My rulebook and adventure showed today in one mailer. Would've been Saturday, but I had the mail held due to being away on vacation.

It's odd that USPS Informed Delivery still shows a bound printed matter Amazon package in limbo. I assumed they had split the two books into two shipments, but maybe they changed their mind last minute and only used one, and this will forever be dormant?

Regardless, even though this was shipped in the same lame, weak cardboard envelope Amazon loves to use for books, because I opted for softcover, the books are intact! If they were hardcover I'm sure the corners would be smooshed.

EDIT: actually, I take it back. One of the corners of the rulebook is weirdly wrinkled, but was flat in the shipping envelope so I didn't notice until I looked closer. Maybe it happened during printing. Not worth it to complain, but thought you guys would want to know.

Anyway, hope everyone gets theirs soon,

The second of the two orders Amazon split this into is still sitting doing nothing according to USPS Informed Delivery. It first entered the system on August 2nd. Definitely a lot off the target date of last Thursday...

Via usps informed delivery I can see that two packages are on their way, so perhaps the adventure is separate from the rulebook. One should've arrived today, but I'm having my mail held until Monday due to being away. The other is still doing nothing, so I suspect it hasn't yet shipped.

Well, that would be because amazon has completely different departments for shipping things ordered through amazon vs things amazon is just fulfilling. One department messed up, the other didn't.....

Of course. But it's so frustrating when I debated whether I should order from Amazon, which would've been much cheaper and free ship. But I went with Paizo to show my support...and look where we are.

I realize this won't matter in a week or so when my books are here, but again, I have to wonder exactly what did I spend all that extra money for to have such lackluster service?

Paizo did exactly what you suggested, and Amazon still messed up.

Except that, "shockingly," orders that were placed through amazon.com directly will be delivered as expected. Somehow Amazon didn't mess those orders up...

Very disappointed. I'll be away from Friday through Sunday, so was hoping I'd have the books Thursday for my trip. Good thing I had the post office hold my mail so it's not just sitting on the doorstep getting wet from the rain that's predicted.

The shipping cost was outrageous to begin with for standard delivery and no tracking, so I hope you and Amazon make good on refunding that cost.

The fact that the folks who order directly through Amazon, or their local store, will get their books before those who supported you directly is maddening. What exactly are we getting for paying list price and excessive shipping?

Sorry to be upset, but I do feel you guys should be aware of how I feel, and how I will think twice before doing this again.

If Amazon is doing the shipping, is the packaging going to be the inadequate service they provide? I've stopped buying books from Amazon (especially hardcovers) because they always come damaged due to lack of packing materials (assuming they even used a box instead of a cardboard envelope).

Trapdoor has said WOtC cancelled the project because they didn't have the same "vision" as Trapdoor. Trapdoor says WotC primarily wanted a character builder, and Trapdoor wanted a content management system. WotC has not commented. This explanation baffles me, because I can't understand how two parties could enter into a contract if what the product was actually going TO DO was not 100% clear before signing said contract.
