I did not see anything on the Paizo blog post, nor do far on these forums, about all 1e information being taken down from aonprd? I still much prefer playing 1e over 2e, I bought heavily into it right before 2e was announced, but even owning pdfs and physical books, aonprd has been an indispensable resource for me, just as a way to easily connect the disparate information, AND to learn WHICH source books I need to invest in! (Especially for Organized Play) Why is there no information about the blocking of 1e content on AoN? Do people just... not care? Is it an extension of the issues with Wizards of the Coast?

If someone wants to give an in character summary of your experiences so far, I can pass it on to the GM's thread to be shared. I would love to hear about the Dark Archive puzzle one we didn't end up with time to do?

I concur with Angus, they both have benefits - so play your preference. Really my only concern might be if the level 4 would raise the difficulty tier for everyone else or not? But that is a GM question, (I only just realized Grelthe is technically out of tier, so now I'm waffling back to Keiko. I will decide by end of day, regardless. UGH.

Disable Device, Knowledge (Dungeoneering), Linguistics, Sense Motive, & Stealth probably the most usefult Skills from your Rogue Arioch. Cleric Angus doesn't look like he has any Knowledge Skills? Even Religion? My characters:
But if I do take Grelthe, she does have quite a few skills, AND her Skald level can share Rage, which could be cool for your Barb (& any other STR based classes), but we wouldn't really NEED 3 partial healers either. So stick with what you want.
Keiko has Acrobatics, Handle Animal, Ride, Knowledge (History), Knowledge (Local), & Stealth.

This is an excellent point. ONLY Keiko, the Zen Archer could not use a wand of CLW, having no spells and a UMD of 0.

Hello, hello! I'm trying to figure out what type of character to bring. It looks like we have:
I see we don't really have a magic user in the group, but I don't really play magic characters, OOPS. My only magic character: My Magus Valentina sacrifices some spellcasting, so only gets 2 level 1 spells a day. Maud (Shaman) & Zehameti (Bard) have a mild splash of magic, but really mostly only to benefit their own combat. I'm open to suggestions: Grelthe or Keiko would probably be my default RP first choices? My only character that isn't Melee-focused in combat would be my Zen Archer Monk, Keiko, which is worth mentioning since it seems we have 4 melee people? (She DOES have Precise Shot) Grelthe, the Singing Paladin - Half-Orc Paladin (Holy Tactician) 2 / Skald (Dragon Skald) 1 - (Diplomacy Specialist; Sailing background)
@GM Batpony - any faction allegiances for this adventure?
Hey y'all - I added my character to the google spreadsheet, but just for good measure will post here, too. I like to replay versions of characters I already have strong RP for, so those are:
I would be interested in FIRST edition APs Skull & Shackles (either character), or Second Darkness (Althea only; RP her unknown dad is a character from that AP)
Father's Identity:
Unknown to her, her father is Zarineth, also known as 'Swallowtail,' a leader of the Lantern Bearers/Shin'Rakorath. I have only really played one AP before, and didn't finish (not my fault, group fell apart). Currently in 2e Kingmaker (home game). I miss 1e.

Ah, since Bards for Celtics play must have INT15, that is in ADDITION to other requirements, yes? (Or replacing?) So since my basic roll only had one number above 14, I could not make a bard because they require both 15 INT & 15 CHA? (Unless I used the alternate pregen numbers) If replacing, then:
OKAY so - I'm certain you probably have enough players, AND I have no idea how to play 2e, BUT - I'm incredibly curious as a student of Celtic & Gaelic history, so rolling numbers just for funsies to try to figure it out. :) 1: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2) = 11
Gift: 1d20 ⇒ 10 (none, boo)
alternate bard stats for fun #1: 1d6 ⇒ 3
pregen ranger stats for fun #1: 1d12 ⇒ 12 =STR16, DEX13, CON16, INT13, WIS14, CHA13 For race, if we wanted to do Sidhe /High Elf, that would just be the basic Elf stats in PHB, right? I don't see any additional info in the Celt specific book
Hello friends! I was notified about the 09-00 special for the Bridge the Gap convention by the lovely and considerate G4lkun! Looking at the other 1e game options, I was disappointed. I started 1e late, right before 2e, and am still trying to get the base # of 5 games in certain seasons to unlock the background boons for 2e, but almost all of my characters are VERY low level (bottom starting tier). So - if anyone ends up running a LOW-level scenario from:
PLEASE send me a message either here or through Discord even better! (I'm interested in other seasons as well, of course, but those are the ones I am struggling to find, and have characters that could use the boons.)
Hello! I don't understand why so many backgrounds are impossible to access, and not included in boons - they are all structured the same, so I can't see why they would be considered 'unfair' or 'overpowered'? Specifically, I would LOVE: "Songsinger in Training" (uncommon background) from "Quest for the Frozen Flame Player's Guide" and/or "Martial Musician" (uncommon background) from "Battlecry!"
(or just more generically a boon for uncommon backgrounds in Battlecry! could also work) Thank you for listening! I just wanna make a SKALD, man!

