"It could be possible," Girnt says in response to Snyk. "Goblins are usually unruly creatures that even fight among themselves, but if someone was working with them, someone with enough power to keep them in line, then that would explain why the tribes were working together in the raid yesterday. As for possible culprits, Sandpoint doesn't have many discontents..." Does any possible suspects spring to mind that might want to hurt Sandpoint?

"This is a tomb," Girnt replies, a bit offset by the simple question from the warforged. "We bury and entomb our dead here as a sign of respect for the lives they lived." "As for these tracks, I find them rather disturbing," Girnt continues, assessing what he had found. "Goblin activity, but little recent prints from other species. Maybe a single human or similar humanoid as fresh as these goblin prints. I can make out about three or four goblins." "The real question is why goblins would be here. Nothing to burn. Nothing to kill. Seems the only humanoid prints follow the goblins' though, and they were carrying a heavier load on the way out. Might be one party is tracking the other. Or...well, someone might have taken advantage and tried to start looting. A rather despicable act, but possible with so many strangers here for the festival. The crypt might shine a few lights on these situation, though."

The giant spout of flames proves to be rather distracting for Girnt as well, as he flinches and ends up sending the arrow far into the air and nowhere near the laughing goblin target. Just magic. Girnt lets out a deep breath as the last of the townspeople begin to leave. Hopefully they would get somewhere safely. He is heartened to see a few staying back to help fight, though. Girnt is surprised and angered as he sees the dog appear and collapse. He instantly recognizes one of the more used goblin songs as it begins to drift in the air. Grabbing his own bow and notching an arrow, Girnt keeps an eye out for the creatures while trying to help ebb the flow of chaos around them. "Get to cover! Go indoors and block all entrances until it's over! Stay in groups!" Girnt had experience with goblins, but this was completely unprecedented. The real question is how did they get here? Despite it being a festival, Girnt has still managed to find himself something to do. Helping out with the archery games, Girnt watches as each contestant tries their luck. @GM Sphen: I actually happened upon the main four books in a used book shop a year ago in near perfect condition. Traded in some unneeded books and got them for free. So glad I made that trade. Also, I've gotten as far the glassworks in RotR, so I'm thinking that Girnt might keep in touch with Shaelu occasionally to help keep tabs on the goblins tribes around Sandpoint. @Elery: Actually, I was completely surprised when my Perc added up that high. I even triple checked myself. :p Guess racial advantages can give you that edge. But, yeah, I think Girnt and Elery would know each other, especially in a community as small as Sandpoint when both are Erastil followers.

Background ----------------------- Girnt was born a half-elf, between an adventuring man and a young elf. A one-night stand, the elf was left to raise the half-breed among the many disapproving eyes of the elf-kind. Never able to measure up to the standards of the elves, Girnt finally ran away from the place as a young teenager, not willing to stay with his cold people anymore. After traveling with a few caravans, Girnt finally discovered Sandpoint, a young, sleeply town that didn't discriminate and was surrounded by nature. Girnt decided to make Sandpoint his new home, and his skill at hunting and storytelling helped him settle down quickly. Much happier surrounded by the warmth of humans, Girnt does his best to help out his new home, from keeping tabs on the nearby goblins to entertaining the kids during his free time. Things have been busy since the construction of the new temple started, but now the festival is right around the corner and the town is bursting with excitement. -----------------------
Girnt is also a follower of Erastil. First learning of him during his travels before Sandpoint, Girnt enjoyed the teachings of community and family and now does his best to follow them. He believes in hardwork and helping out where possible, while placing the community first. As such, he is very protective of Sandpoint as a whole. -----------------------
