SO I haven't played in awhile (4 years) and getting back into it with a couple friends and we are going to be playing Frog Gods Wizard's Amulet (I think that's what it is). And we are only doing frog god gods and goddesses. My problem with this is the god selection isn't that great compared to pathfinder gods. Yes some are pretty awesome but the fact that I am limited to only the Good and Neutral gods from it is nerve wrecking. I'm just going to list the party that we have and level one so nothing majestic. Also we have an NPC due to the number of players (3).

The party is a Bloodrager, Bard, Cleric, and NPC Sorcerer (or Goblin Bloodrager). We are also doing 25 point buy so these characters are slightly powerful with a home rule of stats can't go to a 7.

My cleric's stats:
STR: 13
DEX: 12
CON: 14
INT: 10 (11?)
WIS: 16 (+2 racial bonus)
CHA: 16

I'm also rolling a Half orc too, so I am wielding a Falcon, CG, Domains are currently Good and Travel. Everything is Subject to change till the mod arrives.

ALSO I have looked through the guides and I agree to disagree with some domains and spells.

I'm pretty sure this has been asked many times, but I'm to lazy to look for it, so I figured I'd ask since I was storming this idea for a while now involving the paladin/anti-paladin channel energy.

now I know that they both get the channel positive/negative energy, but can they get or invest into the versatile channeler feat from a neutral god, ie: Pharasma?

If so, would I need to be an archtype pally/anti-pally? Or can I just be the vanilla class?

Thinking of making a cleric of one of our favorite Dieties in pathfinder, Calistria. I'm personally going for a Human cleric, but for flavor, it'd be a half-elf. Point buy is 25, haven't really spent any points but the role I'm going for is more supportish control. Domains I'm thinking about are Trickery or Charm and Luck and Probably gonna be CN. Kinda just relying on my spells to be like "stab that guy". Being in melee ish range to heal tank. not really in need to do damage with negative energy so probably gonna do the positive energy route, maybe do versitiale channeler, but that's what alignment channeling is for (evil outsiders mmmm). And where 5th level so woo. Now I kinda plan to be mobile but can atleast have a great AC score. Whip (can i use a scorpine whip instead? lol) being one handed = Shield woo. Now would the whip mastery be worth it? Cause I plan to be channeling like no other to heal, and hurt undead and evil ousiders, and use my spells for buffing, heals, debuffing or control so I kinda what a High Wisdom and Charisma for the save DCs. Might even go assimar, or make a race (GM is giving us 13 Race points but it's more of a "Augment" to the race to better suit our roles imo.) I also plan to go into Holy Vindicator at higher levels also. Have more then just a whip and have some other weapons with creatures vs DR weapon dmg type.

but here's a quick point buy and feat selection at 5th lvl if human

STR: 13
DEX: 13
CON: 12
INT: 10
WIS: 18 (+2 race and +1 from 4th lvl)
CHA: 16

Feats:
1st: Combat Casting or Extra Channel and Selective Channeling or Extra Channel HB
3rd: Improved Channeling
5th: Alignment Channeling (Evil)
and which ever feat i didn't chose at the time for here on out

If Half-Elf;

STR: 13
DEX: 13
CON: 12
INT: 10
WIS: 18 (same as human reason)
CHA: 16

Feats:
1st: Selective Channeling
3rd: Improved Channeling or Extra Channeling or Combat Casting
5th: Alignment Channeling (Evil)
which ever feat I didn't choose from here on out.

If Assimar;

STR: 13
DEX: 13
CON: 12
INT: 10
WIS: 18 (should know why it's 18)
CHA: 18 (should know why it's 18)

Feats:
same as before.

Now I will draw up a race or as I would like to say "Augmented" race later on. Probably gonna resemble a assimar human hybred.

As I said need help. But I'm thinking of spell division with 3 schools of magic. Necromancy, enchantment, and evocation (eventually).
Now I'm looking at a buff, rebuff, control, with damage. Now idk whay most people go for with there sorcerers, but I think a sorcerer can focus on 3 schools with other spells that can buff the party, without saves (I wish the apg, um, and uc had the spell schools listed like in the core).
But yeah those 3 schools I'm looking at and I just dunno what bloodlines to pick, but I do have an idea though (undead, arcana, fey, infernal, and other for your opinion). I'm pretty sure this ones gonna be for tge mega dungeon rappan atthuk which is level 5 atm, or an arena based for a friends which is level 15.

So I know there used to be a red mantis assassin prestige class but I cant find the class anywhere. I do have a version of it in pathfinder chronicles: campaign setting. But I'm not sure if its the solid class or not. I remember it being on the pdfsrd site but its not there anymore.

