"Ah! But the mayor is also a woman! Andura Jakos is a wise and compassionate woman who was elected to lead this town back when I was still a lad."

"Go to Osgood's shop across the market from here. It's run by two brothers who are quite good at their work."

The Innkeeper lets out a long sigh..."Look if you really want to know more go see the mayor, she can tell you what happened to the girl and if you're willing I think she could use your help."

The innkeeper pauses for a moment and replies.

"When the mage introduced himself as Kannath he pointed to her and said "she" is my apprentice. I assumed that the person underneath was a girl thought I never saw anything to confirm it.

"Didn't hear her talk, she was pretty short...Still young I think about the same age as my youngest daughter...Twelve winters maybe. Well either that or she's one of the shorter folk."

"Cant really say she wore a cloak to hide her appearance."

"Basically you're stumbling blindly into something you shouldn't be sticking your nose into. The less you know the better I think, walk away while you can."

"I might be able to tell you more but first tell me why you really want to know. You're not with the league I can tell that much so what are you after?"

"Well former member anyway. I overheard a few things and figured out he was running from the league cause they were cross with him for stealing something. Not sure what but seems he didn't run fast enough."

Gil examines the picture and grimaces "The technic league mage, aye I remember him. Came here with his apprentice about a week ago, left a few days ago."

Does look like we lost Xaikon, as for the room and food just pay the amount for what you're getting. 2 silver for each person for a cheap room (he charges per bed for those rather than per room) + food + drink (water is free)

"Give me a description and I will do my best, pretty much every stranger that comes to town stops here."

"My more expansive rooms each only have a single bed while the cheaper rooms have 4 beds each and depending how full we are they are sometimes shared among strangers. You don't have to worry about that right now since I still have several empty rooms."

"I can have a bath prepared if you take a room at no additional charge" replies gil

As a note pathfinders are banned from the country of Numeria by order of the black Tyrant on penalty of death by hanging. Most lodges in the country have been sealed up or destroyed.

"Of course we have plenty of rooms available! You can call me Gil m'lady, I have both nightly and weekly rates depending on your needs. If your just looking for a bunk for the night it's just 2 silver if your looking for a proper room it's 2 gold. I provide a basic meal for of cheese and bread with either but if your looking for more we have roast pheasant or lamb stew tonight for 5 silver more.

"I'm afraid I do not recall seeing that particular dwarf but I will make inquiries for you sir, I will tell you if I discover anything"

The Innkeeper thinks back "I cannot say for sure, several dwarves came along at that period and I sadly cannot remember any names.

"Not recently no. I do get Dwarves from time to time however. Do you know when he came trough?"

The innkeeper comes over "Apologies but when he asked about the tunnels I told him about you...I mean that's Lord Kyle's Stewart! I had to tell him!"

knowledge nobility\royalty or local for lord Kyle

"Please don't bother my other customers Min...and please don't mention those tunnels you promised to keep that a secret and don't you think you should be making a stop at the cathedral? I'm not even sure how your still standing in your condition..."

"Of course sir" he says Nodding to Ozen "...and what will you be having sir?" he says looking back to gloin

"You don't need to bother yourself sir I can take this gentlemen's order myself." says the Innkeeper.

"So how does the exploration fare? It seems you ran into some danger at least."

"Of course I'll have something brought for you."

"I do believe I have a bottle of Ginglebarney Walnut Stout. It is produced by the Ginglebarney Brewery, headed by a clan of gnomes known for their ability to drink copious amounts of alcoholic beverages."

"Well if you can keep guards on the door at all times I would be willing to let you stay here and use this place as your resting place as you explore but if you cant guard it at all times you will simply need to find another entrance to these caverns."

The map is in common there is nothing to translate. You mean the journal?

Having listened to your tale the Innkeeper is a bit pale.

"I'm afraid I don't have what you're looking for. The only serving girls here are my two daughters and sometimes my son likes to help although being only seven winters old he is a bit young to be working. However if that tunnel leads to orc or monster infested caverns then I need to get it closed up as soon as possible, my bouncer is used to dealing with drunk if something dangerous were to come up...I will speak to the lord mayor tomorrow about getting this tunnel sealed up."

"You couldn't fix it? What do you mean?...Err What is this?" he says looking at the tentacle.

"Ah your back! How did it go? Is it safe?"

Caught of guard by the sudden influx of volunteers Gil stammers for a bit.
"I'll never understand adventurers...All so eager to run into danger. Well I extend my offer to all of you. Just check it out and tell me if it's dangerous or not. I'm not particularly rich but I can offer a payment of fifty gold coins or free room and board for a year. Go whenever you're ready. I can show you to the basement whenever you want. I ask only that you don't go around telling folk about a mysterious and potentially dangerous door in my basement...Would be bad for business."

"Of course. I moved a shelf and found the door hidden behind it. It's barricaded and the previous owner never mentioned it when he sold me this place at a very low price two years ago. You do this for me sir dwarf and you can have free room and board for a year."
