Just checking my point buy

6 points in dexterity (16), 6 points in constitution (16), 8 points in intelligence (18).
6+6+8=20.
Maybe I'v made an error elsewhere, but I think the point buy is correct.

Ah, HeroLab is giving me ABP as a level 9 character, not a level 11 character, which is why my INT is a little low and I bet why it looks like an 18 PB. Will Fix.

Heres what I have for now. Hero Lab makes things messy, but everything_should_ be fine. I'm not entirely sure about my flavor and might refine it a little, but for now, I'm happy with how she feels at the moment.

"Personally, I would prefer exploring the area, and looking for suitable lodging for the night. Kiara doesn't appear to be too shaken by the idea that a horse might have been hung, it wasn't like she was unaware of worse things that she had head of. Like Yasmine, she remains quietly dubious, though she is too polite to say so.

Kiara follows into her shared room, and quietly examines the room. Truth be told, the room was much more lavish than she was used to, although it reminded her of another time, which was more than a little unsettling. After taking a moment to freshen up, Kiara follows Yazmine out of the room, and down for dinner, deciding that with the possibility of supernatural events happening while inside the building, it was best to stick together.

"Yes indeed, I wonder who prefers to wear the pants in that particular relationship", she responds, the hint of a smile curling around her mouth, before turning back toward the young man serving them. "I would also appreciate seeing our own room...if you could be so kind"

With all her usual trademark diplomacy and tact, Kiara points at the rope behind the receptionist. "Is that the same rope that the bloke who used to own this place used to hang himself?" she enquires, delighted for another opportunity to make these people even more uncomfortable.

"Wonderful", Kiara remarks, still slightly skeptical but reassured that the gentleman at least knows how to run an establishment. Still concerned with spirits, Kiara hesitates at the threshold, before shrugging and walking on through. Its not like I haven't handled worse she reflects.

"Well thats a weight of my shoulders, knowing that two of us can safely handle any undead we come across, especially since most of them would probably laugh at most of the magic that I have prepared" Kiara responds, slight anxious about heading into a haunted area, but still slightly reassured by some of the groups confidence.

Slightly, frustrated about her failure to learn anything about the previous town they had stayed at, Kiara attempts to do better this time, trying to learn what she could. The childish drawings did not impress her in the slightest, wondering if the people in this town were a little slower than others.

"Don't wait up for me", Kiara responds with a soft smile as she slips off the boat (when its moored). Having never heard of the town before, and being largely unfamiliar with it, Kiara wanders the shanty town (if she walks into anything I'll rp it out), learning the essentials, its strengths, its weaknesses, and so on. Worst case scenario, she decides, she learns something that might be useful if she ends up ruling the area, best case scenario, she learns something that at some point could end up saving her life. Information was cheep, but it was also power.

After wandering the town, learning what she could, Kiara returns to the boat to stay the night.

Kiara looks up from eying the dark waters as they slipped through them, addressing the captains question. "Unfortunately, I haven't had much experience piloting large unwieldy boats down scary unfamiliar rivers, so unless its easier than it looks, I believe stopping is the only option that remains to us".

Kiara follows the others onto the boat, quietly handing over 20 gold without a fuss, still slightly bemused at the lengths some of er allies were going to in order to get their horses and carriage onto the boat. Deciding that if they did indeed need to protect the ship from scary horrors, familiarity would be a good starting point, Kiara explores the ship so that in a time of stress, she could locate what she needed quickly and easily.

Kiara prefers a sleep in most days, and today is no exception, sleeping in for as long as she could, giving her precisely enough time to fulfill all her other duties before she headed off. Leaving her bed, Kiara strips, and cleans herself and her clothing, before redressing and abusing a quick prestidigitation spell to provide a pleasant aroma, substituting for perfume. Leaving the room, and the tavern Kiara allows herself a small flash of superiority. It was always satisfying after staying in a dingy place to come out smelling like a rose (literally so in this case), and walk out in better condition than she entered.

After having a light breakfast and buying suitable essentials such as food and so on, Kiara finally joins the others on the dock. Smiling happily, she listens quietly, before hearing the beginnings of a discussion. "So, did I miss anything important?"

"That's my cue", Kiara responds dryly, also standing up from the table, and following close on the heels of Yazmine. Heading in the direction of the innkeeper, Kiara talks quietly with him for a moment, before heading up to her room.

Common Knowledge:

1. Born in Nidal, and the last true heir to her (currently weak) noble House.

2. Almost never speaks of her parents, it is believed that they did not survive shortly after their daughter was taken to Dusk Hall

3. Skilled Shadowcaster, and served in the Midnight Guard in Westcrown for a short time.

4. Currently unattached, although this seems more due to a lack of interest on her part.

5. Spent the last few years travelling lightly and travelling fast, drifting from town to town, returning to Ardis only recently.

Rumors:

1. Some claim that she left the Midnight Guard for covert operations, hunting down and eliminating any member that was not a "true believer"

2. Experienced a crisis of faith and no longer worships Zon-Kuthon.

3. Had a close relationship with a women known only as Myrkr, an infamous Shadowcaster active in Nidal and Westcrown, who was leader of the Midnight Guard at the same time as Kiara was a member. Most notable for wielding unparalleled amounts of power and a lack of mercy, brutally repressing anyone who stood in her way. Myrkr is notably no longer active in Westcrown, departing for unknown reason's of her own.

"I wouldn't know", Kiara responds smoothly. "I spent most of my time elseware, so the specifics of this region are hidden from me".

Kiara is quiet for a moment, before coming back to something Chester had remarked on. "If the road is blocked, wouldn't it be best during our restoration of the ledge, to remove such barriers in any case?"

Kiara relents though upon hearing Aldric groan. She was mostly playing anyway, pushing buttons, that sort of thing.

"I could turn invisible and investigate the Lodge fairly easily one would think. Unless whatever (if anything) lives there has other means of detection, in which case I humbly suggest someone big, strong, and ideally small minded lead the way into the complex. I'll have your back. Probably."

You misunderstand the tactic. Fireball does NOT go through solid walls, if it hits something, it detonates prematurely. Period. This means that if I come up against a fireball abusing mage, I can ready an action to cast a wall spell right in front of his face if he chooses to cast a fireball. So ---> Mage prepares to use Fireball ---> Readied Action goes off ---> Wall spell manifests in front of the mage ---> Fireball hits and detonates. Its a completely legal tactic, the only downside being the fact that if the wizard picks say, Lightning Bolt, your readied action doesn't trigger, and you just wasted your action.

I think the scenario is moot. An illusionary wall would (I imagine) block Line of Effect, ergo, you cannot center a fireball on a target behind a wall. If the wizard knows that its an illusionary wall (via saving or spellcraft), then he can prolly Fireball right through on tho.

Thanks to the Shadowcaster Wizard ability, shadow spells are treated as 20% more real, ergo if I cast Shades to mimic Web, then IT IS Web. Its 100% real. The Solid Shadow's metamagic also grants a 20% increase as to whether the spell is treated as real, which means that Greater Shadow Conjuration / Evocation are also treated as 100% real.
