Lini takes one look to assess the value of the coin pile on the table, swipes it into her cash drawern and hands over the cloak. "Pleased to do business with you."
"Yes, here." Lini answers and adds one of each rods to the wares on the tabletop. "The common cloak of resistance costs 1000 gold." Lini informs Narciso.
"I don't sell mundane mining gear." Lini replies. The other items she gets out of drawers and boxes and puts them on the counter.
"And right he is!" you hear behind you. And in the middle of the alley that was empty a moment before, you find an extravagant merchant's stall with a happy go lucky gnome behind. "How can I help you?"
Did I hear business coming my way?
Lini checks in her extradimensional pouch and produces the requested sword. "You're sure is won't melt in your hand?" She then stuffs in all of the items she got from that sale and produces the coins for the reminder of the price. "A pleasure to do business with you. As always." She moves on on her way through Magnimar.
"Sure." Lini assesses what is on the table [ooc]and by reading Ardans thoughts [ooc] decides to present a horseshoe and an ioun stone in addition to a new cloak. "Anything else, or something for the other gentlemen?"
"Oh, you're trying to haggle, how interesting. But let me tell you, I'm ignorant to the historical value of those things. You can visit Randolf Burston III in his antiques shop if you think that brings you more money." Taking a look at the stuff brought along she adds "You might want to not offer him this chair though. He might not see what it is made of, before he burns his ass on it."
"I've heard my name?" a randomly strolling along gnome inquires sticking her head into the conversation.
"I'll take that as a yes." Lini comments and packs up her stuff. "Thank you for your business." With that she disappears.
Lini counts out the 4400 pp for the tomes, the swords and the Tome of Living Runes. "If that is acceptable for you?"
"I'll check on the scrolls while you empty your bag." Lini tells, before disappearing. A minute later she is back. "It is your lucky day. I secured three of the requested scrolls for you."
"Sure." Lini replies and produces a small table and chair out of a probably magical bag to be able to properly do the transaction. Next she retrieves the requested items out of the bag and puts them on the table and starts counting the presented currency. "If you are lucky and they are on stock that might work. But if the scrolls still have to be written, then you're probably out of luck."
"Nice chair." Lini states appraising the special furniture. "Yes indeed. Lini, owner of the shop 'Everything Magic' here in Magnimar and mobile everywhere you need to buy something." She offers a hand to the cleric. "As for your request... mithral shirt is standard gear, ring of force shield too, the spells for scrolls on the other hand I've never heard of. I would have to talk to someone. How urgent is that?" "As for the price, that's 18500 for the two standard items. For the scrolls I can't tell yet." "That chair is a nice piece of starmetal, but doesn't have much mass. That won't cover much of the expenses."
At this point the gnome is interrupted by the - by some - unexpected appearance of another gnome out of nowhere. "My favorite customers are calling?" Lini inquires.
Somewhen during this time Lini pops up and delivers Grergof's tools of the trade with the requested improvements done.
And arm reaches out of the closing portal to drop a purse and grab Grergof's items, pulling them through.
Lini gets a magical bag out and cleans off the table into it. "As always, it is a pleasure doing business with you. Have a nice day." And with that she is gone.
"That leaves 56,000 of my offer." Lini comments.
Lini appears in the room (whichever one that is now). "You got business for me? Looks interesting. Whole pile, I'll pay 130,000 gold. Assuming the shard is not included." she offers, looking over her thumb.
Luckily someone remembers that shopping of magical goods has an easier way than traveling back to Magnimar where the first place to ask would be Lini anyways. So, the gnome is summoned into the temporary mansion. The expert eye of the gnome identifies the needed ioun stone - a deep red sphere - and sells it for a measly 8000gp.
On the other hand, there is Lini. Lini has a shop in every town all over Golarion. She has everything in stock and has access to a demi-plane with a different speed of time where the elves (the small ones with green robes and hats) work for her (It's a cooperation with Santa Clause) that allows her to even upgrade magic weapons in an instant. Also she has more cash to buy items than you could ever throw on her counter.