Other then that I just wanna know if that copy has been changed at all and that the red mantis assassin is as it is in that book or if there's changes.

Have a Cleric at 5th level here's hat I got, advice for next feat please. I'm going for the channeling route, but still being able to do decently well with spells and melee damage. I say melee because I want to make a channel smiting SOB. Now I'm also just debating if I should even invest with the vital strike feat, not really worrying about Full attacking with a cleric in all honesty (that's what fighter BAB is for).

Neutral Human Crusader (death(murder sub)) Cleric of Urgathoa:

STR: 14
DEX: 14
CON: 12
INT: 7
WIS: 18
CHA: 16

Gear:
--Weapons:
- Master Work Scythe (I need a Magic weapon -_-)

--Armor:
- Tatami-do +1
- Cloak of Resistance +1
- Amulet of natural Armor +1
--Backpack:
- A bunch of assorted Scrolls:
- 6 Scrolls of Cure Moderate wounds
- 6 Scrolls of Shield of Faith
- 2 Scrolls of Death Knells
- Wand of Lesser Rest charges left 43
- Wand of CLW charges left 41
- 50 ft rope
- sleeping stuff

AC: 21 (23 with Shield of Faith)
Saves:
-REF: 4, FORT: 6, WILL: 9
BAB: 3 (+9 to attack)

FEATS B = Bonus Feat Archtype, HB = Human fyi., * = priority :
1st: (B)Weapon Focus (Scythe), (HB) Channel Smite, Guided Hand
2nd: -
3rd: Selective Channeling
4th: -
5th: <Command Undead, (B) Heavy Armor Proficiency>
6th: -
7th: Alignment Channel (evil) **, or Combat Casting **
8th: -
9th: Improved Channeling ***, Combat Casting *, or Alignment Channeling (evil) *
10th: (B) Greater Weapon Focus (Scythe)*, or Weapon Specialization (Scythe) **
11th: Combat Casting ****, or Alignment Channeling (evil) **
12th: -
13th: Dazzling Display
14th: -
15th: (B) which ever wasn't picked
16th: -
17th: Shatter Defenses
18th: -
19th: Deadly Stroke *** or Shattered Resolve *
20th: (B) Greater Weapon Specialization

These are the feats I plan on getting or working with. But it doesn't have to be in said order, it's more of a priority in all honesty.

Ok, I knew there's been a few posts about this, what if you grappled someone from there mount, or trip the mount, and they fall. the mounted person takes fall damage but what's next?

What brought this in was the CR 10 fight for RAPPAN from taking the bandits out of the Mouth of Doom. We only won the fight by meeting one of the conditions. BUT we as the party where lvl 4 at the time with 6 of us. still higher then a epic level fight, bearly made it.

But anyways there's no ruling for that if the mount was tripped they aren't. We did a house rule that they would have to roll a ride check so that they wouldn't be prone, if they made the check.

Since I actually live on a ranch, I told the DM this, F~+$ you if you let the rider not be prone unless he makes the skill check, but if he doesn't well that's just f$!$ed up, no one should beable to not be prone when they fall from a mount. that's just Over powered imo.

And another note I think my DM cheated with the fighter with a keen greataxe, he got tripped and was able to use a potion of enlarge person after he moved and attacked.

Side note: I think the DM wants the party to be TPKed that fight in all honesty. and he actually kinda complained about not actually attacking a downed/stable PC. I honsetly think he just wants us to s&%* out characters at this point, i don't mind that, but the encounters he's been giving us, he's done this 3 times already, put us against a CR WAY higher then a fight we should actually do. I think he's doing this on purpose. and I don't want my Death cleric to become a pawn of the big baddy too.

Was basiclly wondering if a paladin/antipaladin or cleric can use vital strike with there channel smite. Wouldn't see why not (not looking at the feats atm assuming that it will work but not 100% sure)

This is a death cleric that his been living through the death trap mod of Rappan atthuk so far, been dropped to 0 twice, by the robbers in town, and buy the fire cobra (thank god I made those saves with nat 20's lol) and are almost 5th level (4k xp away). So far I I think I wanna just change some of my stats around gonna mid max. Well when I say mid max, I kinda want more survivability. BUT I'm wanting to do the channeling route.

