We're trying to avoid giving the snipers a free shot as a reaction. If we move and they react, they get the shot at us when we do not have the benefit of cover. If we don't move and they decide to shoot anyway, they shoot into partial cover, and then we start our run. GM, if my understanding of this tactical situation is inaccurate, please let us know.

@Rilynn that is pretty much it. You can assume one or both of the snipers have readied to shoot at the first person they see. Assuming that one moves, it would eventually get a shot. Snipers typically then use a move action to steady their rifles and a standard to shoot. But you will still get some cover from the rocks even in that situation. So waiting for one to fire at you and then running up the valley means you would likely benefit from one of the "first round" shots as being against you in cover
@Tarifa, you can share the spoiler if you like..
Gletch

Gletch stands behind Kharos, ready to run for cover among one of the next set of smaller rocks when one of the larger folks gives the signal.

With half the team already gunning for the sniper now running up the south ridge, Rilynn runs for the north edge of the canyon and the western-most sniper nest. In a full run, she dives behind an outcropping of rock momentarily to get cover before her next sprint.

[ooc]You don't need an athletics check to run. Down the bottom of the edit box (about five lines below it) there is a How to format you text [show] button. That tells you about the markup tags, including dice.
Long and short are formatting like :
[dice.] xdy[/dice] where you roll x dice of y size. You can add more dice, or numbers. So to roll 3d6 and add 3 you would say
3d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5, 1) + 3 = 15
[dice.]3d6+3[/dice]
You need to remove the dot I put in. That was just so you can see the command, and not have it actually run the dice.
You can add text to the roll using equals
[dice.=aerondors super stat block]3d6+3[/dice]
aerondors super stat block: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2, 2) + 3 = 11

No need to do climb rolls, that just shows elevation, but the actual slope itself while steep doesn't require a climb check.

So if the marks are just to show incline and not requiring a climb check, does that mean I can still move at a full run over them? I can almost reach them next round if that is the case.

Tarifa, it would make my life easier if you included the ref DC with your grenade attacks. How many do you have? I can't see them on your CS.

Sorry, I forgot to add them. I have a full launcher, so another 3. All the same kind. I'll get them onto the sheet and add the DC if I need to fire another.
As the closest sniper goes down, Tari cheers momentarily before taking a deep breath and following her companions up the hill. Remind me to thank Talltree for saving my bacon.

GM Aerondor

I've been putting approximate distance for you on the status line, Dtabail, Gletch and Karos would all be within charge distance this round.
@Gletch if you are running full speed, you can't really use Dta for cover at the same time. And to be fair, if you could, the sniper would just have gone for Dtabail as they were spreading their shots amongst those closest to him.

It's not letting me correct the roll- that should have been 1d3+3, not 1d3+3d3. The last three rolls should only be 1 each.

I don't know how it happened, but somehow Rilynn got a round behind everyone. I don't think I missed a post. Anyhow, she's within Magic Missile range, so here it comes.

There are no more foes evident at the moment. You take a breather and have a look at what these had on them.
They are not human, but not undead either, being bipedal but with wings.
Each was armed with a survial knife and a tactical Diasporan rifle. Each also has a healing serum, clearly marked and is wearing an estex suit. One of them also has a small datapad, the second has a credstick with him.
