If Ed wants to go with his Witch, Redelia her Bard, and if I stick with my Magus, we could go with the L1 Bloodrager pregen for martial firepower.

Witches and Bards have Cure Light Wounds on their spell list so if the 2 PCs didn't trade them out they can use Kageryu's Wand of CLW.

That way Midnight would provide the skills, Telosh the hexes and other casting, Kageryu is sort of there, and the pregen for hitting things. Thoughts?

Right now we're looking to go 1-2 subtier so a L1 would work. I didn't see you sign up for the table; before you we only had 3 and as I wrote above my magus can't fight his way out of a paper bag until next level.

I was going to suggest the L1 bloodrager pregen for martial hitting power.

I'm of mixed feelings. We also don't have anyone who can find and disable traps and locks. The bloodrager pregen would bring martial ability to the table but we'd still be without a trap finder/disabler.

@GM: I filled in Slide 2 before I filled in Slide 1. HAH!

I hate to be the one to bring this up but we have a substantial lack of martial power at this table. Unfortunately Kageryu can't fight his way out of a paper bag until he gets Dex-to-damage at L3.

Meaning: I'll have to decide whether to withdraw from the table or switch PCs. I'm heavily leaning towards the former because I really need to get Kageryu up to L3.

This is what I have for barter goods spent.

Gold Street, Torandril's Finery = 1 lb
Docktown, Aunties, 1st trip = 0 lb
Inkell = 2 lbs for information, 1 lb for the poetry; total of 3 lbs.
Madge's = 3 lbs for noodles and the encrypted message; Madge charged 5 GP of goods per serving of noodles so it's 2 servings of noodles per 1 lb of goods, 6 PCs, 3 lbs. (I know Kaervek said he was covering it but I'm adding it in and you'll see below why.)
Whaler's Point, bribe to Loyalist thugs = 5 lbs.
Docktown, Aunties, 2nd trip = 0 lb, we had to clear out the Abandoned Tower

And Olandil gave the group 180 gold of trade goods which equals 18 lbs.
(Page 6 in Gameplay, almost at the bottom of the page.)

So to summarize the traded goods = 1 + 3 + 3 + 5 = 12 which doesn't even hit the 18 lbs. Olandil gave the PCs. Which makes sense since it's a 1-2 subtier and the author might have assumed all of the PCs were as broke as Tempestas.
Unless I'm missing something it doesn't appear the PCs are out any gold on the barter goods front.

Kageryu draws his gladius and channels arcane power into the blade and swings at Red and then moves back slightly to open a firing lane for Tuke!

If possible 1 Potion of Touch of the Sea and 1 Potion of Air Bubble. If not potions then scrolls since neither spell is on the Magus list.

@GM: I'll post purchases in the 'Discussion' section. As for action Kageryu will immediately attack upon hearing "Chelish marine" since arrest is a death sentence for Pathfinders in Cheliax.

I would think Misgund and his +10 to Perception for one and either Kageryu or Tuke for the second one. Tuke's the only PC with Darkvision so what do you guys think?

Correction for my previous statements: Potions and Scrolls are indeed available for purchase, not from the Tubmarket or Professor Poppo(not directly), but the Academy's store.

I'll get Kageryu's spell list adjust this evening. He'll swap out Color Spray for Shocking Grasp for sure; might switch out the Color Spray but not sure yet or for what.

Remember, it doesn't have to be the skills listed----they're just exmaples. Be creative!

I tried. I couldn't think of a way that Climb, Swim, Spellcraft or Knowledge (Dungeoneering) would be of use.

Don't forget you can attempt the check twice!

@Players: Please don't bother trying to aid Kageryu; there's no hope for those rolls. Try something you have a stat bonus in and see if the die roller gives you higher than a 6.

After trying to suss out what Misgund told the party Kageryu decides the poster idea has promise and he tries his hand out at both artwork and affirmations to inspire the population to stand together and reject the lies and aspersions cast by the Loyalist scum!

@GM: To clarify are the PCs restricted to all PCs doing one check or is it supposed to be each PC making their own choice and check?

Buying Arrows, cold iron (20) for 2 GP. Kageryu has a light crossbow but he also has his Wand of Magic Missile that he's likely to use. Anyone who wants to go melee should probably buy a reach weapon.

It's a tough one. As I wrote in the Gameplay I think the Thieves Guild is the better 'mechanical' choice but are they trustworthy?

We know very little about the White Thistles so they may not be more trustworthy than the Thieves.

"I think Madge 'only knows about noodles.' From what Poppo told us earlier it would seem the Thieves Guild and the White Thistles are our two main options. Just a point of clarification: Neither the PC Kageryu nor the player deems killing foes who are threatening imprisonment, and likely torture and death, as an evil act.
