He tries to collect himself before he boils over "We were sent by the Count to investigate a clear out any trouble. Hugh walk out to the group "The rest of the rooms in the left wing are mostly empty, but there are strange green fumes in one room. Either an experiment gone wrong, or something back there someone doesn't want us to get to." He shrugs "How's the stern talking going?"

"I think I'll try and see what's in this room, make sure there's no ambush or set up one of my own.". Hugh tries and climbs up into the pantry all sneaky like.

Hugh makes his way up to Havelock. "In case we all die a horribly painful death in the next hour, I want you to know that I appreciate your assist earlier. As much as I like to think I can take on the world, I know I wouldn't be anywhere without those who help me." he drops his pride for a slight second. "Thank you."

Just as suddenly as his gratitude showed itself his movements become more brisk, his stature more sharp, and the ever present grin reforms from the humble smile. The facade pops back into place. "Back to business" He makes his way back outside and gives a laugh "Side entrances are where all the fun happens! How is everyone? "

Hugh looks into the hall with his crossbow at the ready when he hears the whistle, thinking it was a signal to charge. He is surprised to instead see Havelock looking into a yellow cloud directly ahead of him. He take the opportunity to pick up his blades, sheathing them into his wrist, and bringing his crossbow back to the ready and catches his breath.

When Marcus walks up to offer Hugh to help, he remembers he was run through earlier and whispers to himself. "Oh, this blood is only partially mine." he says with a bit of pride. "I appreciate the concern friend, but I have my own I can use before taking you up on your concern." Hugh takes out his only CLW potion and begins to drink it recovering 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 health points. "I will however take you up on your generous offer when I cannot tend to my own wounds. I think I saw our....witch take a hit though. Perhaps she'll take you up on your offer?

Hugh feels the pain in his chest lighten up though there's still some pain everytime he breaths. As he picks up his crossbow he speaks out to Havelock "Maybe you're not as bad as I thought."

He then tries to hide behind the statues looking into the front to see if any other kobolds are making their way out.

Hugh tries to surprise the Kobold but it was waiting for him with his spear at the ready. He'll only have one shot at this.

Hugh throws everything he has at his enemy, flipping himself past the spear and uses his momentum to try plant his blade to the hilt of the short fiends chest.

Can I stealth behind the statue (which I can do as a move) and prepare my attack for when he comes around to try and find me, thus catching him off-guard and gaining a sneak attack?

As Hugh begins to make his way in a Kobold rushes right past him. He quickly pokes his head back behind the statue and remembers the crossbow in his hand. He takes a deep breath to gather his courage and whispers "Not today." As soon as he hears Genta curse the closest Kobold he acts.

Hugh drops the crossbow and before it hits the ground he pushes up from the statue. His hands extend palms up with as eastern styled blades quickly appears into his hands. Trying the catch the enemy by surprise he tries the stab the first blade into the back of his foe and then slash the second up from chest to face.

FREE: Drops the crossbow.
SWIFT: Draws both Masterwork Wakizashis (they're loaded in his spring loaded sheaths)
FULL ACTION: Two weapon attacks the first cursed enemy
First attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
First attack damage if successful: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 21d6 ⇒ 3

Second attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
First attack damage if successful: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 61d6 ⇒ 1

I applied the sneak attack because he didn't know I was there due to my stealth check earlier (so no DEX to AC and all that). If this isn't the case just bump the AC to what it should be with just the curse and take out the second d6 in the damage)

Hugh is from House Battlestar. A low baronet, his biggest concerns are trying to improve his lot so he can easier help those he cares for but the majority of his efforts have been to improve himself and not his political prestige. A few rumors circulated about his name. He's able to exploit his foes flaws and can blend in to whatever situation he's in, making him hard to pin down in both motivation and personality. Perhaps you shall be the one to find out.

Poorly written, error filled, and ultimately pointless

This has to be one of the most poorly edited modules I have ever encountered. Some sections of the detailed descriptions are just flat out wrong and some even contradict themselves. There are multiple references to things on the map that are not present and most of it will have to be re-created from scratch in order to make it playable. One room is absolutely unusable the way it is written. I can’t believe a module of this quality got past the editors. If you like a bunch of random encounters strung together that make no sense whatsoever, then I guess you can make something out of this piece of garbage.
