Can someone clarify this character option from Blood of the Beast for me? What feats does this exactly give me access too? I gave this to a lvl 11 skald with the Oratory versatile performance, does he qualify for Weapon Specialization now?
Martial Performance (Ex): The bard chooses one weapon belonging to a fighter weapon group that is associated with a Perform skill he has selected with versatile performance (see below). He gains proficiency with this weapon. If the bard is already proficient with this weapon or later becomes proficient with it, he gains Weapon Focus with that weapon as a bonus feat instead. In addition, the bard’s effective fighter level is equal to 1/2 his bard level for the purpose of qualifying for feats that specifically select weapons from those Perform skills’ associated fighter weapon groups. The types of Perform skills and their associated fighter weapon groups are: Act (close, double), Comedy (flails, thrown), Dance (monk, spears), Keyboard Instruments (hammers, siege engines), Oratory (heavy blades, light blades), Percussion (close, hammers), Sing (close, natural), String (axes, bows), and Wind (monk, thrown).
Haha, thanks, first time for everything I guess! That's pretty much what I was looking for. I messed about a bit in photoshop and created this.
Lavender poster
Did anyone ever create a flyer handout for Lavender's Luxurious Liniment from the second book? Might be a cool way for my PC's to come across this adventure hook.
Hi, can you please cancel my AP subscription after #144? I do currently have a pending subscription order for #144 and #145, but if possible I would like to cancel #145, as my group is planning on sticking with Pathfinder.
Recruitment is closed now. Here's the updated list of submissions I'll be considering. Again, let me know if I missed anyone.
Vedika Bhatia - vishkanya ranger (sword devil)
Giorgio “Sunset” Karakos - half-elf inquisitor (infiltrator)
Thorfinn Wyrmblod - human ranger (urban ranger, Sable Company Marine)
Gadren - human cleric of Pharasma
Griar Brand - human aerokineticist 1/vigilante 1
Alistair Wellington II - human swashbuckler
Morde Chai - half-elf occultist
Cataria Ghita - human oracle (prophet)
Algund Neithan - human paladin
Nicholas Davenport - human (Chelaxian) brawler
Finneas Entwhistle - gnome bard (prankster)
Finneas Entwhistle wrote: Kris Vanhoyland wrote: Finneas Entwhistle wrote: hey, I know this closes soon and I should be done in a few hours here, but I'd like to submit Finneas Entwhistle, Gnome Prankster. One quick question: are you open to VMC? It's not crucial to his character, I just thought it might be fun to try out VMC? Sorry, variant multi-class. It's where you get traits of one of the major classes every other odd level. I was thinking a bard with magus traits could be fun. No idea how that works exactly, so I'm gonna say no.

Here's the lineup of (nearly) completed submissions. Recruitment is still open for a few days, and I'll decide who makes the cut this weekend. Currently looking for at least 3, possibly even 4 people, so everyone has a good chance at being selected.

@Joseph Okay on the Soulknife, I will expect a decent background though.
Are those the Psionics rules from Dreamscarred Press? I have the book, I'll have a look at it and let you know.
Hey all, so far there are two players who still haven't replied, so we're probably looking for at least 3 new players.
Since our GM for this campaign has gone missing, I'll be taking over running the game. Since this leaves us at least one player short (perhaps two), I'll be re-opening recruitment for the game for at least 2 players, possibly three.
Creation rules are as follows, mostly in line with the original ones so as to match the current players. Recruitment will remain open until Friday, July 7th.
- Ability Scores: 1:1 20 Point Buy. Meaning each score increase only costs 1 point. No score above 18, or below 8 before racial modifiers.
- Starting Level: 2nd
- Classes: All Paizo (except Antipaladin; Unchained Summoner Only; Unchained Monk, Rogue, and Barbarian preferred).
- Races: All Paizo (except Drow, Duergar, and Svirfneblin) are acceptable. Note that almost the entire campaign takes place in an urban setting (Korvosa), so personally I will give preference to races that fit in here, though I can be swayed by a convincing backstory.
- Alignment: Any non-evil.
- HP and Starting Gold: Max HP for all levels and Max Starting Gold.
- Traits: Two traits, drawbacks are allowed for an extra trait. Personally I wouldn't bother anymore with the campaign traits, since the campaign has progressed beyond the point where these can be personally resolved by players. However, if you do want to incorporate them into your backstory, they can be found here.
