I would like to try the new summoner class. I am interested in the variation on spell progression, and have an old PFS character here (Leepo) that I think I would like to re-imagine in 2e.

Class: Very friendly and innocent-looking summoner who's best friend and confidant is her beast or dragon eidolon. It is also the "muscle" of the pair, while she is more of an information gatherer.

Short Character Biography: Leepo's early years were strange and fascinating, having been "acquired" by sprites as a newborn and raised among the fey. It was never quite clear if she had been kidnapped or sold, but the fey were a light-hearted folk and so Leepo learned that trait, as well as a few tricks. As she gained a few years, the fey started secretly taking her on trips to various cities, using Leepo as cover to gather more information on the civilizations of big folk. Usually regarded as a street urchin, Leepo quickly learned to adapt to her surroundings, whatever they may be. Recently a stranger, who apparently had been watching her, hidden in the shadows, approached her. Promising great things for her future, he insisted that she join Magaambya to study and enhance her skills. Her fey guardians agreed, and further encouraged this change. Without even giving it much thought, she agreed to this grand new adventure...

Leepo casts a grease spell (orange rectangle) to keep the enemy at a distance. Scritch flys a short distance further and fires a bolt at orange.

Sorry - it was a crazy end to the week, and I couldn't even get posts in to let you know I was travelling. Back now, but will be gone Tuesday - Sunday. Moving forward was perfect - but Scritch can fly, and would have taken a more direct route, so update location on map accordingly.

Leepo slides up next to Jada.

"Think about how much damage these undead will due to the natural order. Nature and the undead are about as polar opposite as one can get. We cannot let these undead creatures turn the tide."

Leepo sees which way the wind is blowing, and jumps up behind Dekion. "You are so modest, warrior! I have seen this man destroy seemingly more powerful foes with no fear!"

Intimidate Aid: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Unfortunately, Scritch has a tendency to disrupt diplomatic approaches, usually by stealing something in the meeting....

Aid Leepo with Sense Motive: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12

Leepo respects Medda, and recalls some of the recent lecture she attended.

"Medda, you know there is more at stake here than just the tribe, right? Think back to the religious history that has kept you true to your course for so long. "

"Glad we could help! Now, where are the rest of your tribe?"

Leepo moves forward and tosses a bomb at Yellow, taking care to avoid splashing her friends. (using precise bombs)

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Acid Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 = 11

Scritch moves in to watch her back, firing at the zombie to distract it rather than poke it for minimum damage. Then he uses claw and tail to look dangerous.

Aiding Dekion, then moving into a flanking position for Esh (+2 for each of your next attacks).

Combat Aid vs AC 10: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Scritch and Leepo move next to each other, and head around the side.

They ready actions to throw bombs at teh undead, should they come closer (within 20' range).

Leepo pulls out two vials as she moves forward. Scritch moves forward, crossbow ready, but holds his fire.

For the Zombies, let's go with Weaknesses. For the necrocraft things, how about Special Attacks and Resistances.

"Looks like that session I sat in is paying off already!"

Scritch delays to move with Leepo (and let the bigger meat shields get into place).

Leepo and scritch stand readied to fire crossbows at any orc that comes close to the caravan.

Readied Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Scritch's Readied Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Leepo and Scritch move to use the cliff for cover as they stick close to the caravan.

Leepo will grab the whatever loot no one else claims, and get ready to move on.

"Defend the caravan. Seems like the only real choice."

Scritch flaps around to get a clear shot, and fires. But it does no good.

Hey! Congrats on the boons! I haven't seen many won this year, so happy to see two wins here.

Leepo moves closer and throws an acid bomb at the big guy.

That's good, because I have had very little luck posting. Thanks for botting Leepo and Scritch - I have been along for the ride, but keep losing posts.

Scritch moves in for a shot from the side, and shoots at the big blue one.

I am thinking archers, or I think we can push on to the leaders if we prefer.

