Abe, thank you for running a great game. I can honestly say one of the most fun I had playing pathfinder, live or PbP. Real life happens and I appreciate all the hard work you put into running the game and sticking with it despite all you were going through. Heccan bows to the group and straightens up. He closes his eyes as Via casts a blessing to aid in the endeavor. He approaches the arguing group of giantkin. He speaks in giant. I won't post in spoiler as Heccan will whisper a translation to the group as he speaks. "I see you have quite a dilemma. Perhaps I can be of assistance. I would speak to the chief of this village as I have business here. On behalf of the mighty Zorath!"

Heccan nods in agreement. "I quite agree, and I think my two headed friend may have given us an opportunity. If no one objects, I will attempt to open a parlay. I would appreciate a few others for a show of force, but perhaps we should have a few of us stay out of sight in case things go poorly. A sound plan, I believe."

Heccan's nose wrinkles as they step into the chamber. "Codes and codicils! There should be a law against living in a place like this. The filth!" Stepping somewhat gingerly he follows the others. He gets a wide grin on his face as he sees the ettin arguing with the two giants. [b]"I wonder if out two headed friend over there agrees he is ready for a promotion. Let's just say I may have offered a few words of encouragement. Shall we listen in on the debate?" Heccan will see if he can get within earshot of the trio. Tongues should still be active so Hec can understand giant if they are conversing in that language.

Heccan furiously looks about, seeing the trolls advance. He once again appears indecisive, pursing his lips and clenching his jaw. The sorcerer sighs, shakes his head, then darts around a nearby hut. Once clear, he once again holds the rod out sending another ball of flame into the air. The ball grows into an inferno, crashing among the trolls and elemental. Via and the Flame of Liberty watches as they are surrounded by flames though somehow remain untouched. Heccan will take a move action to get around the hut and then cast another fireball as indicated on the map with the red outline. Heccan smirks as he watches the ettin walk away he again sends a message to the confused giantkin. Heccan will use message to whisper to the ettin again. Heccan looks down on the Ettin below him. Knowing the at times arrogant Chelaxion, one could imagine a smirk on his unseen face. The ettin hears words, as if from the heavens, calling to him in giant. Heccan will cast message and speak to the charmed ettin in giant. whispers from nowhere: "Brave warrior. This battle is lost. The tribe needs a new chief. You are that chief. I have foreseen it. Follow me and you shall be king!"

Ok, time to try something bold! Don't hate me if I fail miserably. A shimmering light descends from above the western ettin and rains on the two headed monstrosity. Heccan will cast charm monster on the purple ettin just below him. Will save v DC 25 *crosses fingers*

The wind near the ettin swirls and the group can see sparks of light as Heccan once again invokes his dark nature. If anyone besides a raging elemental were around to hear it, a faint squeak of panic erupts from the area just west of the dusky moving pile of rock and earth. The squeak is followed by a string of infernal curses. Heccan will take a 5 foot step westward then cast levitate. The spell will move Heccan 20 feet into the air.

The grass flattens as the unseen sorcerer moves his position. Five glowing orbs of arcane energy streak across the battle, striking a distant giant. Heccan takes a move action to move near Hector's position then casts magic missile at the blue hill giant. Magic Missile: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 2, 2) + 5 = 14

The grass rustles near where the Chelaxian last stood. Heccan no doubt showing signs of nerves as the giants and their pets descend on the groups position. The group can feel a tinge in the air as Heccan, unseen, taps into his reserve of arcane power. Waves of energy flow all around them, though the Pathfinders find themselves strangely unaffected. Heccan will cast confusion on top of the group's position as outlined in blue. He will use one use from his selective metamagic rod to exclude himself, Tytus, Hector and Via. The spell should not get anen as I have it placed. DC for WILL save is 23.

Works for me. Heccan gases from view as he invokes his dark inner magic. Casts Greater Invisibility on himself. Should have mage armor, cats grace and shield active if had a chance to prepare for possible encounter.

Heccan has a few options for crowd control. Mind fog, confusion being top choices. Let's see if he can hear whats going on before making our next move. Heccan ducks behind any any brush cover he can find nearby. Refreshed from a much needed rest. He leans in to listen to the busy encampment. He mutters under his breath. "By the laws, are there no end to these monsters. They must breed like rodents." Can we hear what the young male and female are saying? If so, Heccan will cast comprehend languages to be able to understand them.
