Yeah, Organized play can sometimes lack in the deep roleplaying so it refreshing for me to see people really get into the grit.

"I have no reason to distrust Fayetta for she pointed us to Mengian, he was shortsighted and only cared to attack those working alongside the Eoxians. She has more insight." Kharos decides to put his own effort into protecting the Sarcesians.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

"It isn't an easy choice and could risk my own life but that is a daily dealing here. I will ask to represent Eoxian interests in the Absalom trial to ensure they do not dig deeper into the remaining Sarcesians. Then perhaps another trip in the future to speak to Fayetta will be in order."

As Kharos feels his energy swell to a climax, he unleashes a torrent of energy consuming the area around him. Photonic wisps swirl around and claw at the Sarcesian.

Fire Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2) = 9 DC 13 Reflex to Halve damage.

"Dying is not a choice when I still have work to do." he says while shifting sideways during the explosion.

"Well, saved me from having to climb this thing again." Kharos smiles as he runs around the rock then bursts into a sprint as his body is encased in photonic energy.

Kharos moves up against the red rock and forms his solar weapon, a bladed staff of umbral energy.

"Well, you had a chance. Now your mission will be carried on by those with calmer minds." he scolds.

"You aren't the only ones who have problem with the Eoxians but making an enemy of the Starfinders isn't the right path to dealing with them. You want allies and more strength? Right?" Kharos says, following the advice of his companions and walks forward with his mote floating around his head still.

"When we act without all the facts, innocents die and we fail at our missions. I know this all too well and Fayetta has begun to understand it as well. Let me speak with you, Mengian, away from lifeless eyes even if I must do so alone...before more join them." Kharos says attempting parley before it comes to more death.

Oh I forgot to put it back on there when I updated with HeroLab as he leveled. To be brief with it: Kharos was arrested for some rather zealous plots to kill/destroy companies turning the once-living into undead. If it wasn't for some Pharasmins he would likely be dead but instead he is effectively in indentured servitude. He is a diplomat between Eox and the Pact Worlds/Starfinders forced to put on a pretty face. He isn't happy with it but it affords him opportunities.

"With that, I agree Dytabail. Mengian's Wings must be clipped but the rest I am not so sure of. I will be glad to finally be free of these wastes either way." Kharos says as they make the trek.

"Remember, each of these vehicles can hold quite a few people and that rock in the center could hold a sharpshooter." he whispers as they move in on the site.

"The Eoxians have killed many innocents regardless of their current status in the Pact worlds and are an abhorrent kink in the cog of the cycle. Their alliance is only one of profit and they would break the peace treaty when the time is right. I only work for them as my life now depends on it." he says breaking his normal demeanor as his old zealotry that got him placed in indentured servitude breaks through.

"If anything the Starfinders look for allies in everyone even opposed forces. And we have a score to settle with Mengian." he adds calming down a little.

"Regardless of what comes next, our task was to stop the killing which if Mengian is behind it...the task is already settled. I agree, Rilynn, that the situation is less than ideal but I have no reason to doubt the Sarcesians anymore than I doubt the Eoxians." Kharos adds while thinking.

"As far as keeping the Wings of Damiar undercover, I agree but that is something we must all come together on. It is best for our superiors at the Starfinder Society decide the next step on that. We can stop Mengian and consider the threat finished for the time being, hopefully no more zealots break off." he finishes.

"I agree with you Fayetta, unofficially, but you are killing people innocent of the Eoxian agenda. Perhaps diplomacy and gaining allies is a better route...and a less painful one. Our arrangement here not only helps us gain some knowledge of what is going on but also lets us maintain surveillance on our tenuous allies as Starfinders." Kharos reasons from the doorway while flashing a small symbol of swirling blue energy that was concealed in his coat.

"This only brings up more questions but I am unsure how much time we will have, I will watch the door while you investigate the holo projector...check that it isn't a trap." Kharos says getting nervous.

"Something tells us with the way these storms work...they may just be on their way to finding us. Perhaps we can find something to our advantage within?" Kharos suggests.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Kharos drops down into a kneel when the electrical explosion sends spasms through his body.

"Something told me they would have something else waiting for us. Everyone alright and did anyone see what happened?" he asks keeping his eyes peeled.

Yeah, put me at the front as the healthiest and that is fine.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

"I can take lead, a precaution in case we have more sharpshooters or threats ahead." Kharos offers still feeling quite healthy.

"I am no friend of the bone sages but we have a mission to see to...and these snipers had an order to kill on sight. The violence is going to continue till this is finished. Looks like we have a lead at least." Kharos says torn between the two feuding parties but ready to head out.

"I would have expected undead creatures being behind this...things may have just gotten more complicated. Perhaps this datapad will enlighten us?" Kharos says picking up the datapad and attempting to access it.

Culture: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 Perhaps I know something a bit more due to working on Eox.

"Now, it is time to make them answer for their assault." Kharos says, his energy pulsing and encasing him in solar energy as he charges forward with his solar staff spinning. He channels the power of his crystal to further empower the attack.

Move: Boost. Standard: Charge.

Stellar Rush Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 1 + 1d3 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 1 + (2) = 10

Kharos continues his sprint towards the closest sniper with the pink tracers.

"Fall in behind me if you are taking hits." he calls out.