These are the stats I had for a 25 point buy:

N Human Cleric of Urgathoa

STR: 14
DEX: 13
CON: 12
INT: 8
WIS: 15 (+2 race, +1 stat bump 4th (18))
CHA: 16

Feats:
1st: Channel Smite, Guided Hand
3rd: Selective Channeling
*5th: Command Undead, Combat Casting, Improved Channel, or Scribe Scroll (which ever feat I don't chose will be going to the next bonus feat)

Currently my AC is on par with the bard of the party, I kinda don't like the fact that the magus can actually have more ac then the cleric and at this level, I feel like having a 18 wis is kinda just not needed. Yes I'm aware that having a +4 to hit from my wisdom a bonus 4th level spell, and a +1 to my spells DC. But I haven't been casting anything that requires a spell that even does a DC to my opponents. I've been mostly casting buffs spells, heals (bought a lesser rest wand and a CLW wand finally w00t), but haven't been actually fully casting all my prepared spells in a really good session while we venture into the first floor still. We also cleared the room with the gaint leeches which was another awesome fight too. But yeah here's the stats I'm looking at:

New Stats 25 point buy:

STR: 12 or 14
DEX: 15 (+1 stst bump 4th (16))
CON: 14 or 12
INT: 7
WIS: 14 (+2 race (16))
CHA: 16

Planning on the same feats still. But I might switch deities to Magdh and pick the Luck and Rune domains, wont lose out on getting a new weapon and I gain the feat Scribe Scroll (which I notice I have a bunch of scrolls of recently bought scrolls but this'll help with money saving for my cleric in the future if any). If I did go that route I would also go with these feats instead.

Possible feat changes if changed:

1st: Channel Smite, Guided Hand, Scribe Scroll
3rd: Selective Channeling
*5th: Improved Channel, Command Undead, Combat Casting, or Versatile Channeling (and which ever feat I don't chose will be the next feat for the next levels)

Currently we are running the Famous death mega dungeon rappan atthuk and if been brain storming up a story for my cleric and been wanting to do some flavor with the cleric if she died there or something.

I've been mostly brain storming for events After she dies, she goes to the plane of death or w/e and wants to go back to rappen atthuk to literary destroy Orcas for Ending her life. But when in the plane of death she becomes somehing new, she's no longer a Human or undead (well she is but not the classic kind of undead).

BTW, her alignment is LN (was N, might just go to CN in all honesty but I like the idea of a Cleric that worships Urgathoa as being a "Judge" type)

But yeah I also wanna come up with a neat lil story that lead up to the events to rappen atthuk. Please help!!!

As stated above this is the build I plan to go with my ranger for a mod that I've been brewing up. It's with the jade reagent Mod and I've been wanting to do some "Personal" builds, and to be able to use the artifact weapon from the mod. The house rule the Gm did was the weapon will count as a simple weapon when two handing it if your a sion from the seal, so that everyone can use it. But the sad part, no one in the party will really benefit from it. This is how I go about mods, it's a theme your character with a theme will match damn well good in the mod (depending on rolls and such). And thinking of going with a half-elf since the trait I pick was the younger sibling of Shalelu, and it would actually mostly benefit from the mutliclassing.

But as I said planing to go archer ranger, then pick up feats to get something for a melee option. I really REALLY wanna do a switch hitter. I want to be able to take hits (not sword and board if suggested I will ignore you) but also do some damage in melee.

Opt 1 Point buy 20 (23 for int being 8):
STR: 14
DEX: 15 (+2 for race 17)
CON: 12
INT: 8
WIS: 12
CHA: 15

R 1st: Combat Reflexes
R 2nd: Precise Shot
R 3rd: Dodge
R 4th: + 1 to stat (Dex 18)
R 5th: Mobility
R 6th: Rapid Shot
N 7th: Deadly Aim
N 8th: + 1 to stat (CHA 16)
N 9th: Two Weapon Fighting, Combat Trick Two-weapon Defense
N 10th: -
N 11th: Quick Draw
N 12th: + 1 to stat (Dex 19)
S 13th: Improved Two-weapon Fighting
S 14th: -
S 15th: Improved Initiative
S 16th: + 1 to DEX (20)

Opt 2, 20 (23 from int being a 8) point buy:
I was given a choice to also just go Ninja cause we were gonna meet a ninja at some point in the mod. I really wanna see my Ranger through with this, but I made a ninja for secound darkness and that mod was stopped do to GM not thinking we would like it, well we had a witch that put people to sleep so idk why we couldn't still play that mod. But yeah if I go Ninja I was gonna go Ninja 10/ Fighter 2/Shadow Dancer 4 and be going Human;

STR: 15
DEX: 15 (+ 2 from race 17)
CON: 12
INT: 8
WIS: 10
CHA: 15

Feat Tree:
N 1st: Point-Blank Shot, Precise Shot
N 2nd: Combat Trick (Dodge)
N 3rd: Mobility
N 4th: + 1 to DEX (18)
N 5th: Weapon Finesse
F 6th: Two-weapon Fighting
F 7th: Combat Reflexes, Two-weapon Defense
N 8th: +1 to CHA (16)
N 9th: Quick Draw
N 10th: -
N 11th: Deadly Aim
N 12th: + 1 to STR (16)
S 13th: Rapid Shot
S 14th: -
S 15th: Improved Initiative
S 16th: + 1 to DEX (19)

Also, is the katana weapon finesse able if it's 2handed, if so, I can adjust feats to be more of a 2h (the ninja used a nodachi originally in second darkness) but since going ranged and want to use it to the fullest might a well two-weapon fight, OR go 2h for shield of Swing Feat.

