Leo gives Katrina a nod, "That we do."

Over the next bit, Leo accompanies his fellow pathfinders in wading through swaths of undead. He is a mighty force on the battlefield. He seems to embody the dichotomy of Nethys with massive blasts of destructive fire or electricity, erecting walls of wind that block archer fire, sending out waves of vitality energy to heal wounded soldiers, and sometimes getting into the thick of it with his bastard sword.

Leo sticks his sword into the ground causing the crackling electricity to dissipate. He then puts his hands on his hips, puffs out his chest, and gives Katrina a giddy smile. "Seek out magic power," he begins reciting, "and use it!"

Leo raises his sword in the air and shouts "Fulgur!. Electricity crackles over the surface of the sword loudly. He then points the sword at the center zombie (pink). A large line of electricity arcs from the sword toward the zombie. Before the arc makes it to the zombie, Leo shouts another word, "Arcus!", and sweeps his sword to the side.

When the arc of electricity hits the zombie it immediately jumps to another zombie, and then another..(hopefully)

At the same time that the arc is jumping, Leo is fully following through on his swing, spinning all the way around and then releasing his sword. It spins, buzzing and crackling with electricity, flying toward the zombie.

Firstly I apologize if this complicates things but I have an order of priority of targeting for both my chain lightning and my following sword attack (HotA). The order is
Pink > yellow > white > green > blue > red

Leo sees Lena coming to help with the wards and decides to find another way to help out. As he looks around the town's situation, he notices that the evacuation isn't processing as quickly as he was expecting it would. So Leo begins talking to the residents of the town about their evacuation procedures.

Seeing as the other magical folks didn't do wards, I guess I will.

Leo knows immediately where he can be of the most help. He goes on search of Uirch with his spellbook in hand instead of hanging from his belt.

Once he finds the orc, he enthusiastically shares his knowledge of everything wards. Unless Uirch stops Leo, Leo will continue enthusiastically to share his work on a unified theory he's been working on that "..finds the backbone that all magic works off of.."

Leo places his off-hand back on the sword as he raises his sword into the air. With a quick word he slices down. As he does so large clumps of rocks materialize and fall.

Secondly, Leo used the champion reaction on the 17 damage from the sonic cone to Katrina (Glimpse of Redemption).

Leo releases his grip with the special gauntlet from his sword. He says a quick word and runes alight along the back of the gauntlet and fingers. Another pulse of vitality erupts.

Leo moves a little closer (1 square to the right) to his allies.

After the pulse, his sword gives a vitality glow. He then strikes down at the mass next to him.

Observing the enemies advance, Leo says a quick word while going into a crouch on his mount. When he extends his legs, he shoots off of his mount toward the mass of undead somethings. As he moves through the air, his sword begins to give off a blue glow.

He lands with a resounding K-Thump! and thrusts his sword toward the mass. As he thrusts, he shouts an arcane word and lightning shoots in a line from his sword through the mass and a couple of the zombies near Katrina.

His thrust ends with a slash into the multitude.

Leo, atop his magical mount, traces magical symbols in the air with his sword tip. A blue luminescence remains where he has traced and then explodes once completed. Leo's movements seem to quicken significantly.

He then reaches into his memory to try and identify the closest enemy (blue).

Leo's last bit of preparation involves spending ten minutes repeating a lengthy incantation while seemingly tracing the outline of some sort of horse thing in the air. After his last tracing a figure solidifies-ish in the space. Standing as still as a statue is the figure of a horse. It is colored white and black, a bisection down the middle (length-wise) separating the colors. In the place of any sort of face is the holy symbol of the all seeing eye.

I realized that Leo is still pretty young at 22. It makes sense to me that he feels ill equipped to be a war leader. I'm hoping that I can get some good rp ammo to fuel Leo's growth.

"Ah yes!" Leo exclaims after a moment frozen in thought. "You were inquiring about a wand of purely magical armor!" Leo's eyes light up at this as he continues enthusiastically, "So, I've done a bit more work on that subject and have found that the efficacy of purely magic armor is maximized with a maximal agility. This is due to the behavior of the magic as it is anchored to the subject. See..."

Leo continues his explanation:
"...what the magic is doing is creating a tethered link between the aethereal plane and our plane. Such a link causes an emergent property that behaves as a solid of sorts in both planes. I am currently experimenting with such a link with a simple wall-like structure. I can make little segments but they don't last through the construction of any significantly sized wall, as it were. Dissipating before I've fully constructed it. The problem and difference being, I have nothing to really anchor it to. Unlike the purely magical armor. See, the purely magical armor can be anchored to a body, which essentially exists in both planes. So, each small construction of the purely magical armor can be tethered to the body, and thus have a sufficient anchor. Once the tethered link gets far enough away from its anchor it dissipates. Which again, is why it works so well encompassing a body. And also why it would essentially work better with more agile individuals. Because it is anchored to the different parts of the body, and it is weightless, it would easily accompany the body in its evasive action, adding extra protection atop the evasiveness. All of that said, I foresee a possible point of diminishing returns in situations of excessive agility. This is due to the fact that the tethered link, creating a level of substance, as I said before, could end up conflicting with itself in a similar way that my armor conflicts with itself often. All of that said, I question the efficacy of purely magical armor compared to magically enhanced armor. While it could be comparable in situations of maximal agility, the efficacy of magically enhanced armor seems more likely to be better in all situations with agility under maximal. And, that doesn't even begin to approach the fiscal efficiency. See, with purely magical armor, the magic runs out, thus requiring a re-application of the magic on a daily basis. Now, to be fair, most magics renew over the course of a day. So with a wand, one could maintain the purely magical armor. But, the cost of the wand compared to that of the enhanced armor is significant, I think..."

"...In conclusion, I'd suggest magically enhanced armor over purely magical armor."

After a moment of silence following the bolting ulfen elder, Leo turns to Jiki, "Door hinge. Poor, maybe. Or impinge...I...uhh...like brain teasers..."

Th-clink! Th-clink! Th-clink!...
A stocky young man of mixed heritage, in his mid twenties, and average height opens the door. He is bedecked in full-plate armor, has a hand and a half sword on his back, and a pack over top it. He has chiseled handsome features with unkempt short brown hair. His left gauntlet appears whiter in color and has runes that run down each finger. Tied by a leather throng to his belt is a slightly 'off' looking spellbook. His plate armor has a large symbol of Nethys emblazoned on the middle of the chest.

He looks over to the elderly ulfen man with curiosity, "Umm. Are you one of the agents being sent on this mission?"

I wouldn't make much noise personally. I would make the bus stop as unpleasant as legally possible to ensure that others made the noise. Because me repeating the same message over and over is fruitless.

Similarly, the same message being repeated over and over is likely fruitless. If the designers and developers are here, they probably heard the point at least the third time it was expressed 1-2 threads ago.

To think that posts now, repeating the same thing from posts 100+ ago, are going to make a difference as opposed to those previously seems...like a strange outlook.

I suppose I must be resigned to say different people are different.