Hello - um, is there a way to add this campaign to like, a tracking list or something? I didn't know if existed, and apparently missed out on a signup because players had pre-signed up here instead of on the outpost google doc or RPGchronicles, which was very confusing I wish to not miss those opportunities in the future
So it sounds like you already have a few great choices for replacement players BUT JUST IN CASE - I haven't played Pathfinder for awhile and level 1 is pretty easy to whip up, and I have 3 characters whose personalities & histories could easily be rewritten to be a cleric of Besmara (or Warpriest? Is Warpriest also an option?) Option 1 - "Grelthe" Half-Orc/Half-Ulfen STR/CHA musclehead learned sailing as a Thrall-slave in the Ironbound Archipelago (previously Holy Tactician Paladin of Kurgess & Dragon Skald)
Option 2 - "Althea" Half-Elf/Half-Varisian DEX/INT sneaky Skill Monkey with a heart of gold (previously Unchained Rogue & Shadowdancer)
Option 3 - "Nelimyn (Neli)" (originally 5e) Undine CON/STR/WIS Naive XenoAnthropologist nerd (& kinda Disney Princess stereotypes from animal friendlies) originally a 5e Triton Tempest Cleric/Druid multiclass.

Hello! I am late to realizing this con was starting, haha But I do have a character I think might be good for this, I think she's a level 2 (possibly 3) Magus
Might be too low level for the other characters
Thanks

However if that is what you want to do then more power to you. It is so deliciously ironic. :) The way my luck has been going, I will NEVER be able to get any of my 1e PFS character that high level. Ever. (My highest character is only 5, the next highest is 3. I've been playing on and off since 2017, so 5 years.) So that's an irrelevant concern for me. I try to pick scenerios based on RP theming that make sense for each character, which is probably part of my issue. But even after opening another low level table for the Con special, now it's CORE only, so I still can't play it. ((Shrug)) I appreciate the paizo staff trying to be flexible and expand offering based on interest, but apparently I'm just not the... majority customer, if that makes sense. There aren't enough other players in my category, and since it's a group activity I will always be left behind. I guess I just need to let go of this format :(
Anyway, everyone else have fun with the con and specials. Thank you paizo staff for being awesome, as usual. And explaining stuff to me.
Thank you for the wealth of information and explanation. previous quotes with bolded sections:

Oh. It looks like the link is no longer working. Maybe it is too late to sign up to GM a special? At least using that method Tyranius wrote: If you wish to volunteer to GM one of the three Specials please fill out our Multi-Table Specials GM Registration Says "The form Gameday XI GM Form (Specials) is no longer accepting responses. Thank you for the response. #1: where/how would one make "requests and inquiries" because as someone with ONLY low level characters I have definitely been feeling the lack of options over the last year or so in ALL con availability. I would like to "complain" as loud as the high level people who already understand how all this works, please ;) #2: I asked if it was lack of GMs because it's far enough in advance I might try volunteering myself, but have never run a multi table special soooo.... if that's the only way my character can get the "experience" (AKA chronicle sheet) then I'm willing.
And me waiting so long for certain adventures to be run has only let my 1e characters fall further and further behind other "the herd" I guess :( I know some specials require so many GM stars or whatever - I don't think think one has requirements though, correct? I will check out the GM sign-up links for more info Thank you

I may be missing something, but it seems like the 1e special is missing certain subtiers? Is that due to a lack of GMs, or what? If I have a character that is a level not listed in the subtier options, should I just add them to the waitlist? Or no? Thank you

If we make an error somewhere in the scenario, we still expect everyone to follow the cap on the chronicle sheet to the letter. Your day job roll adds to this total, however.