- Background: I expect a decent background to be provided. Players start in Korvosa, and the first small chapter of the campaign has concluded (we've just hit level 2). A little bit more info is provided in the spoiler tag below. Preference will be given to characters that have ties with the city of Korvosa.
- Other Rules: Background Skills will be used.
The current party consists of:
Human evoker wizard
Aasimar investigator (sleuth)
Human oracle (occult)
Half-elf dragonrider
Dotting for interest, working on the backstory for a tiefling cleric of Asmodeus.
Any guidelines on pantheons, are you using the standard Golarion deities? I know Razor Coast is big on Pele. Are you allowing options from the Freebooter's guide?
The two races you mentioned from it are the Dajobasu and Menehune, although those last ones are more like gnomes than dwarves.
Very interested in Razor Coast, went pretty heavy in the Kickstarter but haven't yet given it a thorough look (story of my life).
Player Name: Kris Vanhoyland
Character Name: Risa Whitby
PFS ID: 23847-7
Faction: Silver Crusade
Day job: Heal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
I'll bring my oracle to the table, I'll put a dot in the Gameplay thread and check her statblock to see if it's up to date.
Hi guys, I can join in if you want. I can bring anyone of these:
Lvl 3 cleric
Lvl 3 warpriest
Lvl 3 oracle of life
Lvl 4 bard
Lvl 4 bloodrager
My bloodrager has played Hall of the Flesheaters in the past, but I believe we have 2 melee (monks) already?
Looking for a game, can field several (non-core) characters at the moment;
Lvl 2 gunslinger
Lvl 3 cleric
Lvl 3 warpriest
Lvl 3 oracle of life
Lvl 4 bard
Lvl 4 bloodrager
Lvl 5 conjurer
Lvl 5 barbarian
lvl 9 fighter/Hellknight
GM Darth Rancor wrote: @Twistlok: 1:1 is when you spend one point to increase a stat by 1 with no scaling cost. So 10->11 costs one point as does 17->18.
Might roll up a tiefling inquisitor.
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 2) = 11
1d100 ⇒ 51
1d100 ⇒ 60
This seems interesting, do you have a preference for alignments?
Going to submit a warpriest, coming up with a backstory now.
1d8 ⇒ 7
Been very interested in Curse of the Crimson Throne, let's see what I can come up with.
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 2) = 16 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 2) = 14 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 1) = 10 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 4) = 12 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 6) = 17 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 1) = 14 = 15
2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
1d6 ⇒ 4
1d6 ⇒ 4
Please cancel my Modules and Player Companion subscriptions, thanks.
It seems that the halfling pregen, Joliryn, has an inconsistency in her statblock. It says everywhere that she has a scimitar, including her weapon focus feat and her art, but the offense section lists a +1 flaming kukri, with a +12 attack bonus, which seems to include the weapon focus feat.
Thanks for these, you're a lifesaver!
Thanks, you guys are spoiling us rotten!
Hi, could you recheck this? I've just received the e-mail that my next subscription order is pending, but I can't see the Familiar Folio in it.
My party is currently undertaking the daunting task of exploring and surviving the Runeforge complex, and I'd like some advice regarding two things.
Several spoilers below!
1—How to deal with player deaths.
They are currently trapped in Runeforge, having no spells to get them out, nor having discovered any of the other ways out either. The party consists of a monk, blade-bound magus, skirmisher ranger, sorcerer, and a hedge witch with a cleric cohort. At the moment they have explored the Abjurant Halls, the Iron Cages of Lust, and the Shimmering Veils.
Delvahine is still alive, along with three of her alu-demon children. Delvahine finds their presence in Runeforge amusing, and she is toying with them. The PCs know they need a particular item from her, and Delvahine has made a proposition, which they haven't agreed yet on.
They've cleared the Shimmering Veils, and have recovered Vraxeris' journal. In the process however, the simulacrums have killed the ranger's animal companion, the sorcerer PC, and the cleric cohort. The witch has managed to raise his cohort and the sorcerer, but they have no diamonds to cast more raise dead spells.
I'm pretty sure there will be more PC deaths as they explore the rest of Runeforge, since they barely averted two more deaths the previous session (this time, the witch and his cleric cohort) during the mummy ambush in the necromancy wing, where they've gone next.
I like the idea of replacing fallen PCs with some of the polymorphed goldfish from the Vault of Greed, but from player banter, I've come to understand they plan to visit that wing last.
