Current plan for Bonds

Blibberblab must prove his devotion to the gods by writing a song of praise.

I suspect Retzack to be an unbeliever, further investigation is needed.

Squick conducts many dangerous experiments with greater faith will come greater protection from the gods.

I never did speak to bilbberblab about writing a song, but since we determined that meatsnacks is a demi-god or some such his songs praising meatsnacks might count. I agree blilbberblab completed his bond.

I think the second one was fulfilled, haluk now needs to monitor the mage to ensure his views do not spread.

I think I need a new bond with talks-to-trees haluk believes talks-to-trees is an upstart abomination that must be carefully watched, lest her corruption infects others.

As for what happened on the adventure: haluk learned that his faith is more powerful than that of the under elves.

Haluk slew several under elf champions and delivered their blood to the gods.

His allies acquired many powerful gnomelinoid relics.

So that should grant me 5 additional xp including one for being evil which will leave me with 1 xp after leveling. Since I think this brings me to lvl 3?

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk directs his acolytes to find elf flesh, meatsnacks told us to bring elf flesh back after we defeated them. It was better to keep the obese warlord happy.

He will then take charge of the rations on the way back. Giving evil stares at any goblin who considers eating more than a few morsels, sharpening his sacrificing knife while he does it.

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 6) + 2 = 10

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

The bard tended to, Haluk turns his attention to goblin coughing up spiders. "Mage you really need to start taking more notice of your assistants, several seem to be getting "Ideas", you will notice none of my acolytes displaying such disturbing behavior."

cure light wounds on Talks 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 2 = 131d8 ⇒ 1

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Once haluk reaches the goblins he begins to treat the wounded calling on the "tender" mercies of his gods. He begins by healing the bard, again. 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 141d8 ⇒ 4

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk stares in confusion as the tower begins to roll away, before indicating that his acolytes should follow him down the slope.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk remains outside the tower, it would not do for a powerful servant of the gods to have to stoop and stumble his way around a cramped tower on it's side.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk will cast cure light wounds on himself.

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 2 = 13 for 1d8 ⇒ 8 health, hopefully that will also affect the poison.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk will raise his arm to protect his eyes as he charges the fell creature again.

Defy danger dex? 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4

Then his attack on the creature assuming I can still attack

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2) + 2 = 71d8 ⇒ 1

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk will attack the unnatural spider monstrosity.

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 6) + 2 = 10 for 1d8 ⇒ 3 damage

"the gods curse your unnatural presence, begone fell creature. "

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

While the chains still hold him down Haluk will kneel, draw his ceremonial dagger and slice the dark-elf's throat, muttering a prayer to the gods as he does so.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"Acolytes seize that under-elf, I need a proper sacrifice"

Acolytes action 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 2) + 3 = 6

Haluk will defy danger using his strength to break free from the wall.

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 4) + 2 = 11

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9 for 1d8 ⇒ 7 dmg

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk will attempt to speak with the wight, using his speak with the dead spell.

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1) + 2 = 5

Accursed dice abandoning me when I need them.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk will charge the nearest under-elf praising the gods as he does so.

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 2 = 6

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk orders his acoyltes forward into the tunnel before following them. Staying at the back of the mob so some of the other fodder takes the worst of the underelves defenses.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"the mage speaks true. Beings of metal are of little interest to the gods."

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"Let us find this new abomination and sacrifice it to the gods, for they demand sacrifice."

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk stares at the metallic creature and debates if hitting it with his mace will reset it or not. It usually worked when dealing with his acolytes.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk stares in disgust at the goblin that can't even control a scorpion.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 2 = 11

"We are under attack, acolytes bring me sacrifices."

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"See the gods power demonstrated. They strike down those who worship before the false ones. Onwards, we have elflings to sacrifice."

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"what heresy is this? Meatsnacks may be a great and power chief but he is not a god. The true gods demand a sacrifice for this insult."

Haluk indicates for his minions to grab one of the bard's followers.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk touches Bliberblab before he leads his fodder off.

"The gods have seen your efforts tale teller. Receive some of their strength"

cure light wounds 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 5) + 2 = 9 for 1d8 ⇒ 4 health

You draw unwelcome attention or put yourself in a spot. The GM will tell you how

The Scales of Life and Death

When someone takes their last breath in your presence, they take +1 to the roll.

I think this may prove useful going forward.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Sorry guys somehow I lost track of this. Plus RPGSS has been distracting me.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk snaps out of whatever vision held him during the fight with the giant beetle.

"the gods have visited me and demand more sacrifice."

"Is that a giant beetle? And can we eat it?"

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Spout Lore 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 1) - 1 = 5

Haluk can sprout lore too, maybe not as eloquently as the mage can, but he can make things up as well.

"The elves are known to be terribly cowardly creatures, who retreat to their under-halls at the first sign of resistance."

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"I doubt the under-elves will still be here if we wait till morning. I don't know maybe both as long as there is chanting?"

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Haluk returns towards the camp and speaks to bilbberblab, "I believe the gentle caress of the gods can help you right now, but a require a song in praise of them and the victory their servants brought them this night.

Assuming he agrees Haluk will cast cure light wounds on the bard.

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6) + 2 = 12 for 1d8 ⇒ 5 healing

While the others fought over the katana, Moxie went after the dead drow's body. Her left eye spun as it looked this way and that with her right focused on the body. She made an inventory check to make sure everything to make the body sevicable was accounted for, attached or not. She removed one of the three jars on her belt and unscrewed the lid. "Moxie fix you up good. Make you useful. Yes." She spoke as she stuffed the elf in the jar. "You and Drunk be useful." Her deed done, she made her way back towards the others.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"And what do you know about green bears there you scrawny goblin."

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"It looked magical. Can't you spell.. er.. smell magic Retzack?"

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Give the extra one to Blibberblab.

I could use a shield, otherwise I have little use for loot. Perhaps we can save it and as our meatshields goblin assistants earn it, they can receive actual equipment.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

split the minions equally?

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

freed by his ally dismissing the chains, Haluk will draw his ceremonial dagger.

"Hold him down my acolytes as I offer his strength to the gods."

Haluk will then kneel beside the man and draw his dagger across the man's throat.

"May you find this, the first of many offerings this day pleasing."

He then gets up and goes to examine his unconscious acolyte.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

damage taken 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4 for a total of 11 damage taken I forgot to reduce the damage from that last attack by my armour.

Damage dealt 1d6 ⇒ 1

I figured mental fortitude for basically willing the chains not to attack me.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

"Acoyltes aid me in preparing this one for sacrifice"

Aid me, whelps 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4) + 3 = 8

2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 = 8

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

damage 1d8 ⇒ 7 for a total damage taken so far of 8.

he gets to his feet as he yells at the minion. "you stupid git, can't even hold a weapon properly. you better bring me a sacrifice before morning, or your blood will greet the sun."

Once he is up, Haluk will charge at the man he was fighting again.

hack and slash 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 3) + 1 = 6 I could use some help here.

male Hobgoblin cleric 2 21/21 HP 1XP Acolytes 2

Damage taken. 1d4 ⇒ 1

"yes, take their weapons from them. Let them feel the sting of their own."

Haluk continues smashing the man with his mace. Still trying to beat him to the ground.