Run.

Kharos peels out from behind cover with the others and runs down the path.

"Keep moving, don't let them keep a bead on you." he calls out.

"I...I will lead the way. My past experiences help me handle a bit of pain and I can't let anyone go down. At worst if I start taking too many shots I can fall back a step and let someone else take point. Once at least one of us makes it to them and our magic missile artilleries are in range...they won't have the luxury of taking pot shots." Kharos says agreeing with the plan.

Sorry, been having a lot of technical problems as of late and falling behind in some games.

When the first shots ring out, Kharos begins his sprint towards the rock formations.

Run straight for it.

If we choose to use Run for x4 then the highest AC should definitely go first. Then the others fall in behind. Probably still if we want to use Double Moves to avoid Flat-Footed.

"It is either retreat or move forward. Making it to the rocks shouldn't be to dangerous...but once we get closer things may change." Kharos nods as some of the others get ready to run for it.

"If they adjust their aim...we won't last long like this. We have to move one way or another!" Kharos says not sure what to do but buckles down defensively.

We going to try to get to the middle. Run can get us there in 7ish rounds depending on move speeds but being Flat-Footed while snipers ping at us isn't something I look forward too..

"The storm moved in too fast for me to avoid it completely but it only battered me a bit, I can catch my breath when we report back. Thank you!" he says as the two tend to him.

"Great, the other one is too far. Get to whatever one you can." Kharos says heading towards the one near Tarifa.

"We can only hope there was a forgotten clue but this rock here, what is it? Does it hold value or significance?" he says moving closer with the others and looking over it.

Kharos shares his worries with the others, "A glass cyclone sounds miserable and the mercenaries being hired don't sound plesant either."

Kharos looks to spend his time with the workers, seeking out their areas of respite and relaxation. Using his keen tongue and political saavy he wants to find the rumors and troubles of the workers.

"Hello everyone, I am new to the camp but looking to improve things around here. Have there been any issues arising or even rumors floating about? My office doesn't usually cover these camps but I can get the right people informed."

"I have never ventured out here and I can see there was little reason to. " Kharos remarks as he views the landscape, failing to hide his disgust. He shakes his head and keeps quiet for the rest of the ride.

When they disembark, he nods at the quesion from Rilynn Rae.

"I am no doctor or scientist, the bodies wouldn't help me. I would like to talk to any of those from the teams that have been expanding borders. Have any of them returned?" Kharos asks

"Well, a communication connection can avoid any assumptions about our own intentions. I can't say I have had too many encounters with those from Aballon. Hmm." he thinks before opening the communications channels.

"I have been meaning to pick up one of those Iridescent Spindles so I can get out of the office a bit more. Perhaps now is the time." Kharos muses before ordering a delivery of his aeon stone.

"Yes, it is not a pleasant place. I will do what I can with my connections to drum up any more information as we move." Kharos says in no hurry to return but he quickly begins calling contacts and using favors...which never goes well for him.

Quietly near the edge of the meeting room is a lashunta wearing an official looking suit that seems to absorb the ambient light of the room. Around his head dances a dark mote of energy.

"I know the intricacies of how tenuous any alliance is with Eox. My primary concern is if there are any agents in the government creating this mystery. Regardless, I echo the desire for any information you have on the destroyed undead or anything around the camp? That and do we have a contact with the Bone Sages at the site?" Kharos asks taking out his data pad to take notes.

"Ahem...my name is Kharos Trallbor. I am one of the ambassadors for Eox that handles business with the Pact Worlds." he says quietly with a tone of anger in his voice, clearly unhappy with the arrangement.

I think we will be fine either way. We can just be more cautious and I will pick up some extra serums, LOL. Kharos is already a cautious politician type.

That reminds me I keep putting off creating botting instructions for my characters. Time to do that lol.

Extremely sorry. Typhoon Hagibis has get me scrambling go get some things handled here but I hope to be back on stable posting tomorrow.

Kharos sees Baxter puff up and goes with a kinder approach.

"Oh, I can understand the exorbitant cost of dry cleaning expensive attire. You would be surprised how many things on Eox can leave a stain on a business suit. Here, let me get you a new drink and the number for the desk at my employer. They can cover the costs I am sure." he offers his own handkerchief.

Yet somehow he may have come off condescending...

"Tembe, for Jatembe park where they once lived and another lesson to teach the pups Lycos of the Sanctum of Ten Trees." Kharos offers after seeing that the groundskeepers where convinced.

"It seems to like you. I believe you may have found the one." Kharos urges Zoom on.

"This is fun and all but is this legal?" Kharos says thinking back to the Absalom Station laws briefings he had.

"Uh, yes little creature please come with us. You will have a admirable job entertaining the children of the great Lycos of The Sanctum of Ten Trees."

"Unfortunately...pets on Eox aren't the cuddly kind. Anyone else know best where to obtain one and learn a little about taking care of it?" Kharos ask the group feeling less than useful.

"You have my utmost apologies for letting one of them sneak up on me to start this whole debacle. It seems we are clear for the time being at least. I believe we may want to make a short stop to leave your belongings with some Starfinder staff or a locker." he suggests.

With the others handling the Ysoki with the stolen bag Kharos moves back to defend the others he has.