2—Arkrhyst's actions in Runeforge.
Before entering the Runeforge portal, they've failed to actually kill Arkrhyst, who followed them into the Runeforge portal invisibly. I'd like some advice on how he would act. My initial thought would be that he would be intrigued by this place, and would probably explore the Vault of Greed or the Halls of Wrath. Greed because, well, he's a dragon, and dragons love to hoard stuff, or Wrath because he had to watch the party steal his entire hoard.
I'm sure other GMs have dealt with these two things, and I'd love to know how you did it.
Hi,
I received a subscription order today, but it was missing the Pathfinder Player Companion: Familiar Folio. Included with it instead was the Iron Gods Poster Map Folio.
Hi Paizo team,
I have a completed order from a while back, that according to confirmation e-mails has shipped on October 24th, but to date, I haven't gotten anything yet. Two of my orders that were made after this one have already arrived weeks ago.
Hi, I have a pending order (3362101) of some subscription items. Would it be possible to split this order up into two shipments as below, so they don't get held up in overseas customs?
Shipment #1:
Pathfinder—City of Secrets #6 (paizo.com Exclusive)
Pathfinder Module: Plunder & Peril
Shipment #2:
Pathfinder Adventure Path #88: Valley of the Brain Collectors (Iron Gods 4 of 6)
Pathfinder Player Companion: Ranged Tactics Toolbox (PFRPG)
Thanks!
Thanks everyone! We've been having a regular monthly PFS event locally for the past year and a half or so, and we're still hoping to grow. Before that I ran games at home, and I'm also usually running several PBF games on RPGGeek.com.
Maarten, I've sent you a PM.
Yeah, Brodert is definitely my fall-to guy if I need to put them back on track.
First off, this post contains numerous spoilers.
So, my players are at the start of book #5. Karzoug adressed them through Mokmurian in the previous book, and they found the handout hinting at the existence of the Runeforge.
They're currently engaged in a pretty brutal fight against the Scribbler. They already fled to the surface once when two party members left them behind because of the suggestion trap at the door. They returned the same day, and the Scribbler attacked them, assisted by some summoned demons. The ranger died to him, and got saved by a breath of life from the cleric, and the Scribbler used his dimension door ability to retreat when his hp started to go down. They're currently planning to go after him, and are very eager to kill this very annoying enemy.
Which is where my issue comes in. During their exploration, the Scribbler asked them a lot of questions, and in turn, allowed them to ask questions of their own. The only thing they found out is pretty much that he's old, dating back to Thassilonian times, and got brought back into this world by Lamashtu herself.
I gave my players ample opportunities to ask questions, but they don't seem to know what to ask. No Who are you, what is your name, what is this place, what do these weird rhymes mean (they found 2 out of 5), what is Runeforge, how do we defeat Karzoug, or anything of that like. Their reasoning is that since this guy is evil, they shouldn't really be giving him any information.
Now, my players are all quite new to RPGs, this being their first long-term campaign, and they're pretty much acting like the typical murder hobos: kill first, ask questions lat—oh wait, he's dead, fancy that. I foresee that they'll kill the Scribbler, and then wonder what they're supposed to do next, and I doubt they'll think of speak with dead.
Now, personally, I'm inclined to just let him die, and then watch them squirm for a bit as they realize they don't know what to do next or where to go from there. At their current course, I think they're gonna need some big flashing neon-signs soon, which I'm loathe to do.
I'd like to know how other GMs would deal with this situation. Should I have the Scribbler parlay with them, and forcefeed them the information they need? I just don't think that would be in his nature to do.
Any idea when this will be back in stock?
I came up with a pretty neat concept for a WoW article today—I'll find the time to write it up over the weekend and send it over.
Want to throw in my support for Goodreader as well, been using it for a year, and am very pleased with it.
I saw on the Wayfinder FB page that there's gonna be a limited print run of #10, how would I go about getting my hands on a copy? It's my first ever publication in there, and would love to have a physical copy.
What should we fill in on the chronicle sheets in the Event and Event Code line?

Venziir, that actually looks like an Aldori Swordlord from Inner Sea Codex... That is indeed an Aldori Swordlord, I think that art piece is from the newly released Inner Sea Combat campaign setting book.
As for what they're fighting, with the long neck it kind of looks like a spectral jabberwock. It's probably something else though.
