reach of the man but does not draw her daggers...yet.

Lizette looks the fellow over before answering.

"I am looking for the killer of Lord Sadar...and the blood spoor I have been following lead me right to you! So my guess is that you should be the one to tell me who you are and what you are doing here...and quickly!"

Is this still in the big room with the red curtains?

Seeing the blood, Lizette follows the drops to see where they lead to.

Smiling to herself, the rogue slowly opens the door, taking care to open it only as much as she needs to slip inside.

Continuing to move slowly and silently, Lizette creeps to the next room and examines the door before she attempts to open it.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Staying in the shadows as much as possible, Lizette sneaks past the singing woman and out of the room.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Finding herself flat on her back on the ground, Liz can hardly believe that she slipped and fell. Quietly getting back up, she takes care and climbs the wall once again, taking it slowly and carefully.

Take 10 on climb (14)

Lizette attempts to climb the outside wall to sneak through the open window.

Climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Lizatte moves silently through the compound until she reaches the building. She looks for a way to silently gain entrance while the others keep the owners busy.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Hearing the others at the door, Lizette sneaks to the back of the compound. She stops and recons the area before slipping over the wall onto the grounds.

"That sounds like a good idea. You keep them busy and I will try to sneak around and see what I might find. I will wait until you get into the house."

She gets to a place where she can watch the others enter the home before going back to the spot she noticed before to creep into the compound.

"Well isn't this a surprise....NOT! Seems we might have found our killer. Now just how do we get in and confront the right people?"

The young thief looks over the compound, trying to discern the best point for a stealthy entry.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Lizette keeps a wary eye open for anyone seeming to be paying the group too much attention.

"Come on Maicoh...which way does the spoor go? Is it towards the elve's compound?"

"Ahha! Good work Maicoh. Let's see where this might lead!"

Liz waits for the others to join them before she leaves following the murderer's spoor.

Lizette enters with Maicoh and shows the others the Vai calling card.

"If it was House Erthuo, then those elves must have hired some heavy muscle for this murder. Perhaps it was the Vai under contract to House Erthuo. If so, I do not think we should involve the Vai unless we absolutely have to...they do not take kindly to those who interfere in their business. Let's go and check out this House first."

Lizette takes this time to walk outside and get a breath of fresh air. She also walks all the way around the house, looking for any signs of illegal intrusion.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Lizette watches as everyone runs around looking for clues, or following their own particular leads.

She takes a look down the servant's passage, then out where the muddy boot prints were found.

Well no mud in the servant's passage...so unless the individual cleaned his boots, or took them off...it looks like perhaps 2 people visited this room tonight.

"Is the mistress free to talk? I should like to ask her a few questions.", she asks the maid who showed Hroethgar down the passage.

"Well now, what do we have here?"

Lizette moves some curtains to one side to reveal a hidden door. She opens the door and looks down the opening.

"Looks like a servant's walk. Who would have been the last to use it? Where does it lead to?"

She waits for the staff to say something.

Liz searches the walls of the room to see if she can locate any secret doors. She will then check the floor and finally examine the door to the room.

Perception (Floor): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Perception (Walls): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Perception (Door): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Yeah took me a couple of times refreshing to finally see my post....very buggy lately

Lizette also examines the card that was left near the dead body.

Know. Local (Vai): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Running a little behind the rest, Liz quietly enters the home and turns to look at the door to see if the lock was forced.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

She joins the others and looks over the body with a critical eye...using knives is after all her forte!

Heal: 1d20 ⇒ 7

Liz creeps around the corner of the alleyway and suddenly stops. A shiver travels up her spine.

"There is a change coming!", she whispers, remembering an old tale she was once told.

Ok background finished!!

Here is my submission for the game...still needs some background, but here is the crunch !!
