Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen seems as if he is about to protest, but nods in understanding. "Please keep me apprised of her situation. She is very important to me." He'll watch her disappear into the infirmary, then take a seat in the waiting area.
"Fei", he says over the connection the monk set up, not knowing if it has the correct range or not, "Tyrrin is being seen to as we speak, but I am not allowed in the room with her. Please update the High Seer at your convenience. I will update when I know more."

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Nods in a combination of thanks and acknowledgement at Fei as he takes Tyrrin, and activates his return token. Upon arrival, he takes her straight to the infirmary. To the first member of staff that he sees, he says "This student has been exposed to radiation, and needs immediate care."

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen moves to Tyrrin's side, brushing the hair out of her face.
"I'm glad you decided to come back after all." he says playfully, but with a slight quiver to his voice. At the mention of getting her back to Avalaon, Ghalen motions to Ace that he would like to carry her.
"I got her." He says.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

He knows he can do nothing for his love, in as much as Fei and Ace are better at healing. He listens as Ephebe explains what she had done. At first, he is overly happy at the thought Tyrrin could survive this, then his shoulders slump, feeling what Tyrrin was likely to feel, and what Jaiye is most likely feeling in a rare display of empathy.
"Oh no...poor Ehos..." He lays a hand in comfort on Jaiye's shoulder.
"Gods...I'm so sorry, Jaiye."

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen smiles. but doesn't look at Tyrrin when she says she loves him. He only turns as she streaks into the sky, not wanting to miss a single second of his brave love's sacrifice. He can feel his heart break as the flash happens, and as he is about to slip into despair, Ephebe's arrival jostles him back into the now.

He looks on in disbelief as Tyrrin is there, again...all he can manage to say is..

"...how...?"

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Turns and looks at Tyrrin for a long second.
::Whatever you're about to do, which it seems I won't like, just know that I love you.::
He then returns to his stoic self, and resumes guarding her, awaiting whatever is about to happen.

Fei wrote:
"Then this room should be cleared, just to be safe."

Ghalen nods at Fei, then looks to the chancellor's men still in the room.

"Leave." he simply says.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen takes a step back as Ace moves forward, then for the first time in a while is taken aback by what he sees. This snaps him completely out of his rage, and he turns a worried eye toward Tyrrin. Seeing Tyrrin free of her captor gives him some relief, as he moves to take up a defensive position between her and any one who could harm her.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen moves over to the Chancellor, and becomes visible with his sword drawn, an anger bordering on madness in his eyes.

"You will fix this, or you will die."

He hasn't attacked anyone, so he should still be invisible...

Ghalen dimendion doors over to where Ehos is, and attempts to discern if he can be removed fro mthe machine safely.

What skills?

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen nods, and shifts into his human form, taking a few moments to shrug off the fatigue of shifting. He then regains his composure, and casts invisibility on himself, and moves up.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

He nods, then watches their flank as Fei does his thing.

Telepathic communication there, correct?

Yeah, one of the benefits of dragon form in this universe :P

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen, even in dragon form, responds to Fei via a click on the radio, and glides down to land near the door, but out of sight of it's occupants, and wills his frightful presence and flame aura to cease.

From above it can be hard to tell that there is a city there at all because of all the trees, but there is one particularly large tree with others arranged around it in a circle that looks to be in the right area to potentially be the chancellor's compound.

Ghalen does a wingover, and flies toward that group of trees. He hovers in front of it when he gets there, and roars, then begins circling in a much tighter pattern, close to the tree, using his frightful presence to unnerve it's occupants, while he looks over the place with detect magic.

Once all three have responded, Fei updates them with what he has discovered.

"The siblings are also on the north end of the city - nearby to the Chancellor, but not in immediate proximity. I do not think they are in good condition, but I cannot quantify that until we get to them."

"We will close on the location momentarily, but let me update the High Seer first and confirm Casilkasheyith's suspicions about any significance to the location. Standby."