So I was thinking of making a multi classing character, then i though what would a metal oracle wanna do? ninja? Ninja. I honestly think it would work out pretty well actually. this is the build so far

Point Buy: 20 (24 from bringing int to 7)

STR: 14
DEX: 15 (17 from human)
CON: 12
INT: 7
WIS: 10
CHA: 16

FEATS:
1st Combat Casting, Two-weapon Fighting (human bonus)
2nd -
3rd Double Slice
4th -
5th Two-weapon defense
6th -
7th Extra rev?

Just a character though and build I would like to try might work, dunno please say thoughts :O

OK, I've been debating this for awhile since my play group is playing the mod Jade regent. It's a 4 man party and we are level 5. We have got a Life Oracle (Gnome), Net n Trident Fighter (Half orc), Magus (Human), and my character which is a archer Ranger (also human and thinking of changing to a switch hitter). We are currently at brim wall castle getting the artifact sword and getting our guide who is "to be there".

At this point we have gotten a lot of ninja themed loot. and the GM actually does have a plan for me to switch to a ninja if I do. But I kinda like my ranger, but wanna be able to actually use some of the items that have been given out to it's full potential. Like a armor piece that does invisibility once a day, but if you know the vanishing trick and have a ki pool it's 2/day.

The only thing that has been able to save us from being ambushed from the ninjas from attacking us is the fact my ranger is just making survival checks of 30+ and getting the jump on the ambushes from perception checks also.

Here's my ranger:

STR: 14
DEX: 18
CON: 13
INT: 10
WIS: 14
CHA: 10

Weapons:
+1 Comp. Longbow (+2 for the STR mod)

Armor:
MW Chain shirt (Haven't replaced it to the named armor that does invisibility)
+1 Amulet of Natural armor

Arrows:
Cold Iron (20)
Animal Bane (5)
Native Outsider Bane (5)
(Have more arrows just can't remember what else I got at the top of my head)

Feats:
Point-Blank Shot
Precise Shot
Rapid Shot
Deadly Aim
Improved Intuitive

If I did the Ninja the WIS would switch with CHA, would lose a feat, and I would probably drop some stats to make my CHA higher to get more ki points with out having to lose out on a feat or change a feat. BUT I might do a switch hitter (Two-weapon) Ninja.

Ninja:

STR: 14
DEX: 18
CON: 13
INT: 10
WIS: 10
CHA: 14

Feats:
Weapon Finesse
Point-Blank Shot
Two-Weapon Fighting
Precise Shot

Any thoughts?

OK you lose your deities favored weapon proficiency but you can still use it through a feat or class or w/e the deity is.

Now my question is does the feat Guided Hand:
"With your deity’s favored weapon, you can
use your Wisdom modifier instead of your Strength or
Dexterity modifier on attack rolls."

Can you still benefit from this feat?

OK recently posted a thread for cleric help and this is the fruits of the labor from it, just wondering if it seems like a solid build or joke.

Fighter 1 / Cleric 2
Human
Neutral

HP: 31 (House rule double max HD and Double con mod first level and at 3rd half HD + con mod + 1 + 1 fav option (if have) + 1 toughness (if have feat))

STR: 14
DEX: 13
CON: 12
INT: 9
WIS: 17 (15 + 2 race)
CHA: 16

FEATS:
1st Toughness
Channel Smite (Fighter Bonus)
Guided Hand (Human Bonus)
3rd Selective Channel
5th Command undead (Future feat/swap at 4th level with toughness maybe)

Domains: Magic and Strength (Urgathoa)

Weapons: Scythe

AC: 17
Armor: Breastplate
Shield: Buckler (scrapping)

Any thoughts?

Ok, I'm thinking or rolling a Neutral Cleric and want to do the versital channel feat, but I'm looking at a few deities like Shelyn, Pharasma, or Urgathoa. And as you can see I'm kinda going with there favored weapon (not pharasma daggers suck) and planning on using the channel smite, selective channeling feats. Please help!