Lini grabs all the items, disappears into another dimension, where the christmas elves have to slave away for her when they are not busy working for santa clause. There time runs and such enchantments can be applied withing minutes of Golarion time. Some minutes later she reappears with the desired improvements applied and the additional belt. "Here you go. Everything done as ordered."
Lini looks up from her work. [b]"I feel my big business senses tingling.
My big business senses are tingling again.
Lini bags all goods into a far too small bag and hands over the big diamond and four small pouches with diamond dust. "As always it was a pleasure to do business with you." With that she disappears from sight.
"Assuming you're not selling that stone, that would be, 4000+3250+5250+750+600 - because it's you - 14000 gold. Gets you some extra diamond dust for a restoration or two."
"You wanna propose to someone or did you have a casualty?" Lini inquires. After clarification, she produces a diamond. "You pay cash, or in goods?"
Gwenhwyfar leaves and after half an hour she comes back with a slightly overenthusiastic green haired gnome. "I have heard there is need of my services?"
"Well, ..." Lini tells and snaps her finger. Outside the shop the scenery changed. Magnimar. The view is dominated by the tremendous bridge, the Irespan. The houses of the city look like tiny toys in comparison.
After almost two weeks the missing gnome reappears in Magnimar. In a small shop at the dead end of an alley. Lini's "Everything Magic". And with him three new friends he made on his little side quest in Ustalav. "So the scroll and the ring stay with you. I can offer you to store the rest and take it into commission. If I find a buyer, you'll get the sales price minus my provision." Lini offers.
"I'd need some time to look at that. And you're piling such an amount of stuff here, I don't think I have the cash to pay you out." "For a small fee, I'd take you to my shop in Magnimar. Just you, or all of you?"
"Hello my favorite customers. What can I sell you this time? Or shall I buy?"
For that amount of money you can buy the preassembled golem from Lini. Almost full price, but finished in one day, and you still can tell everyone you did it yourself.
With all things regarding the count clarified for now, the party visits the local branch of Lini's magic shop to drop off the large pile of useless stuff collected over weeks to turn it into cash. "You for sure don't want to take all these coins with you, do you? See something endearing around here, or got something in mind, I could bring you?"
Lini watches a while until the pile is high enough. "Wonderful, it's always a pleasure to do business with you. Goodbye, until next time." she says and disappears with the payment and the mirrow in a swirl.
"I have everything!" Lini boasts and pulls the item out of a drawer. "But do you have the coin?"
"They are 750 gold. How many do you want?" Lini asks while handing out the scrolls and potions and collecting the coin.
"Ah, you want the formula, not the potion... then I have a scroll for you to copy. Cost is only half."
Lini turns a ring and behind her appears a mirror that looks into her shop. "See invisibility potions for 300 gold each. How many?" she asks, while walking through the mirror into her shop and to the potion shelves. "The communal resist energy costs 750 gold. What energy type would you like to resist to?"
After a short pause a small cloud is created by a sparkling explosion from which the green haired gnome appears. "You've called me for business?" she addresses Darius.
"How about this scroll of greater teleport? Only 2275 gold." Lini offers.
"Spell books are over there. Price is charged by magical ink used." "But you look indecesive. I have this nice staff of life. It is really nice item to have around if on dangerous missions. If you have the coin. And it is sustainable. If you can cast a heal spell, you can charge the staff in five days to use it for a resurrection. Without burning a diamond!" Lini tells in her best sales-woman voice.
"I offer you 2600 platinum for the hardware." Lini tells.
"Well, I see my favorite customers are back. What can I help you with?" Lini asks, as you suddenly find you accidentally walked into her shop while not paying close attention where you go.
Lini takes the gun and wraps it in a cloth. "It will take about 4 days until it is enchanted." "Half of the cost now, half when it is done." pitchfork has not created a profile. |