Ghalen looks to the north, and decides to take flight. As he takes his dragon form, his rage becomes manifest as the air shimmers around him from the heat his form now radiates. With a powerful downbeat of his wings, he leaps into the sky, gaining a better vantage point from the air. Again looking north, he looks for any large buildings someone of the Councilor's status would occupy, then begins a slow, wide circling of the city.

Casilkasheyith is returning to Avalon to bring medical aid for the injured here. Keep the channel open in case you need one of us to back you up."

"Alright." Ghalen heads toward the palace, cutting down any drow or traitor guardsmen he runs across with extreme prejudice.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

"I...am fine, the gas' effects are wearing off. I will hold here until you give me a heading. Over."
Ghalen takes a minute to calm himself as the dragon blood in him boils with enough anger to get him visibly shaking. The desire to burn everythign down around him to get to her...THE AUDACITY...he takes a few deep breaths...and awaits word from Fei or Ace.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

After the poison wears off, Ghalen looks to pursue one of the other guards as they head off. Over the radio:

"Fei...ambushed...fake guards took Tyrrin via teleport, pursuing remaining agents now."

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Indeed.

He gives a curt nod, converts his sword into it's rifle configuration, and begins to focus on the guards in the area, looking for those with the green leaf Fei described, prioritizing targets from closest to farthest...then he gets the message from Fei. He clicks his mic to acknowledge the message was received.

::Word from Fei: It's Drow, M'lady.:: A low, draconic growl escapes him as he refocuses on targets.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen gets the message from Fei, and some of the color leaves his face. He turns to Tyrrin, and focuses his thoughts...
::Danger is coming from outside. Fei thinks some of the guards are complicit, those wearing green pins. He also thinks this may be some kind of a coup. Orders?::

I am more than willing to run with this as written, but in the chaos you may have forgotten something your character would know, which is that the stage is affected by an enchantment that broadcasts the words of anyone standing on it. Yeah I totally forgot that...rewrite!

Ghalen clicks his radio so Fei knows the message was received.
He looks at Tyrrin as if to speak, then thinks better of it. His focus seems to be divided between the two fighting people in front of him, and watching for something coming from beyond the pavilion.

Turning his head slightly over his shoulder to Tyrrin:
"My Lady, Fei says that another possible threat exists from beyond the grounds. He is investigating.
Perhaps we should end this scuffle quickly and get these people to safety, then sort out this baby business?"

Liren looks bored and sulky, totally oblivious to the young woman approaching the stage and not noticing Jaiye's change in posture. Lira doesn't seem to notice the young woman either, but she frowns as she notices Jaiye kicking off her shoes. She's been keeping an eye on those shoes since Jaiye impales a mouse with her heel earlier. Plus this represented a breach of protocol. She leaned forward to say something, but was interrupted by the commotion on the stage where a new drama was unfolding.

The young woman scrambled onto the stage, no one bothering to stop her since her action was quite unexpected. "High Seer, I beg your help!" she sobbed in an impossibly musical voice. She was a beautiful elven woman, almost angelic in appearance. Her golden hair streamed loose over her shoulders and her large green eyes brimmed with tears as her perfect pink lips trembled with emotion. "For my child," she said, holding out the bundle she was carrying, revealing an infant with a halo of golden hair. "I've begged your son to acknowledge her, but he refuses," she continued, two perfect tears falling down her cheeks.

There were murmurs throughout the crowd as people reacted to this shocking development. The High Seer betrayed no sign of surprise. "Guards, please restrain Ehos," she said coldly, much to the obvious shock of her son as she stepped towards the young woman. "May I see the child?" she asked politely, ignoring the flicker of triumph she saw in the woman's face. "Of course," the angelic woman said, smiling sweetly as she handed the baby to the High Seer.

Meanwhile, back in the stands, Jaiye had leapt out of the box at the woman's first words, shifting in midair and not pausing in her mad dash through the crowd. She had to dodge and weave a lot on the way there. She was nearly caught several times, but she had...

