Kiara Alina was an orphan, never knowing her true parents, entrusted to the care of the elves of the Calistrian temple in Absalom. At first, the revolation that she didn't know who her parents were greatly troubled Kiara, but being a fairly practical child, decided the apparent mystery wasn't of huge importance to her, she had a de facto family, and that was all that mattered two her. Of course, a Calistrian Temple was hardly the most appropriate place for Kiara, so as soon as she became of age, Kiara was sent to the magical colleges that had made Absalom one of the cornerstones of magical tutoring. Kiara discovered she had a talent for illusionary magic, the ability to trick, manipulate, fool and deceive making her out as an exceptionally crafty spellcaster. While some classmates focused on raw finesse or straightforward power in their chosen fields, Kiara attempted to focus heavily on her creativity, before eventually branching out into shadow magic, concentrating on the unusual nature of Absalom, for the city contained a shadow city on a separate plane. Rising through the ranks, Kiara set herself the target of attempting to honor the Temple that had supported her schooling, assisting in the costs of enrollment by attempting to become a Spell Lord of Absalom, the goal was a lofty one but a target Kiara felt that she could eventually achieve. It was around about this time, when Kiara began to hear the whispers of The Last Disciple, a man claiming to be a chosen of Aroden. The claim was extraordinary and unusual, and Kiara was immediately skeptical. She decided that as a master deceiver herself, it would take one as skilled as herself to spot a manipulator, and resolved to get to the bottom of the apparent mystery, to determine if the man was a true follower, or instead, a tricky charlatan. Appearance:
Kiara is a slim human of average height, with long black hair. Her eyes are a dark brown, almost black, with her skin being in sharp contrast, being fairly pale. Kiara frequently wears a long robe with a hood, as well as a veil, allowing her to swiftly leave only her eyes visible, although it is far more common for her to have her hood down, and veil tucked to one side. Kiara naturally prefers dark clothing, feeling uncomfortable in anything brighter. |