Leepo pulls out her crossbow and tries a shot. Not even close!

I am going to be out for the next few days recovering from a surgery. I am unsure of the recovery time, but I hope to be back in a few days, a week at the latest. Please feel free to bot me while I am gone.

Generally, Leepo will throw acid bombs and Scritch will shoot bolts. If there are a lot of opponents, Leepo will dismiss Scritch and start using summon spells to get some more critters on the board, usually to help others with flanking.

Athletics for Leepo please.

"OK, Scritch. I hear ol' Graffa wants to be impressed by self-sufficiency. Let's show her some."

Leepo approaches, cocky as can be, Scritch following behind rolling his eyes.

"What task can I perform for you today? I am quite agile!" She pronounces is "ah-gee-lay".

"I'll go see this Mirtgog of the Murdered Child. I have a feeling he will appreciate my skills."

Leepo and Scritch wander off to approach this orc leader, striding right in. Hearing that he appreciates stealth, they make the approach that way, sneaking up to him.

Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

"Hell, great Mirtgog!"

"And a keen fashion sense! Where did you get that fur?"

"Seeing as my bombs are no good, let me try something else."

Dekion -you don't have to apply -5 to the crit damage since it is part of the same attack.

Scritch moves around to get behind the devil. Knowing he can't do much to it, he at least tries to prove a distraction to give others flanking if they need it.

Full defense

I don't know how I missed that! In that case, change the bomb from acid to fire, and instead of resistances, lets do AC.

I would like to know resistances and special defenses, but I won't wait for it since we are pressed for time.

Leepo throws a bomb at the creature, excluding any friendlies.

Scritch flaps idly by behind Leepo, nodding his head in agreement.

"I knew some of this stuff must have been stolen!"

Assuming that diplomacy check will do the trick...

"Ack! This is frustrating, but we are doing it! Keep trying!"

Leepo's distraction costs her, and she is momentarily baffled by the runes.

Scritch continues with his approach, though no more effective.

Leepo attempts to decypher any meaning in the runes.

Scritch tries to dodge some of the fake fire damage.

Scritch flies up to the runes and tries something to see if he can disable them.

I am good either way, but I expect not all groups can handle the runes, so we should give it a try.

Leepo moves through the door she saw Scritch use, and then grabs a few vials off her belt and throws the created bomb at the red banner.

"Oh, yah, the Blakros Museum. You know, I met Nigel Aldain once. He runs the place. Used to be a Pathfinder, but no more... still he tends to loan artifacts, and sometimes information, so still a friend to us all, I think."

"I heard he has put a new exhibit together. He has obsessively researched the Shining Crusade for the past several months. Supposed to be pretty cool, if you're into that kind of thing."

"Yah, that's just somethin' they say to keep everyone in line."

"Make sure you get my good side. If you aren't sure, it's the outside... get it? Cause a person's guts aren't pretty."

Also correct on the Eidolon, and even though it resembles a flying serpent more than anything else, Leepo will insist that it is her "dog".

"I am having a great time here. The food is excellent! And while the lectures are sort of boring, I was watching a couple of physical sport contests, and they can be hilarious! Gotta watch out for Scritch, though. He tends to get into trouble places like this." The smile on Scritches face widens quite unnaturally. He winks, but says nothing.

Just a forewarning to everyone, this duo is not really optimized for much. Unlike many Eidolon's, Scritch is of limited use in combat, being more stealth oriented. He makes a great scout, however, but with limited range (due to distance from Leepo). Leepo will usually pretend to be dumb (and even shows disdain for scholarly types), but she is really fairly intelligent and brings some decent knowledge skills to the table. She also really likes to blow things up.

"Some books tasty. Not for learning, just hungry!" Scritch responds, purring a bit as the new girl rubs his heads. Small wings appear and flap slowly.

"Yah, that's right Scritch. We don't need no book learnin', do we?"