Ghalen springs into action, taking his half dragon form to fly down to the stage, taking up a defensive position between Tyrrin and those on stage and the succubus. He draws his armsmen's blade, only to have it shift back to it's normal two-handed sword appearance.

The moment the mice have cleared the box and fled for good, Fei stops the ultrasonic pulses and gives Jaiye'e beleaguered ears some respite.

The rest of the ceremony crawls by without incident as Lira and Liren sit in subdued silence, throwing occasional wary glares at the 'guests'. There is a great deal of pageantry and several performances, which are no doubt of great cultural significance. Also, really, really dreadfully dull. A small child near the box has fallen asleep leaning against the side of the box. They are drooling and snoring a little and their increasingly embarrassed sibling keeps throwing things at them in the hopes that they will wake up.

The young monk smiles almost imperceptibly at the young child's 'plight' of boredom, but otherwise returns (most of) his attention to the rest of the ceremony. He spares the twins only the occasional, brief glance to ensure they are done with their mischief-making.

Ghalen remains alert, looking for problems, not just in the box they are watching the ceremony from.

There wasn't anything to take offense to in a statement like that, no matter how much he wanted a fight. Eventually he just gave up. "Don't let it happen again," he said stiffly, moving out of the way to let the group continue on.

The young monk nods in admiration of Casilkasheyith's skill in defusing the near-confrontation with the elven man. "Well done indeed," he commends quietly to his companion as they continue on. (^-^)

A little bit after this a group of elven girls practically threw themselves across the path of the group, giggling and stopping Lira as if she were their friend, although her stiffness showed that this was anything but the case. They flirted shamelessly with Liren and one practically literally threw herself at Fei.

Fei was noting Lira's reaction to this new group of elves and weighing the benefits of possibly opening a discrete dialogue with them when one of the young ladies decided to (quite literally) take a more....direct approach to that end.

Quelling his normal mannerism of maintaining a safe distance between himself and someone in such an openly flirtatious mood, Fei does his best to keep his center, and instead bows warmly to her with a smile as she closes the distance to him.

"Fair be our meeting, my lady - as bright as spring's dawning," he says to her in elven, remembering a greeting from the elves of his far-away home.

Without the chancellor's 'help' the preparations went much more smoothly and soon the celebration was back on track. Faaelwen was even able to pause long enough to drink a cup of juice. Ehos gave Jaiye a quick kiss before he left and Lira and Liren didn't bother trying to hide their disgusted expressions.

"Well," Lira said with false cheerfulness, looking at everyone except Jaiye, "It's time for us to escort you to your seats as well. A very special viewing area has been set aside for our honored guests. Please, follow us."

"It is important that everything is in harmony for the ceremony," Liren said smugly.

Tyrrin barely refrained from actually rolling her eyes. "Yes, and I am certain that the high priests will remember that before the actual ceremony begins," she said with forced cheerfulness.

It's mostly of concern because in this situation an incident that might be laughed off elsewhere could be used as an excuse for someone to take offense and cause trouble. I'm really trying not to cause an incident, but we're talking about a really long history of conflict here. There's pretty much bound to be some...awkwardness." Ehos squeezed her arm and she gave him an attempt at a smile. "I'm more used to the straightforward kind of fighting, and I'm good at that. But I will do my best to fight with manners this time. "I agree, this could backfire. The trick is weaponizing the appropriate amount of truth to discredit them. Too little, and you're put on the defensive, too much, and it can destroy people like this to levels you never intended it to reach." he ponders this for a bit...then shakes his head.

"Problem here is that we've given them a lot to play with. Tyrrin brings a group of 'humans' as guests, and Ehos brings his Lycan girlfriend home to this festival, none of which are wrong in any way, mind you. This is compounded if the overall view of Avalon is poor here. They probably view these things as a target rich environment to exploit. There could also be other political problems or shifts going on here that are unrelated to them.
