Thanks for link I’ll see about it.

Good afternoon,

I've playing the PFACG previously and loved the lore behind Pathfinder. I recently purchased Kingmaker for the PS4 and really enjoyed the rich level of customization that characters have available to them. I've done play by post for a while for 5E, but in all the time searching Reddit I haven't come across a single PF PBP game, whether 1E or 2E. Long story short, I'm hoping to try the game out as a play by post if there are any GM's actively recruiting for either of the two systems. Thanks for any and all help provided.

I did a quick scan of this thread and didn’t see an answer to my question, but don’t shoot me if I missed it. When registering my character on PACS I noticed there isn’t an option for packs and instead had to select a class deck. Is there a fix for this?

Hello Awesome Folks!

It's now officially midnight, March 2nd GMT and general player sign-ups for Outpost III: Puttin' on the Ritz are now OPEN! Remember, we're currently limiting sign-ups to 3 tables a person, which includes 1 Special. This may be subject to change later if we end up with several half-filled or empty tables but for now, 3 tables max, please!

Now go forth and fill those tables!

Outpost III Player Sign-Ups

Venture Agent, Online

Just making sure I'm doing this right, sorry being a complete newbie, but all we have to do is sign up under the PACS tab? Do we need to introduce ourselves anywhere else?

You're in the right place, we are just announcing our next online convention. Full details here (click). Sign-ups will open on March 2nd, and play will start on March 30th.

Someone might post a game separately before the event starts but if not then that will be a good way to get started.

Thanks! I'll keep my eyes open for that start of March.

I really like these new rules and would love to finally try my hand in playing some of the organized play for PACG. How does one get involved in PBP? Is there a section of the forums for it?
The main forum for ACG PBP is Flaxseed On Deck. The recruitment tab has been somewhat quiet lately, but that should kick up soon, as there will be an online PBP convention coming up in March.
And it isn’t too difficult to pick up? I’ve been doing PBP for 5e a little bit and find it to be pretty easy.

It's not too bad. The second half of this blog post (click) gives a general overview of how things work for the card game. Basically we use a google spreadsheet to digitally manage our decks and to easily convey what's in our hand, etc.

We'll be announcing our next play by post convention shortly. I'd keep a close eye on Flaxseed On Deck (click); specifically the recruiting page. That's where you'll be able to get the player sign-up announcement for the convention.

I'm currently working on rewriting the campaign page to answer a lot of questions on how to get started. You can get a sneak peak of that new information on this page (click) (if anyone is reading this in the future and that profile page is blank, just check the Flaxseed on Deck main Campaign page).

Thanks! I’m going to do a deep dive into this tomorrow.

You might find the PACG Wiki's Class Deck pages to be useful references, as each one has at least three characters of the given class. :)

Thanks! I was going to dig around the interwebs at some point. I actually was going to look at the Character Conversion document the community is working on as a way to find the correct wording for Core.

Thanks for the ideas! I think I’ll have to put some work into collecting the skills before I even approach this idea.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

So I’ve been toying with the idea of running a home brew campaign with the new Core Set and was wondering if anyone has any guidelines for allowing people to create their own characters. Specifically if there was a list of “skills” that could be adapted to allow them to pick from for each class. And if there was an editable character sheet that could be printed out to allow them to craft their character. Also, if this idea is too complicated feel free to let me know I’m just reaching for something too complex.

I'm not one to post much, actually I've only ever posted once or twice before I post what I'm about to say. However, after reviewing this particular thread, something struck a chord with me. Not that I'm worried about the game dying, because as long as we have a community of devoted players I don't think it can stop. Especially with the ability to create our own content with the new Core Set.

Now that's what I wanted to talk about and hopefully get other's opinions on the matter. Would expanding the Core Set make sense for future games? Instead of a new AP, which would be amazing, creating a set of card to flush out the rest of the core past the scenario 3 cards. Not sure if anyone else’s has brought this up before, but it has been eating at my mind for some time now as a way to create more diversity in cards and allow thematic progression of characters from core who might not see as many weapons, spells, or items in specific AP sets. Just my two cents, what are your thoughts?

Makes sense, thanks again for all the work you’re doing!

Long time lurker, first time posting. I’ve been following this thread for sometime because of my interest in the legacy sheets and today I had an interesting thought, would you be releasing the template once you complete your legacy sheets? I’d love to have access to a customizable template so that if I, or anyone I play with, wanted to create their own character they could use the template to track their progress. Thanks for all your work!
